Yeah, Mike deals with that. Even though he's a day worker now. He's usually manager during the open-day shifts.
We're having issues with keeping people at the store I guess. I dunno. I just know I've had to take shifts because people call in, get fired, etc. She has me scheduled 4-9 lately, which is ok. But, annoying sometimes. At least when I worked 11.30-7, I still had time to hang out with friends after work. |
Shoot, forgot I was in here. I'm playing a ridiculous game. :ninja:
ANYWAY. @Ser: There's no way in hell they'll ever evacuate us. It's just the wind is horrible, and the fire is so big...the smoke is profuse. @Birdie: Still the same game you mentioned that's keeping him on the computer? |
lol Boys and their toys. :P
|
yeah it's wizards 101 and it's kinda cute but childish but there's a million things to do on it. But for the most part he's in love with this tower defense mini game
lately if he's home he's on it yeah 4 is a little hard to hang out before hand and 9 is okay if your going like to a concert or clubbing but everything else it's to late, everything is closed |
Hahahahahaha. Sorry. Wizards 101 was not the game I was expecting to hear. XD
|
lol he likes all kinds of games, mostly shooters but I suck at those
Wizards is more my kind of game and originally he was all "we'll play it together" but no he plays the tower defense pet game and never lets me on XD have you ever played it? Or just seen the cartoon ad? |
Yeah. I do miss working the earlier shifts because of the people who were on the shift. But, I'm fine. Some of the day crew people got on my nerves. Especially a couple of the girls.
|
working with cool or un cool people can make or break a day
where they the preppy annoying " I can talk but not work" kind? |
@Birdie: I've just seen the commercials with moms and their kids playing it together.
|
eh, kind of. That and they would talk back to me when I would actually say something nice to them letting them know something and they'd come back and snap back "I'll listen to anyone in a black shirt (manager) and gold name tag"
I can't wait till I get my new nametag... if they will ever give it to me. I'm a crew trainer. Supposed to at least get the name tag so they'd stop. But, they'll still snap back. All I usually say is nicely that a) they're giving too big of a portion on food and need to watch the portion, not repeating the orders on register, forgetting to mention if they want a dessert. I only do that so these people won't fail secret shopper or get bitched at by a manager. Oh and I wish I could tell them that the managers actually tell me to let them know these things because, oh lets see, the managers can't be everywhere all at once. -.- I had a couple of these girls yell at me or snap at me and say I was being rude to them. -.- |
@Ely it is cute game you get adorable little pets and mounts, fancy houses (what I wanted XD), they have little gardening plants and stuff, really theres a million things to do. So that's why Russ decided to buy it because there would be "something for both of us" but now he just uses it all the time and if I ask to go online he's like "you can do it when I'm at work" like I just sit there and play all day, rather then all the projects "he's given me" which also hurt a bit because it's things we both decided to get done. It's like now that I'm the "home maker" I'm just expected to do everything without appreciation :( he's never been like that
@ Sere sounds like there just pissed your a better worker then they are, or they don't care at all and are fine if other fail because of it. At sonic we had secret shoppers all the time and if you got 100% the managers we give you stuff, like one time we all got a 25 visa gift card. I would be pissed if one of those girls cost me that because she didn't ask a simple question. I HATE it when people don't repeat the order though. Not only does it ensure accuracy but it gives you more time to make it before the clock starts ticking. |
@Birdie: I'm sorry he's acting like that. Though I know my apology doesn't help. I'm sure it's just a phase, though. You might have to smack him upside the head once or twice, but you'll figure out how to fix it.
|
Yeah, I passed secret shopper when I was on register one time. Only thing I forgot was to ask if they wanted a dessert. But, I still passed and am a pretty kick butt worker. ^^"
I guess the lazy people just want to do it their way, don't care about what I have to say that may be helpful and will bite them in the ass soon. With us, we ensure accuracy. The clock starts ticking the second the cashier presses a button on the register that is a food item we on the line make or have. ^^" So, it sucks when the customer does the following: 1.5min into the order "Oh! I actually want that on Wheat", "Oh, can I have (insert item here) added in my burrito" (I have already wrapped it and marked it and have it all ready.... Now I have to re-open it and add the item) 1.5min into order¨ Still ordering stuff, taking forever to figure out what they want AT the register... When they had already stood in line for a bit to have time to figure everything out. |
Well honestly I haven't even said anything yet, I'm just waiting like a week for the new-ness to ware off and then I hope it will be less crack like XD really it was just the attitude though, I think I'm on even less now then when I was working. When I worked I would come home all pissed off and I would just want to sit and not do much else, so I was on all the time and our house was clean but that was it.
Now our yard is amazing (IMO of course XD) and our house is all neat and organized, and all the projects I've been doing have turned out well (I'm actually using some in a little design portfolio >.<) so it motives me to do more of them and it seems like he doesn't even notice :( @Ser lazy people never care about how things are supposed to be, they just want the pay check and they would be happy if all they had to do was sit there. What I hate is they'll order a ton of stuff and then at the very end be like "This is all vegetarian" well great now I get to start over from the beginning who want's 20 bucks worth of food they don't want now? I don't get how people think sometimes, you want something made fresh, not sitting there all day, but you want it in 10 seconds o.O maybe it's just because I've worked in food that I know they start making it as soon as you say the item, but honestly how else are you supposed to get it that fast? |
Oh and I forgot this
"Oh, I actually don't want this anymore, but I want these 5 items now instead" ---------- Post added 06-25-2012 at 02:17 AM ---------- Oh some of these girls are like that actually, they don't want to do the work right, all they care about is the check they get each week. Which is fine, they can act like that, get into trouble, have their hours cut because the managers don't think they'll be useful, and then they quit because they don't like how their being treated/hours cut. Ahh weeding out the lazy. But it's ok... I hope one day when they bitch about me not being a manager and that they don't have to listen to me, etc. I hope I can sit there and tell them. "oh but guess what, if I had the availability, I would be a manager, so shut up. Oh and by the way, I am a crew trainer. Don't believe me because I don't have the nametag, go talk to our GM" But I'm not that person. |
you probably don't have to deal with this because your not there after bar close
but bar rush's SUCK all the drunks are loud rude sloppy and of course haven't a CLUE what they want change there mind a ton of times, then when they finally DO make a choice they are super picky, or they just order like 50 bucks worth of drunk munchies, oh and they would hit on me a lot I was like wow you must be wasted to want me while I'll look like this that's good of you to take the high road. Calling bitches out on there shit tends to only escalate the situation. Honestly they all must know your above them name tag or not. I hate it when people don't do anything while they are there but then complain they get no hours. Well why would I pay you to do nothing? |
We close before the bars close thankfully. Taco Bell can deal with the drunkards. Last Call usually is after 2.30, and weekends we're closed at 2.
Nope, not many people know I'm a crew trainer. The workers who understand the layout of our schedule sheet only know because they're on the top as a manager, or the top part of the crew member portion where all of us trainers are. So, the rest of them just think I'm like the rest of them and they think they're better than me for some reason. I keep forgetting to say something about the nametag, but a couple of our managers still don't have their new tags yet. I really don't care except for the reaction from the bitchy bitches to wonder why I have a different nametag, what makes me different from them. But, I really don't care ^^" Yeah, once they snap at me and get all bitchy at me, I usually just tell them that I wasn't trying to be rude that I'm only helping. And if need be, the manager will involve themselves if they're near or the bitch gets more bitchy and I just get the manager. |
One of these days I'm going to kill a radio that dares to play Death Cab for Cutie. The radios here have been playing it a lot lately, and it reminds me of things I don't like to remember. >.> /hears it playing in the background.
@Birdie: That stuff just happens. Just as long as you're proud of yourself, that's all that matters. If he doesn't eventually get over it, like Is aid...just smack him around a bit. |
yes you are lucky then. I was a taco bell a few nights ago and this one girl was WASTED and COMPLETELY naked in the back seat of the car. Her two friends we not quite as drunk and trying to keep her contained, but she kept like flinging herself up againts the widow and screaming drunken gibberish O.O
Oh they don't know, your nicer then me I would be like "I'm a trainer actually and obviously I need to work a little more closely with you XD" I hope you get the fancy name tag soon. Rubbing stuff in people faces can be fun XD @Ely I think he would realize if I said something, but I don't want to nag or do that house wife "YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I DO FOR YOU" melt down, so ideally it will just blow over. But if it doesn't change for a bit then I'm just not going to do anything for a little bit XP I'm sure he would notice that XD still though I actually think I am going to buy him his own computer with my next shoot. That will at lest fix that problem XD |
I think that's the best way to do it. That housewife breakdown that you just mentioned is so irritating, though I understand why women do it, and you can't blame them.
You could just stop doing things that effect him. Like his laundry, etc. That way you don't have to live in a pigsty, but he still gets the picture. |
My manager did say something about it to a few people when I was near by talking with them one day. So, some of them do know ^^" But they're the people who don't act like dicks to me. ^^
O.O I would not have liked to have worked drive thru that night then. Glad I never close anywhere. Sorry that you have to go through that with him, hopefully one day he realises that you do a lot around the house right now for him since you are home. But, men sometimes don't realise it so quickly ^^" |
yeah I know he's not here to see what I do so I can understand how he doesn't realize how much it is which I think is the issue that causes that, and he is working for me (kinda) so i don't mind doing everything for him, I just want a "thanks" or I'm going to start buying my own thank you presents XD
that's the other thing. Russ is normally pretty clean (for a guy XP) but now he doesn't pick up after himself at ALL. It wouldn't take me all day to clean if he hadn't become such a train wreak. Which like I said I wouldn't care, just a thanks  All in all though this is like maybe the second time I've ever had to complain about russ, and it's over a very typical realtionship hurdle so I still am grateful to have him. Plus if I wasn't SO possessive over the computer that would help to but whenever he's on it I'm like.... "that's mine" XP @Ser Good, hopefully the manager informs more of them >.< be glad, closing sucks anyway, if it's not drunk or tired people you still have to do all the end of the night cleaning which is super lame thanks but your right men are pretty dense XD I should be showering but I'm all post deprived XD |
I'm not a great housekeeper...I mean, mold doesn't typically start to grow on crap, but still. I hate to hell when someone makes a mess out of something that I've just cleaned, though.
Did he turn into a train wreck for any specific reason other than he knows you have time to pick up after him, now? My space is a mess because I don't have time to clean 90% of the time. It's okay if I start out with a clean environment and work to keep it that way, but if it's already a bit dirty...tis just going to get worse. Yeah, he needs his own computer one way or another. I don't share that well, but I sure as hell don't share computers. |
I hate it when I had to work till midnight those few times. I made sure i don't have to do it that often. It's not my fault. It's because of my ride situation.
I think I'll head to bed now. It's getting late and I want to get some good sleep just in case the managers call me and want me to come in early tomorrow ^^" |
Good night then Ser
@ Ely: I'm pretty clean, but that's just I'm like "I WILL NOT BE MY MOTHER" XD I dunno honestly it could just be that I notice it more now to. It used to be that we would both just clean the whole house together on out weekend, and while we were working we would just kinda pick up after we used it. So now with me cleaning everyday I notice all the little things that I never did before. Like he drinks 2 - 5 cups of coffee in the morning and I swear he gets a clean cup and spoon each time! I didn't think he did that before but if I think about it I can't really be sure. but yes he's getting some intel re-built desk top. I can't live with out my lap top anymore XD when we both worked he would only use it while I wasn't around and I got it 100% of the time so that could be why he thinks I'm on all day still. I suppose I could be, but it would be like post go do something come back in 20 min, so instead of me being distracted and leaving people hanging I just don't even turn it on until I'm done with stuff, but then it seems like everyone is already asleep |
