"Be come desensitize to it?" Adam wondered about doing that. "Those I doubt I could ever think your sing was not wonderful. Those that dose sound a little sad to think if I did be come." He sighed. "Well ok I guess we can't do that because I love your singing and don't want to change disliking even if for that. Unless you want that then I'll let you desensitize me then. But its up to you." Adam looked to Lean.

Léan sighed, and then shook his head. "No...no..." he murmured, apologetically. "I won't force you to become desensitized to it. I'll just try not to, from now on..."
He seemed to be a little worn out. |
He looked softly to Lean then stood up and walked over to him. "Shall I get the new leaf and pulled you in to our home for now?" Adam smiled happily to him. "I'm glad you won't try to make me like that. I love your singing its wonderful so don't worry about singing to much because I like it."

Léan nodded, giving him a small smile--it faded quickly. "Sure. And I hope I won't sing...honestly, until we have everything worked out, I'd rather not have any more awkward situations come about." And it was true...

"Your right...." He sighed then walked slowly to go get the new leaf from inside the house. Once inside he picked it up and sighed. How would he control him self he like hearing the music but he made Lean so comfortble when he acted on the emotions the song bought out in him. Adam had to think of some thing so this won't happen again. He walked back with the leaf slowly. "I got it" He place it on the ground. "Lets go inside before its become to dark."

Léan shuffled himself up onto the leaf, curling up. He was so ready to get some rest. For him, it had been a semi-long day even though they had not done too much. He hadn't slept well the previous night and was looking forward to getting some restful sleep tonight.

Adam dragged the leaf with Lean back in to the house and enter the house slowly. Once inside Adam smiled. "I'll be back in a little I to go do some thing I'll be back soon sleep well." He said as he moved to toss more wood on to the fire. Adam need to get more wood, go to the rest room, pick some of the bannanas he saw and think up a way to keep from hearing the song. He wanted to make Lean happy and well by making him fear singing was not helping things.

Léan slid into his water-hole at once, and curled up. "All right...be careful..." he murmured, already starting to doze off. All he wanted to do was rest, right now. He was starting on a bad headache and didn't want it to get any worse. Hopefully, sleep would be able to cure that.

Adam slip out of the door and tie it shut so wild animals would not get it. Then Adam more more around the island he found a place to go to the rest room then decide to make a sled out of the logs and leafs he found. This would make dragging wood around easier and also make pulling Lean from the shore easier. Adam went to work building it once done he loaded it woth the wood but stop at a bannana tree to eat. There where lots on it but he was unsure how long they would last if he ate them ever day. He was glad those this would mean he could eat a little more then once maybe twice aday without making Lean hunt for him. |
While Adam worked, Léan was quickly drifting off. He was asleep in less than ten minutes--lightly, not deeply, asleep. As a result, he twitched, tossed, and turned in his sleep. This, of course prompted him to sing. It was not loud...so it could only be heard very close by or inside the house. And it was just one single note this time.

Adam was far enough a way he did not hear the singing. Those he remeber what Lean had said there were wild cats on this island which meant there was fresh water some where on the island. Adam drop the wodd off close to the house with the sled then head in to the island looking for the fresh water. He saw some animals drinking for a spring near the center of the island and move closer to it. Adam tasted the water and smiled it was fresh. He decide to drink some then strip down for a bath and to wash his swiming shorts.

Léan suddenly became wary about ten minutes or so after falling asleep. He was startled out of sleeping, and the singing abruptly came to a halt. He lifted his head, wearily, from where he had it resting. He could hear a boat in the distance...very far away. The hearing of a merperson was very much magnified compared to a human's.
The boat would not be able to see Adam, if he were to shout for help. It wasn't even visible from the island. But with his advanced sense of hearing, Léan could hear it. Merpeople did not like boats. Naturally, he was on-edge. |
Adam washed up and drank a lot of water then headed back to the house in a shorted made out of leaves. He took his swim short and held them. He un tied the door quickly then pulled the sled over. He had not open the door yet. He open it up and pulled the sled in. He did not want to wake Lean little did he know Lean was up.

Léan had relaxed by this point, but was still awake. The sounds of the boat had faded away, and he was able to relax again. Boats made him uneasy.

Adam hug is short up then un stacked the wood and toss a few more on to it. He hug the bannanas he pick up to piping for later. Adam looked over to Lean and smiled. Then whisper. "Are you awake?"

"Yes..." Léan replied, his voice a low, weary sort of grunt. He was tired and wanted to get back to sleep...he would do so in a few minutes, but hadn't quite gotten there, yet.

He tied the doro shut and smiled. Adam laid down in to his bed and looked over to Lean. "I found fresh water on the island more near the center."

"I see." Léan shifted where he laid, trying to get more comfortable. All he wanted to do, really, was rest...if he tried to do anything else, he feared, he might unintentionally injure himself.

"Good night Lean just wanted to tell you that." Adam smiled looking over to Lean as he stuff some fuffy looking white stuff in his ear. He hope this would muffle the sound of the song if Lean started to sing again. He cuddled in to his towel and smiled he could bearily hear things around him now and tried to fell asleep now. |

Léan had fallen asleep just moments after Adam had spoken. Thankfully, he didn't start singing. Not yet, anyway...his body was too focused on making him sleep to allow him to sing. |
Adam was happily asleep cuddled in to his warm towel and leaf blankets. He held tightly to his leaf pillow and started to dream about home. He missed his mother cooking and just wanted to be home.

Léan had no home to dream about. Being nomadic, he really had nowhere to go if he wanted to feel safe. Because of this, he didn't really understand how Adam so desperately missed home. It was something he wouldn't be able to understand, not for a long, long time.

Adam peaceful dream turn in to a nightmare hours later the sun had long set and the stars were out. It was deep in to night when he woke shaking with fear."Come Back.... I'm right here..... no...." He mutter out not really loudly but he was tossing a turning. He thought he would never see his home again and that his parents would never know what really happened to him. He pulled his legs up to his chest and pulled his blankets around him and cried softly to him self.

Léan blinked, stirring out of sleep when he heard Adam speak. He reached over, absently, and shoved his shoulder gently, to wake him out of any trance he could have been in.
"You're safe," he muttered, pointedly. "Go back to sleep." |
Adam open his eyes to look over to Lean and rub his eyes. He didn't hear what Lean had said but he felt his touch and removed the fuff from his ears. He shiffled a littled trying not to cry. "I'm sorry.... it was just a bad dream..." He laid back down holding the fuff in his hands just incase Lean talk some more. He was still shaking but not so much crying now. Those his cheeks were still wet.
