Ugh. I rear ended a truck a week ago, and totaled my car. The truck I hit has absolutely no damage (go figure) because I hit more the trailer hitch than the car and I was only doing like 30 max. Of course, I don't remember the 5 minutes before it or actually hitting it, but I didn't have my phone and wasn't touching the radio, so I have no clue whether the car stopped short or what. It's bad enough that I have to bum rides off of people for a month while my car gets fixed, and my father is FURIOUS. Apparently I'm disrespectful because I'm a bad driver. But the guy is like making a bigger deal than is needed about how he missed appointments (he's an eye doctor) and such! Like dude, you were fine, you were on the side of the road for literally 10 minutes, and you saw a young girl sitting there sobbing and apologizing profusely to you, do you have NO heart?

@Queen: sounds like he doesn't have a heart at all besides his car was just dented as oppose to yours being totaled.

My cat's 11, but still very active and loving. She's much more careful than she was as a kitten, but she can still leap the 3 1/2 feet to get up onto my bed. Loves to play and loves her catnip. She's such a sweetie.

I don't have a cat.

Elijah is 15 and is my little boy. :) I don't mind taking care of my special little guy,. He is diabetic and I love him to pieces.
I didn't come home last night (spent the night with Mike) and then I worked this evening. got home around 10. Eli is sitting on the couch and earlier he was staring at me. He kept looking at me and had this longing look on his face. He walked over and stood on the arm of the chair to get petted. Then I got up to make myself some fruit salad, picked him up first though. He had no claws out. He actually wanted to be held for a min. He purred his little head off and let me hug and kiss him and hold him. He normally hates being picked up. Made me so happy.

My cat loves to be held. She runs up to the door when I come home and purrs like a motorboat when I pick her up. Before I had my cat we just had my mom's cat, and while she was really sweet, she was very touchy, so when I got my cat I picked her up constantly in hopes she'd get used to it, and I think it worked quite well.

I'm pretty close to my cat because she's been such a constant through a lot of hard times.

Yeah, Elijah hates being picked up most of the time. But, when I go to school or are away for a bit (even just one night), and then come home. The second he hears my voice call out "Eli (or Elijah) Mommy's home" he perks up, comes walking quickly and mews at me purring his little butt off like a motor boat. :)

When all the shit fell apart in my life when my parents separated in 2008, Mike was away at school and my sister was still living in Ireland. All I had was Eli really. I enjoyed my nights curled up in my bed at the house and at the apartment with my kitty curled up with me. Both him and Emi.

Mist always meets me at the door unless she's asleep when she hears my key in the lock. I've always loved that. :) Then I usually go downstairs for awhile and once everyone's gone to sleep I call her in an almost inaudible whisper and she comes running to spend a few hours with me purring. ^.^

My cat's not that empathetic. If she's with you it's because she wants to be, not because she knows you're sad. XD BUT, I love her peppiness, and it usually brings me out of funks.

I've had Elijah for so many years and he's a very submissive cat. He attached so quickly and will come to me when he feels like it, and it seems sometimes it's when I am upset. He makes me feel much better :)

I figured out what he wanted. He wanted me to put the footrest up on the chair so he could jump up and be closer to me. ^^

The cat we had till I was 14 was one of those cats that appeared out of nowhere the second something went wrong. I'll always miss her. She was such a pretty girl with a heart of gold.

He was there for a few min, walked up to me, I pet him, then he went back to his spot on the couch. But, his spot on the couch is close enough for me to pet him. ^^

Emi was kind of like that. She would run out mewing her cute mew when someone would be screaming. She hated it when my mom would be yelling... Which was a lot. So, Emi hated my mom.
The few times dad and I would yell at each other, she would come running out mewing, we'd stop right when she would because we would feel horrible and then one of us would pick her up. I miss that girl. Dad still isn't over her passing. I still cry a bit when I think of her. A couple weeks ago on Friday the 13th, I posted a pic of her as my facebook profile pic (she was a black cat)

It took me a couple years to get over the passing of the cat I mentioned in my last post. I still miss her and think to myself how much I wish she'd just walk around the corner one day.

The cat I have now is a good cat, but she needs to be balanced out by a calmer cat like my first cat was or she gets to be a bit much. The cat we replaced my mom's cat with is so skittish, and while she's calm, she just doesn't cut it as a balance to my Mist.

Amber loves me...when it's cold out. Haha in the winter she sleeps in my bed every night, but once it gets warm she sleeps on the living room floor. Not couch. Floor. She wakes up my mom every morning when she decides it's time for breakfast.

Maggie just meows and sits by her food bowls till I feed her. She also like to nuzzle me and wakes me up then I tell her to let me sleep lol aren't cats just the best cuddle buddys?

Yes they are! Especially when they start purring and refuse to move!

I know and you've gotta go to the bathroom really bad.

Oh look, crap is gonna hit the fan in my life and it's partially my mom's doing. I'm so excited for more crap in my life. [sarcasm]
