Damien chuckled and pulled her close, kissing her temple. "We'll see."

Rose cuddled close to him as they got into the car. She pointedly ignored the lighthearted teasing from her cousins the entire way back to the house.

Damien chuckled and ignored them as well, just pulling Rose closer. He figured he'd have to deal with her family eventually, but until then, he wouldn't unless he had to.

Once they got back to the house, Rose immediately went to go change out of her dress. She desperately wanted to put her jeans back on. She liked dresses, of course, but they weren't ideal for visiting family in the middle of the woods, or for curling up on the couch with Damien. So jeans it was.

Damien went to go get back into more comfortable clothes, aka jeans and a t-shirt. Because, really, there was no need to stand on formality anymore, and he wanted to be comfortable now. He'd dressed up and been good and all that, now it was his time.

Once Rose was comfortable, she went to find Damien. She wanted to get a few more details on exactly why he wanted her to go with him that night. And if they ended up kissing each other senseless, well, she wouldn't mind that.

Damien was outside lounging, just sprawled in the grass for the moment. Hey, he figured he was allowed to relax now. And he'd figured that she'd want some time with her family while they were all around.

And that was where Rose found him a few moments later.

"Already trying to nap in the sun?" she asked, nudging him slightly with her foot. She grinned. "You're such a housecat sometimes."

"He's gotten me into bad habbits." Damien stretched briefly. "Besides, I was waiting to see what you'd do. I figured you'd want to spend some time with family while they're here."

"Don't go blaming Thor for that," Rose teased as she sat down next to him. "The cousins and I already have plans to visit the skating rink and the horseback trails before we leave, like every year. You're welcome to come, if you like, it's usually pretty fun."

"Sure. Sounds good to me." Damien shrugged. He liked horses well enough, although they were sometimes skittish around him. He'd be sure to be on good behavior, though.

"Alright," Rose replied, smiling a bit. "We're heading out in a couple of hours to the trail. The skating rink will be tomorrow, based on how sore everyone ends up being after today."

Damien nodded. "Alright. Well, we'll see how it goes." And in the meantime, he could just spend time with her. Which was always good.

Rose grinned and settled back on the grass next to him.

"I still think you're just a big housecat sometimes," she teased gently, looking at him.

Damien snorted. "I'd like to think I'm more dignified than a housecat," he said, slanting a look at her.

"Most times," Rose allowed. She snuggled a bit closer to him. "Other times, you nap in the sun and sprawl out in the most undignified way I've ever seen. Just like a housecat."

Damien snorted. "Yeah, yeah. Hush, you." He pulled her down next to him, keeping an arm around her.

Grinning a bit, Rose rolled over a bit and gave him a kiss.

"You know you love me," she teased.

Damien grinned. "Yes," he agreed easily, kissing her again. "Care to have me demonstrate how much?"

Hey, they had a couple of hours still. And she started it. Really.

Rose blushed brightly when she realized what he said.

"You do?" she asked between kisses. She hadn't expected him to actually admit it, she'd mostly been teasing. Mostly.

"Yes. I do." Damien grinned briefly and kissed her again. "Surprised?" Now he was just teasing, because he loved when she blushed.

Rose returned the kiss, still blushing.

"A little," she admitted, snuggling closer to him. "Not a lot, but a little."

Damien just grinned again and pulled her over, kissing her again. "You look surprised."

"A little," Rose repeated. She squeaked a bit when he pulled her over to him. "I wasn't expecting it." She laid her head on his chest. "Did you mean it?"

"I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it." Damien kept his arms around her, looking at her to guage her reaction.
