Damien shrugged. "Whichever you prefer. I'd be happy to stay here, but I also have things I can do at home."
"It's up to you," Rose replied. "I'm sure you have better things you could be doing than sitting around my place all day..."
Damien shrugged. "Not really, if it keeps you safe."
"I think I'll be alright for now," Rose replied. Really, one would think that she would be safe in her own home. After a moment, she added, "but I'll call you if anything happens."
"Alright." Damien smiled a little. "Good. I'll see you later, then."
"Alright," Rose replied. Turning, she went to head inside.
Damien watched her go inside before he left, heading back to his house.
Sera looked up at Rose as she entered. "Hey you." |
"Hey," Rose replied. "I'm going to take a wild guess and assume you met my new pet?"
"Yeah, I met her. She also met my hamster." Sera looked rather amused. "She chased the hamster in the ball around the living room when I accidentally let her out."
"Poor hamster," Rose said, grinning. "Terrorized by the kitten already. Where is she now? Back up in my room?"
"Yeah, she's back in your room. And the hamster didn't seem to notice the kitten following it around." Sera grinned.
Rose rolled her eyes.
"Stupid little rat," she teased. "Anyways, I'm going to head upstairs, I really want a shower and clothes that aren't slept-in." |
Sera laughed. "Have fun with that. I'll be hanging around."
"Alright," Rose said. Turning, she went upstairs. A while later, she came back down in fresh clothes and wet hair, with the new kitten trying to squirm out of her grip.
"Apparently, this one thinks it's funny to attack socks with feet in them," she said. |
"Oh, just wait until she sees socks with blankets over them," Sera said with a big grin. "I bet she'll love those."
"Don't give her ideas," Rose retorted teasingly. The kitten had already caught sight of Rose's hair and was trying to catch one of the damp locks. Rose gently set the kitten on the floor and let her go do what she wanted.
Sera laughed quietly and returned to lounging. "That one doesn't look like she needs any ideas."
"I'm not sure how I was convinced to get an evil little monster, but I guess the cute-factor makes up for it," Rose said as she sat down and tucked her feet under her to get them out of range of little kitten-claws.
Sera laughed again but just stayed where she was, a book propped up on her stomach. "All kittens are cute little monsters. It just depends on their level of monstrosity."
Rose watched the kitten try to play with the older cat, without success. Finally, the older cat got fed up and batted the kitten away, nearly rolling the little thing off her feet.
Sera just laughed as she watched the two, shaking her head. "Ah, kittens. Gotta love 'em."
"She'll learn not to bother Lana," Rose said. "Lana's in one of her bitchfits right now, I think she's annoyed with me."
"Gee, I wonder why?" Sera snorted, very amused.
Rose rolled her eyes.
"Changing the subject now, how was your evening?" she said. |
"Pretty good. We got dinner and then came back here and watched the hamster crash into things in its hamster ball. Then he went home and I went to bed." Sera shrugged. "What about you?"
