"...Perhaps there is a way to get me a map?" Léan asked, hopefully. Now that Adam could swim rather well...it wouldn't be too hard for him to find a map on land, detail the correct route, wrap it in some kind of deterrent, like plastic, to make it waterproof, and swim out to sea to deliver it to Léan. He would be able to rest with the merman's help and then easily make it back to land...
"I guess I could if I could get to shore but I may not be aloud back to the water they may just load me up and send me home..." He sighed. "But I will get the message to you some how."

((Kay.))
Léan nodded, a smile on his face. He still did not want to get very close to land, not here anyway. It was much easier to stay concealed in the Atlantic Ocean--the Atlantic waters were dark and it was difficult to see what was underwater. The waters of the Pacific, however, were clear and blue. It was easy to see underwater, even at night. He stayed by Adam's side, monitoring his condition closely while they swam. |
Adam was finally tried and moved closer to Lean. "I can't go any farer. Think you can take me back I feel like I will pass out if I keep going to day."
Léan dipped underneath Adam and hoisted him up onto his back. He turned and began to take him back to shore--the island was just barely visible from where they were.
Adam softly held on to Lean and smiled. "Thanks" Adam relaxed as Lean was swimming. "I think I like ridieng on your back."
Léan chuckled softly. He was a rapid swimmer--they were almost back at the island. "Once we get back, you head inside and rest. I will hunt and search for kelp while you do so."
"Ok I will "He hugged Lean and smiled as he watched the shore getting closer and closer. "I almost don't want to because I like how close we are now." He meat to say that in his head but said it out loud.
Léan's swimming suddenly slowed to a gradual stop. As it did, he glanced back over his shoulder at Adam and raised a single eyebrow. "Really, now?"
"Huh what..." He didn't realized he said it out loud until then. His face turn a deep red as he blushed. "Ummm... yeah......"
Léan was still for a moment longer before he spoke again, glancing back with an amused look on his face. "If you wanted to be closer, all you had to was ask," he said, simply. "If you want something, just tell me what you want...there is a chance I might not refuse, after all."
Adam blushed a little more. "Really... could we stay like this a little longer then???"
"I suppose so." Léan swam around near the shoreline of their small island. Once he got around to the back of the island, there was a very visible coral reef beneath the water where they were swimming. He did not particularly care for the reefs, since they were over-crowded.
"Thanks...." He was very happy to be able to stay so close to Lean and when he saw the coral he smiled. "Wow this is soo pretty and look at all the fish around it."
Léan wrinkled his nose a bit. "Nice to look at, yes...but difficult to live in. I have tried...it's very crowded and noisy. Difficult to sleep at night, as well..."
"Really? I would nto have guess that. I just like the view." He hugged Lean a bit then yawned. "I guess we should go back to our side of the island. But I can nto wait for you to return after you get the fish for food" Adam rested his head agiest Lean back happily.
"I don't have to go right away, if you don't want me to," Léan offered, quietly, as he maneuvered his way back around to their side of the island. He was hungry, but he wasn't super-hungry just yet...
"Really you'll stay with me a little while longer. That make me happy." Adam smiled.
Léan came to a slow stop in the shallows near the shore and gingerly let Adam down. He wouldn't have minded going on land for a while, and he also wouldn't have minded resting in the water with Adam either.
Adam was able to touch the sand under the water now and looked to Lean softly. He smiled he like seeing Lean next to him. "This is nice being like this. "Adam moved to sat on the shore with the waves moving over his lap. He looke dup at the sky then blink a storm was coming even Lean could feel it but it was a few hour out.
Léan knew there was a storm coming. He didn't mind storms, so long as they weren't hurricane-worthy like the one that had swept Adam out to sea had been. He sat in shallows next to Adam, not minding being close to him if it made him happy.
He looked to the sky geting neveous. "It looks like a bad storm... right? " he then looked to the hut. "Do you think the hut will be able to make it thur the storm?"
"It doesn't look too bad. The only factor that will be worrying, from what I can see, is the torrential rain. You might want to reinforce it a little bit," Léan suggested, regarding the sky with somber eyes.
"so I should get more leafs to keep the water out?" Adam said. "How how until it hit to you know?"
"I would say that you have about three hours or so," Léan surmised, glancing upwards at the sky again. "More leaves would work. The roof certainly needs to be reinforced so there isn't any leaking."
