Sera nodded her understanding, locking up the car and opening the front door. "Head up to bed."

"See ya." Damien waved to him, heading back to his car.

"I'm guessing you're going to be up for a while?" Rose asked as she followed Sera inside.

Taylor waved back and then went to lock up his office for the night. It was quiet, now that the tours were done with, but that was alright with him. Sometimes a quiet night was good.

"For a little bit, yeah," Sera said with a little grin. "I'll take care of everyone, don't worry." She headed into the kitchen to get food for various animals.

Damien stopped by the cat enclosures on his way out and said good night to all of them before he made his way back to his car so he could go home.

"Who said anything about worrying?" Rose replied. "I know my cat is spoiled absolutely rotten, and she takes great joy in reminding me every chance she gets. Now it's your turn."

The trip back home was relatively short for Taylor. He couldn't stop thinking about Sera, no matter what he tried to distract himself with.

Sera laughed a little. "Oh she reminds me too," she said, shaking her head a little as she got out the cat's food. "Go collapse now."

Damien got home and flopped down on the couch to watch a movie or two before bed, taking out his ball python and letting it curl around him. His eyes unfocused as he thought of Rose.

"Collapsing," Rose said obediently. She went into her room and did in fact just fall onto the bed. It took her a moment to gather the energy to actually change and then get back into bed. She was normally a night person, but somehow, she was just exhausted. She didn't notice as her thoughts drifted back to Damien as she fell asleep.

Sera fed all the animals and then went to bed herself.

Two days later she'd convinced Rose to come with her to the zoo again. It was the weekend, so the zoo would be more busy, but she wanted to go, since they never got to finish their tour the other night. "You ready to go?" she called to her friend, putting out more food for the cat and checking on her rats and bunny.

"Just about," Rose called back. She was digging under her bed, looking for her other shoe. "Aha!" she sat up, holding her shoe triumphantly. She put it on, and then grabbed her bag. "Now I'm ready."

Sera went out to the car and started it, setting her bag down between her feet on the floor. "This is going to be a great year," she said to herself with a grin.

"Why, because you get to see your hot vet whenever you like?" Rose teased as she got into the car as well.

Sera scoffed. "Hardly. We're more likely to see that handsome keeper you were talking to."

"Not that you don't want to see that vet," Rose teased. "Don't lie to me, I've known you too long for that."

"I never said I didn't," Sera tossed back with a grin. "Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky."

"We'll see," Rose agreed. She couldn't say she wasn't looking forward to making her way to the big cat enclosures again.

Sera parked and made her way to the entrance of the zoo, holding her pass. She wanted to see if she could catch the tigers up and about again.

Rose got out of the car and followed Sera through the gates. She got a bit distracted as they walked by the panther enclosure, though, and ended up stopping and watching the panther for a while. She would catch up to Sera later.

Sera moved back over to the tiger cage, looking around to see if they were up.

Damien spotted Rose over by the panther cage and finished up with the lions, heading over to the panther cage. "Hi again."

Rose jumped a little, and couldn't help but blush when she saw him.

"Hello again," she replied. She almost asked how he knew she was there, but figured it was just coincidence.

"Having fun?" Damien smiled a little, looking at the panther again.

"Just got here, actually," Rose replied. "I think I was here for a grand total of a minute and a half before you stumbled across me."

Damien laughed quietly. "Well, good thing I was coming to check on my boy," he said, grinning at her briefly.

Rose couldn't help but blush a bit when he grinned at her.

"Sera and I were walking by and I got a bit distracted," she said. "I kind of... stopped. And she didn't."

"She seems like the type that doesn't stop," Damien said with a little grin. "She does what she wants." He looked over at the panther again.

"Yeah, she's like that," Rose replied. "It's alright, though. That's just how she is." She looked into the cage at the panther as well, a bit wistful.

"Well, would you like to get closer today?" Damien smiled a little as he looked over at her. "You'll still be safe, I promise. But you can get closer than this."
