Damien nodded. "I can ask Taylor to come over if you want," he offered. "You two can hang out and watch movies."
"We'll see," Rose said. "I might take you up on that." It was a bit more than a 'might' really, since the house would seem too big without Sera there, but she didn't want to interrupt Taylor's evening.
Damien nodded and kept rubbing her shoulders for a little while. He didn't mind, and he figured she could use it.
Rose sighed softly in pleasure as he kept rubbing her shoulders.
"What did I do to deserve this?" she asked, tilting her head back to look at him. |
"Putting up with Taylor when he's worried," Damien said with a grin. "Without snapping at him or anything."
"We've all been worried," Rose pointed out. She tilted her head forward when he hit a particularly tight spot on the back of her neck. "Oh, right there..."
Damien worked on the knot until it was gone. "Feel better?" he asked quietly.
"Yeah," Rose said. She smiled a bit. "You're good at that."
"I do try." Damien smiled. "How long do you think you'll stay?"
"I could probably stop whenever," Rose admitted. "I'm working on a project that'll take a few days anyways, so I can stop for the day whenever."
"Alright. Well, whenever you want." Damien leaned down and kissed her cheek. "I can talk to Taylor, too, if you want."
Rose nodded.
"Sure," she said. "The house is too empty right now without Sera." |
Damien nodded and texted Taylor.
Would you mind staying with Rose tonight? You two can hang out and watch movies and play with small fuzzy things. |
Sure. Not a bad idea. Taylor couldn't help but grin a bit. Not going to try to keep it together tonight and stay with your girl?
I was thinking about it, but I think I really need to go hunting tonight. Damien shook his head.
"Taylor said he'd be happy to keep you company tonight." |
And it's a bad idea to make you miss out on hunting so you get twitchy.
"Alright, thanks," Rose said. Leaning up, she gave him a quick kiss. "Have fun on your run tonight." |
Exactly.
"Thanks." Damien smiled. "I'll leave a bit after sunset, probably." |
"Alright," Rose said. She was used to him leaving for his runs, now, so she didn't mind. She smiled a bit. "I'll likely be asleep by the time you get back."
"I should hope so," Damien said, grinning. "Well, we can head home whenever, and I'll cook before I go so you two don't have to forage."
"Let me log out here, then, and make sure everything is in order. I can be ready in ten minutes." Rose grinned and started tapping at her keyboard, locking everything up so nobody else could make changes until she could get back to it. Once she was ready, she shut down her computer and got up.
Damien was waiting patiently for her by the door, having moved so he wouldn't be hovering over her.
"I assume you drove yourself." |
"Yeah," Rose said, nodding. She pulled her keys out of her pocket. "So I'll meet you there?"
"See you there," Damien agreed, kissing her briefly before he headed back to his car.
Rose returned the kiss and headed to her own car, getting in and heading home.
Damien started cooking once they got back so there would be food available for the two when he left. He figured Taylor would come over after he got kicked out of the hospital.
