The trick or treating was really fun! Did you get them all?

HappyStarr 11-04-2010 07:12 AM

Almost! I thought I did, but then remembered I hadn't gotten one from Mr. Mayor yet! xD But it's all cool. They have a new system employed now, so I should definitely get that one. :D

BlackCart29 11-04-2010 05:13 PM

Oh? My mule set is incomplete. What's the new system?

HappyStarr 11-05-2010 12:08 AM

You start a trade with them instead of posting on their profiles. Then they'll put the item in the trade and you accept it. It's in the "Candy Meltdown" sticky in the Event. :D

lol I'm not bothering with a mule set. >.> I only use my mule to keep myself from blowing ALL my gold at once. Then I can save up for things.

BlackCart29 11-06-2010 12:19 AM

haha, I got a mule set so that I could sell them later on and still have a full set. I use my mule mostly to get money and hold items though. I am excited to see how assassin turns out! I've been participating furiously!

TaiyoTsuki 11-06-2010 06:43 AM

Hello there everyone! ^^
I recently entered college myself, and I'm still not used to it. Well, that and I need some pointers on socializing! It's my biggest weakness...

BlackCart29 11-06-2010 03:40 PM

Oh hey Taiyo what's up? Yeah I think college socializing is hard just because a lot of the people aren't real grown ups yet, so it creates a strange alternate reality social environment.

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 01:07 AM

Well, socializing in general is just really hard for me. I've had...limited interaction with people my age, and as a result I consider most people my age total morons....

HappyStarr 11-07-2010 02:29 AM

Aww, I know, Taiyo! D; I have similar issues. I either get along great with kids, or people older than me. The people I can socialize with of my own age are very few. And, coincidentally, they're already my friends.

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 03:06 AM

Same. But what sucks is when you don't realize how much more mature you are until you're around kids who act like teenagers, and you're the only one in the school who acts, looks, and talks like an adult.

BlackCart29 11-07-2010 03:52 AM

Yeah, it's a jarring reality. Are you having any problems?

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 03:57 AM

With homework, no. With my lack of confidence, yes, but nothing new. My confidence level has been close to zero for as long as I can remember...

HappyStarr 11-07-2010 04:16 AM

Well, that's better than less than 0. Mine comes and goes in spikes. So irritating.

BlackCart29 11-07-2010 04:19 AM

I've always been lucky because I'm self confident, but even then sometimes I have problems. It's rough~

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 04:30 AM

Yes, you are lucky.

Why does it seem that whenever I have relatively high confidence spike, something happens that reminds be that I'm shit?

And what's NaNoWriMo?

HappyStarr 11-07-2010 04:50 AM

National Novel Writing Month: Write 50,000 words in a month. ...Except I'm failing so far.

Ling 11-07-2010 05:03 AM

Ever since I heard of NaNoWriMo I've been wanting to participate however because its in November...I've found that November is a very inconvenient month to do it in.

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 05:48 AM

Ah. Good for me, since I'm an aspiring author.

It really is. I have my birthday, my brother's birthday, several friends' birthdays, Thanksgiving family week, and Finals all crammed into 30 days. Which is probably why I've only ever succeeded once. In 12th grade. When I dropped math to take another art class, we didn't have to take P.E. so I was in Animation...and..ya.

 So far, I haven't done anything for my wordcount.

Ling 11-07-2010 07:31 AM

LOL....for me it's mainly study commitments that get in the way of me participating in NaNoWriMo.

TaiyoTsuki 11-07-2010 07:55 AM

Same. It's interfereing with my regular writing as well, sadly...

BlackCart29 11-07-2010 01:03 PM

just so you guys know they run some type of NaNoWriMo pretty much every month. They're not as big an event as the November WriMo, but if you look online you'll find that there are other sites where people are trying to reach the 50k in a month. I personally participate in JulNoWriMo, because November just doesn't work for me in terms of having time to write.

floatingfaggot 11-07-2010 01:52 PM

In the UK, You can start college at the age of 14.
but most start at 16/17, does that apply in here?

BlackCart29 11-07-2010 03:10 PM

Well, it's called the University Library because we generally talk about college stuff, classes, roommmates, etc. It's really for anyone that's in college, old or young as they may be

Ya, I've only heard of the one in July so far. Maybe I'll try that. There's also a year-long challenge to get to a million words (obviously not necessarily in the same project). So maybe in a couple years, after writing is more regular for me, I'll try that out. :3
