Rose took his hand and let him help her up.

"What about this weekend?" she suggested.

Taylor nodded and paid for his own lunch before getting up and going with her.

"This weekend is good with me," Damien said with a little smile. "What did you want to do? Anything in particular spring to mind?"

Sera went back over to his car quietly, already planning out things she could do to keep herself busy and distracted.

"Nothing in particular," Rose replied.

Taylor walked with her.

"I might head down to the cat enclosures a little later, if you want to join me," he offered. "Get you out of the office and all that."

Damien nodded. "Alright. I'll come up with something then, as long as that's fine with you."

"Sounds good," Sera agreed. "We can see how the lioness is coming along while we're out."

"It's alright with me," Rose replied as they went out to his car.

"Sure," Taylor said. "I'm sure if you have any questions about the cats individually, Damien can answer them."

Damien smiled and nodded, already starting to think about what they could do that weekend. As long as nothing got in the way, anyway.

Sera nodded and started out the window, just letting her mind wander.

Rose settled into the car, and the ride back was fairly quiet. It wasn't a bad silence, though.

The trip back to the zoo was pretty short, since they hadn't gone all that far to begin with. It didn't take long for Taylor to find a parking spot and kill the engine.

Damien smiled at her. "Do you have to go straight back or would you like to go see the cats first?"

Sera stayed there for a moment before she got out. "Well, guess we can go get the cats area and see what we can get done there."

"I should probably go straight back," Rose said reluctantly. "I still have things I need to get done, and I know the others are going to start speculating on where I've been..."

Taylor nodded.

"Sounds like a plan to me," he said.

Damien nodded. "Maybe tomorrow, then," he agreed, walking her back inside after he'd parked. "They'll still be around."

Sera nodded and went in the employee's entrance, heading towards the cat area. She unconsciously slowed her pace just a bit to match Taylor's.

"Tomorrow, then," Rose agreed.

Taylor walked with Sera towards the cat enclosures. He wasn't sure if Damien was back from lunch yet, but he figured he'd be back soon enough if he wasn't.

Damien walked with her over towards the back, then stopped a little ways away from the research center. "Well, feel free to text me if you get bored," he said with a little smile.

Sera didn't see Damien anywhere around so she just watched the cats. Most of them were lounging around, being lazy.

Rose nodded.

"I will," she promised.

Taylor went to take a look around for a moment, leaving Sera to watch the cats as long as she liked.

Damien smiled and brought her hand to his lips, kissing the back of it before letting go and leaving quietly. Let her mull over that one for a bit.

Sera continued to watch the cats, amusing herself by making dialogue for the two lions, since the male was lounging around while the female swatted at him.

Rose blushed brightly and watched him leave. Then she came back to her senses and went into the research building.

Taylor saw Damien as he was coming back.

"Well, you're in a good mood," he commented.

"I have a date with Rose this weekend," he said with a little grin. Then he noticed Sera. "You talked to her yet?"

"I tried," Taylor replied. He glanced at Sera. "She's been practically asleep on her feet all day. I was actually going to ask what you thought... Apparently, she's been having nightmares, and I think it might be something messing with her head."

Damien nodded. "Even if someone has nightmares all night, they're not normally that tired. They still get sleep, they still function just fine. Something has to be feeding off her or something." He paused a moment.

"Hey, Sera! Do me a favor and go play with the fishing cats. They like to have a ball tossed around for them. I swear they play fetch." Unhooking his key chain, he tossed it to Sera. "The keys are all labeled, and their ball is in the back."

"That's what I thought was happening," Taylor agreed. He watched as Sera took the keys and wandered off. "I offered to see if I could stop the nightmares, but she refused."

"Of course she did. You haven't groveled nearly enough, my friend." Damien clapped his shoulder. "She is the type to hold a grudge. You have to go all out with her." He glanced over when he saw the fishing cats playing fetch with her. "See? That's not a bad idea. She likes small furry creatures. And as long as she doesn't go wandering off to do something stupid she'll be fine."

"Not like Rose," Taylor replied dryly. "Some flowers, a few romantic words, and she's already forgiven you." He looked over to where Sera was. "No offense, but Sera holds grudges like a cat."

"None taken," Damien said with a grin. "And because she holds a grudge that well, you just need to work that much harder." He grinned broadly. "She'll forgive you eventually."

Taylor sighed.

"How did you really get Rose to forgive you?" he asked. "It couldn't have been that simple."

"Well, I left roses on her doorstep for her," Damien said. "She ended up texting me, and I called her to tell her one of our creation stories. Then we just started talking again." He shrugged.

"Storytelling, wonderful," Taylor muttered. If only it was that simple with Sera.
