I kind of did the same. Even though I knew very well any of the professors I had would have been more than happy to write the letters of recommendation.
Yeah, I still feel a little sad knowing I won't take any more classes with them. :( I still had 1 more class with one of them I didn't take. |
I wanted to take Human Growth and Development with one of my psych teachers, but no luck--she was so nice. I'm going to miss my guy friend from the CC, too. I kinda think I'll never see him again.
I always think they'll remember that one off day I had. |
I still keep in touch with the people I'm friends with from the CC and from the University. ^^
I wanted to take Western European Politics, but it didn't fit into my schedule in the 2 fall semesters I took. But, I was happy to take the classes I took of his. It was also good for me to take the Political Science senior seminar class with him since I did mine on comparative politics ^^ |
There's one person I know I'll keep in touch with from the CC, but I didn't really make many relationships with people, there. I just went up for school, and then went straight home. There was never any time to socialize. I just don't know about the guy--I doubt it'll happen.
I took two classes each from two different professors. I'll miss them, but I hope to have good relationships with the new ones, too. |
Yeah, I'm hoping I have some form of good relationship with my new professors and new people I'll meet in Grad school.
When I went to the CC I was there all day ^^" my first semester before mike drove me back and forth- I was there from 8am till my dad got out of work at 4. After Mike during my first semester, I was there from 7.50a till his last class after 3. Then after that it was sometimes I was there till 8.30-9pm because of our classes. After he left I was there all day again ^^" So, I was really happy my sister and I found the group of people which I hung out with at the CC. It was a good thing considering I met Mike through that group too ^^ |

I'm going to get it cut a bit above my shoulders, I suppose. The prices are just fucking ridiculous.... Quote:

@Ser: I used to spend the whole day at Uni every day of the school week, but the prices of gas got to me--and other things, but yeah. CC was a pretty bad place for me for awhile, so I decided I'd like to be there the least amount of time that I could be.
@Kita: Yeah, I hate to say it, but they're projecting gas to be over $4 a gallon this summer. >.> Do you do a major color change, or do you just lighten it a bit? I did highlights a couple of times and decided I'd had enough of that shit because it fried my hair so badly. My hair is slightly below my shoulders now, though it used to go half way down my back. |
Yeah, I wished I didn't have to spend so much time on the campus of the CC. I hated it. -.- I was glad to leave.
Though tomorrow I'll be there at the CC again because Mike is going there to talk to people after work. He might be able to take classes there to raise his GPA ^^ I used to be able to sit on my hair when I was growing up. I hate having long hair now. It's short. ^^ I may need a hair cut in a couple months. Thankfully I have friends who are hairdressers ^^ Edit: Definitely after Mike graduated from the CC and transferred to the Uni, I really hated it since I loved going there to see him when we both went there. |
Ahh, so that's what he's figuring on doing? It's a decent idea.
Yeah--CC just started on a foul foot for me (insanely bad relationship) so I could never bring myself to make it any better. I didn't want to. I made some friends there, too, that I ended up not liking to spend time with, so after that I just started hating the place. I get my hair cut about once every five months. It doesn't have to be perfect for me to like it--it just has to not be related to Cousin It. |
Yeah. I'm happy he has a plan and we'll be starting on it soon :)
Yeah, some people I don't keep in touch with from there for a reason. Though I do have those I do keep in touch with still. I agree. I don't want the Cousin It hair style. I just want it to be easy to manage and look good ^^ |
When I was a kid, my mum would go get her hair trimmed like every three weeks, and colored and cut every couple of months. To me it was a bit of a wtf, and I still don't understand that kind of obsession with beauty. My mom is still like that, and it drives me nuts. "If only you'd put on a little mascara you'd be stunning" blah blah blah. /annoys the hell out of her. It's made me dislike "fake" looking people something fierce.
|
Neither do I. I'm lucky if I can get my hair cut once a year. ^^" I think from the last time I got my hair cut to the time I just got my hair cut almost 2mo ago, I went 2 years I think. I used to dye my hair, now I don't. I have no problem with knowing that by the time I'm in my mid 30s, I'll have a bunch of grey hairs... it runs in my family on my dad's side. By the time I reach my 50s, I'll have white hairs mixing with mine. Does it bother me? No... I believe I found 1 grey hair over the Fall. It didn't phase me... I joked about it because of my gene pool from my Dad.
I hate it if people will comment to me about putting makeup on to make me look better. I look fine without it. Though when I go back to school, I would like to have some stuff just to enhance it a little bit so I look a little bit more professional when I would go out into the working world. But, I am not that type of person who would cake it on. |
I don't mind make to much so long as you don't poke my eye with the mascara but I normally put that on myself. Its funny because I just dyed my hair last night lol but I don't do very often I think the last time I dyed my hair I was still with my ex...wow time flys. So how is everyone?
|
I'm awake now. Just fed the kitties ^^
I don't get it why some women feel the need to cake it on in the mornings because they think they'll look better. I bet their lovers were in for a rude awakening when they first saw their women without make up. Me, I'm perfectly fine with some eye colour and that's it. I hate lipstick. |
@Ser: I couldn't go that long without cutting my hair. :O My hair gets the worst split ends.
I honestly don't know when people in my family start getting grays--I'll have to ask. I think mid forties. My family is big on hair dying to hid the grays, and I'll join in most likely. I don't find the salt and pepper thing on women attractive. I actually found a gray hair back when I was 16, I was totally stressed at the time, and I was all like: SEEEEE?? PROOF! Yeah, I like natural make up--though I am uber fond of Marilyn Monroe red lips. :D But I really don't think it's a good idea to look like a completely different person without makeup. |
I had my hair that long when I was really little and again from 7th grade till 10th grade. Now I go crazy if it gets to be the length where I need to put it up.
My dad started going grey when he was in his mid to late 20s (around my age, I'll be 25 in oct) He had grey hairs when I was little (I was born when he was 29). Now he's 54 and has a bunch of white hairs mixed with his natural dark brown. My entire life my grandmother (his mom) has had white hair. My future :P |
My mom is sick, and just breathing the air around her is making me paranoid. >.>
I just can't pull off shorter hair, I have pictures to prove it. >.> I love pixie cuts, though, and I'd do it if I had the face shape, but I've learned by experience that I don't. My mum has dyed her hair my whole life, and my dad started getting greys when I was around 9, I'd say, so late forties. |
I would not want a pixie cut. my grandmother made my mom and aunt get those when they were younger.
I couldn't pull it off either. nuuu don't get sick! My mom doesn't dye her hair much. I remember when I was a little younger (before she left my dad and I) she would get her hair dyed and cut at a salon not far from our old house. -.- I would just get the box stuff and do it at home. Much cheaper. |
I took her temp earlier today and it was 101. Well, damn, we were going to go have a girl's day and go into the mountains on Friday. *lip quiver* I hope she gets better. >.>
My mom stuck the worst haircut on me when I was a kid. I had short bangs, and shoulder length hair. I looked like such a dork! XD Something about parents makes them give us dorky ass haircuts when we don't know any better just so that they have horrific pictures to show our boyfriends when we get older. I would dye my own hair if the color was within three shades--anything more, like blonde or black, I'd cough up for the professional at least the first time. |
Aww. I hope she feels better soon so you guys can have the girls day. ^^
Thankfully my mom didn't put me through that. my grandmother would have if given the ability to do so. She never understood why we had our hair long. Well.. Not everyone looks good with that short of hair grandma. Now, I have my hair shorter than I used to because it's easier to maintain. Plus I like how I look with shorter hair. Thankfully black is within 3 shades for me ^^" I have dark brown hair, I could pull off a black shade easy. Though my boyfriend figured out I dyed my hair (I may have told him, I don't remember, it was over 5 years ago) But, he could tell. :P |
I hope so, too. She's always sick.
I'd say most women don't look that great with man style, pixie cut, hair. Lol, I can usually tell when people dye their hair, even if it looks good on them. There's something about dyed hair that's always been easy to pick out for me, whether or not it's natural looking. |
Yeah, my close friends figured it out because of the fact my eyebrows were brown ^^"
Yeah, it takes a certain woman to pull off those hairstyles. omg it's sooo nice out, it was awesome today when we were out this afternoon and it is still nice out. I actually have the window open in the bedroom. I wish I was in my room, the air in that room is awesome ^^ ---------- I'm gonna head to bed. I need to work on my sleep pattern. Daylight Savings messed with it. ^^" Night :) |
It's been insanely nice outside here, lately, too. I've been loving it because it smells so good.
Daylights saving messed me the hell up, as well. I can't stand it--I'd just gotten back to being normal. |

My hair is dark blonde naturally, and the first time I dyed it, I dyed it black. I was 15 then and I think I kept it black for a year....then I left it alone for a while, then I dyed it brown, then I started dying it red, then I started dying it bright blonde, and then its been natural for like half a year, and I just dyed it red again. :XD My hair used to be down to my waist, but I can't stand to have it that long anymore. |
@Ely: I enjoyed going to bed earlier. Now I'm screwed up sleep wise. :(
Yesterday was nice walking around the campus of the CC when we went. He had to park in visitor parking which was a bit of a walk from where we wanted to go, but that was fine. It was in the 70s and we walked around for a little bit :) It was nice. I had the window open last night until I woke up at going on 7 to the rain and closed it. :/ I might dye my hair sometime just because. ^^" |
