"I wouldn't mind that," Rose replied. She wasn't all that fond of making a fool of herself, so she was more comfortable staying on the sidelines.
"In that case," Taylor said, offering his arm, "how about we head out to the dance floor, then?" |
Damien chuckled. "I can dance, kind of, but I don't like to. Not in public." He led them over to a table and sat down with her.
Sera smiled and took of his arm, going out to the dance floor, starting to dance with him. |
"I don't like to, either," Rose replied as she sat down with him.
Taylor went out and danced with Sera, but was discretely siphoning energy from the other people around him. That was the real reason he suggested the club, rather than a movie or something. He was incredibly careful not to take any from Sera, though. |
Damien nodded and relaxed back in his seat. "Hopefully you like the music."
Sera continued dancing with him, just relaxing and having fun for the time being. |
"It's fine with me," Rose replied. She glanced out over the dance floor. "Looks like they're already having fun."
"That doesn't surprise me." Damien shrugged. "Taylor's probably relieved."
"Really?" Rose asked. "Well, he does seem to be back on Sera's good side for the moment..."
Damien snorted. "Until she finds out he's been bending the rules again." He shook his head, amused and exasperated.
"Then let's hope he's not dumb enough to tell her," Rose replied. She knew what Damien meant, and she wasn't about to say anything to Sera at all.
Damien chuckled. "Yeah, let's hope he's smart for once." Shaking his head, he watched the two dance.
"Sera might catch on anyways," Rose mused. "If she does, I can try to talk to her. She holds grudges entirely too long."
Damien snickered. "Yeah, she does." He shook his head, amused.
"You don't have to live with her," Rose pointed out, grinning a bit.
"No, I don't, but I do have to deal with Taylor being all mopey when she's pissed at him." Damien rolled his eyes.
"He must really have it bad for her, then," Rose said. "That's okay, she does, too, she just won't admit it yet."
Damien snickered and nodded. "Yeah. It's fun to tease them, though."
Rose grinned and nodded.
"Yeah," she said. |
"You want anything to drink? They have virgin drinks too. Not bad ones at that." Damien smiled a little.
"I'm alright, for now," Rose replied. "Thanks, though. I'll let you know if I change my mind."
Damien nodded and then paused as he saw someone winding towards Taylor and Sera. The other man stood above most everyone else at about 6'7", with wavy black hair and electric blue eyes, along with olive-toned skin. "Oh, crap."
"What is it?" Rose asked.
Taylor noticed the newcomer as well, and subtly moved a bit closer to Sera. |
"Bad news." Damien frowned as he watched the man move over to Taylor and Sera.
Sera blinked when she noticed the newcomer, who moved over to her. "I don't think I've seen you here before," he said, his eyes on Sera. "Um, no. First time here." Sera blinked a few times. |
"I brought her with me," Taylor said, staying where he could keep Sera in his sight. He didn't like how the newcomer was looking at her.
He glanced at Taylor, his eyebrows raising just a little. "Well, I think I'd like to steal her for a dance."
Sera's eyes widened just a little as he moved closer to her, starting to hum as he spun her around. She blinked, still surprised. |
The newcomer stole Sera away before Taylor could properly react, and there was no way to get her back at the moment. Thankfully, the song changed about thirty seconds later, so he was able to cut back in.
"I think I'll steal her back, now," he replied. |
