Have a nice night with you boyfriend ^_^...

No, it was not cute when she was up about 4 above and then decides to land on me... It hurts.. and knock the air out of me... when i was in the middle of a good night sleep... then again i think i kicked her out my room after that... >.>'

Rusalka 04-18-2012 04:55 PM

Today was supposed to be last day of class.. but yesterday was for me. I didn't see the point going in for one hour long class today.. and I was waiting for a parcel to be delivered..

But it was delivered before I even had to leave..

dessertdesiert 04-18-2012 04:58 PM

I wanna be out of class >.>'

Rusalka 04-18-2012 07:09 PM

Blah sorry got distracted elsewhere for hours.. I still need to finish the last homwork assignments.

ElysiumFate 04-18-2012 07:39 PM

*pokes the fragile Mene with a stick* About time. >.> <.< >.>

Rusalka 04-18-2012 07:52 PM

-nod- it was annoying while it was down.

ElysiumFate 04-18-2012 08:32 PM

I was checking the Mene facebook constantly. I was having horrible withdrawal symptoms.

Anyway, I applied for summer classes the other day. Not happy about that.

dessertdesiert 04-18-2012 08:56 PM

haha... I was doing the same thing Elysium

Rusalka 04-18-2012 08:58 PM

I'm glad school is finished for me.. I need to make up some money I lost.. spending on things like a body for my Severus Snape head.

ElysiumFate 04-18-2012 09:01 PM

Yeah, I would've posted on there, but I have a one of a kind last name, and I'm paranoid. I also didn't want to make a fake facebook just for that.

Sad thing is, I knew who a lot of the people posting were because I haunt the photo thread in GD.

@Rusa: Is it a ball jointed doll?

Ach. I'm just finishing my A.A. so I've got a long ways to go.

Rusalka 04-18-2012 09:40 PM

Yes, a body in fact. I got two new boys in the same amount of days. Today I got a Soom Mecha Angel body for my Alan Rickman/Severus Snape MNM head.

Yesterday I received a Dollshe Bernard after a year long wait.

Ack sorry I keep getting distracted. So much planning to put into Severus.. @[email protected] No time or money.

ElysiumFate 04-18-2012 10:13 PM

Ahh. Very nice. BJDs can be really pretty little things, but they do cost an arm and a leg. There was a pun in there somewhere.

It's okay. I'm writing an essay, and my family still wants me to go get food.

Rusalka 04-18-2012 10:21 PM

Ah, they're not so little either. My two new boys both nearly stand at 3 feet tall!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-P...7/DSCN3193.JPG

These are the two new boys. Snape is obviously on the left. Parfait on the right.

Those are the only clothes I have for them atm. I'm surprised any I have fit them at all to be honest.

ElysiumFate 04-18-2012 10:43 PM

Oh, my!

I didn't know BJDs came in that size. I thought they were all like 12 or 14 inches tall.

The one on the left definitely looks like Snape, that's for sure.

Rusalka 04-18-2012 10:55 PM

the 12-14inches are merely one of the next size up for dolls... I can't believe I had to convert that. BJD is always in CM because Asia doesn't use the .. metric? I don't know the names of the different systems.

But yeah.. I only have one doll below that size range. I have five that are over two feet now. and six that are 16 inches.. -converts again for you-

ElysiumFate 04-18-2012 11:12 PM

Metric is everyone but the U.S. The U.S. goes by imperial--which means we're stuck in the past.

But very nice. I like dolls to an extent, but they're often too expensive for me to care to collect them.

Rusalka 04-18-2012 11:40 PM

Yeah, part of me wonders how I managed to get the amount I have. I don't generally keep to the 'cheaper' side of the hobby. Severus alone was 200 for the head and 500 for the body. The one on the right, Parfait was 600 full and that was on sale.

ElysiumFate 04-18-2012 11:49 PM

I have several porcelain dolls--only one of which I bought for myself. I think profuse collections of dolls (like one on every horizontal surface) are...creepy...so I told my friend(s) to quit buying/giving them to me. The ones I have are just fine, but I certainly don't want anymore. Really, I could've dealt with just having one or two, but I have about eight now.

The one I bought for myself is a Chinese geisha doll, and I got her for four dollars from a second hand store. She was probably fifty or so when she was new, and she looked new when I bought her. She's my favorite, but I have several Victorian style dolls from friends and family.

For some reason people will spend time with me, and see that I own like ONE of something, and they decide from that that I'd love to have a hundred of them. I've got so many Angels because of that, and like I said, the dolls, too.

Rusalka 04-18-2012 11:55 PM

Yeah, I wish people would see mine and ask about buying me one. But the cost would deter them right away! Haha..
Maybe I'd suggest they just buy me the clothes instead... which is the same amount as our own clothing.

I guess you wouldn't quite want to see my full collection then.. I have 12. And unfortunately I'm not finished collecting.

ElysiumFate 04-19-2012 12:01 AM

Oh, I'd enjoy seeing your collection. The creepiness I'm talking about are people that have, like, whole HOUSES dedicated to the collection, and the only thing you can see are a thousand tiny doll eyes evil eyeing you. That would be creepier than all hell. >.>

Yeah, if I were your friend irl I'd probably spring for some clothes for your dolls. Or I'd make you some. =3

Rusalka 04-19-2012 12:29 AM

There are a few in the hobby around the world like that. I'm hoping mine doesn't turn out that way. Heh. But one day I would like a specific room to keep the dolls. I lack the space here sadly.

Hehe would be nice. I don't know how to sew at all. I need to commission out Sev's outfit... will cost maybe $150 at a lowbrow guess.

ElysiumFate 04-19-2012 12:42 AM

That wouldn't be too bad.

Do you just collect the dolls to look at, or do you do the posing and picture taking sub-hobby?

I can do pretty much anything if I've got a decent set of directions. A good pattern and a tiny bit of practice would end up with something decent out of me.

Rusalka 04-19-2012 12:55 AM

I do the picture taking sub-hobby. I'm still not great at it either, or just lack locations to take the dolls. But I enjoy it anyhow.

Most of my sewing projects end up in the garbage because they were unsuccessful.

ElysiumFate 04-19-2012 01:22 AM

Awh. Well practice makes perfect in both cases. ^.^

It took me years to learn how to draw, but I got pretty good at it eventually.

serena yuy 04-19-2012 04:07 AM
