((Mmmkay I'll start.))
Lyda Muse was excited. And nervous. Really really nervous actually. She had just got her masters in psychology three months ago. And already she had just recieved her first case. It was a big important one too. It scared her a bit to be honest. It also made her feelig important. Though she had heard a rumor. That the reason she got this client was that everyone else was to scared. Lyda shook her head forcing herself not to think that. She closed her eyes focusing on good things. |
Her client was kept back in solitary confinement, in cell sixty-four. He was one of the only ones who wasn't forced into a straitjacket...he always seemed to wriggle his way out of straitjackets, so it was useless to try and confine him to one.
Two orderlies led Lyda back down the hallway, and then left, wishing her good luck, once they reached room sixty-four. |
Lyda said her thanks to the orderlies before she took a deep breath. She centred herself before she entered the room using the key. She wasn't quite sure what to expect but she kept an opened mind and her head held high forcing herself to look confident. She quickly closed the door once she was in and began to look around the room for the man. Granted it wasn't hard to miss him. He was huge. Not in weight but in height. Lyda wasn't tall, and only stood at 5 foot 3. Needless to say she was a bit intimidated.
The man had a crazed, manic sort of look to him...his eyes looked...wild, almost. Feral. Even from just a glance, one could tell that there was more than one thing wrong with this man, and he wasn't completely right in the head. He didn't look up at her. He had had therapists before, and wasn't in the mood to deal with one right now...he would let her convince him to talk, if she even could...
Luda paused composig herself a bit before slowly going forward finally letting her worry and fear go. "Excuse me sir…" She said politely in a light voice as she looked as him. Her eyes seemed currious and sad as she watched him. "I'm here to talk to Ulyou, I am to be your counselor for as long as you need or want one."
"I don't want one." The man's voice was just as manic as his eyes. He twitched slightly, eyes snapping up to meet hers. His feet were shuffling back and forth. "It's not as if I have any free will in here. There is no 'wanting' in here..."
Lyda remained calm looking at him, "Well sadly for now the state thinks you need one..." She said softly looking at him thoughtfully. "And you always have free will perhaps you aren't looking at your situation correctly..." She offered gently.
The man broke into a maniacal stream of laughter, which lasted for a few long moments. "Do you think I am in here because I want to be?" His head tilted to the side, and he flashed her a large, toothy grin. "I have no free will."
Lyda blinked in surprise when he laughed honestly startled a bit. She sighed looking at him, "You are here because you're considered a danger to the outside world and yourself..." She replied looking at him, "Once you adjust things will get better...It's just rough at first..." She said offering a smile.
The man grunted. "I wouldn't hurt myself if someone paid me to. Others...now, I don't mind harming others...I'm a sadist, you see, in the bedroom and outside of it...I can be gentle when I want to be. But I don't like it when people cross me."
"Why do you hurt people?" She asked him as se slowly sat down into a folding chair across from. She watched him gently trig not to judge. She didn't like to judge people quickly.
"I think it is fun."
The way he said that...it was just bone-chillingly calm. He didn't seem to like the fact that she was so formal, and hadn't even called him by name yet. "Like some people think clubbing or playing video games is fun...I think..." He looked up, completely calm and serious, "...watching the life drain out of someone's eyes...along with their blood...playing God...that is fun." |
Lyda blinked feeling a bit unnerved by him. She was a small town girl, in a town where no big crimes ever happened, other then some petty murders and a couple suicides. So seeing this man saying he liked to kill and hurt, wasn't normal. "Ah.." She said then looked down thinking as if she suddenly wanted to change the subject.
"Well then...." She paused, she was about to tell him her name. Truth was she didn't want him knowing her name, but since she knew his she figured it was the polite thing to do. "I'm Lyda..." She said having to force herself to hold out her hand. She was hoping that he wouldn't shake it, she didn't think he would either. |
He recoiled, bringing his arms up near his face in case she was going to strike him. Judging by how quickly he reacted, employees here had tried to hit him before...and perhaps other patients, as well. Once he scrutinized her closely and made sure that nothing was going to happen...he lowered his arms.
"Curry." |
She nodded politely looking at him. "Why did you do that? Why did you curl up like that?" She asked softly and a bit worried. Slowly she let herhand fall uselessly as she watched him.
"Well, I thought you were going to strike me," Curry informed her, simply. "I have had orderlies strike me before. It's a common occurrence..."
He didn't seem like he was lying... |
".....They shouldn't have..." She said frowning as she looked at him, "Well I won't hit you...I promise you that...." Lyda said softly offering a small smile.
Curry arched an eyebrow, and then rested his chin on his knees. He was big in nearly every way...really too tall for his own good. "All right."
"I wouldn't have the strength to anyway." She muttered to herself. "Anyway…before we actually start anything…perhaps we shoulda get to…know each other…" She said hesitantly.
The look on Curry's face was priceless. He had taken that in many different ways...there were hundreds of possibilities, after all. "All right...what did you have in mind?" he asked, slyly.
Lyda blinked seeing the look on his face. She was sheltered, but could grasp what Curry was thinking. She narrowed her eyes a big insulted. "Nothing nothing like that." She said hurriedly. "Just talking." She stressed.
"Oh." Curry chuckled, and then sprawled himself out slightly. "That's fine, as well. I was preparing to lay on the charm..." He shifted to the side and then patted the space next to him. "Take a seat. What do you want to talk about?"
Lyda forced a half nervous laugh and looked at him. Slowly and carefully she got up and sat next to him. "Well why don't we talk about sports…" She said, "Or music…" She offered looking up at him.
