Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizarding
Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry It's the same, famous school that Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter went to, but many things have changed. A long time has pastsince then. Lily Potter and her friends have graduated and gone on to be a bigger part of the Wizarding Community, and now theschool is facing the delemia (sp?) of being closed. People say it's too dangerous for their children to learn at Hogwarts withwerewolves and dementors. Not to mention that students get hurt more often than Harry and his friends got sent to theinfirmary. Will the school be closed forever or can it be saved? http://girlstalkinsmack.com/wp-conte...ogwarts03b.jpg The school is a giant castle with a Quidditch field, a dark forest, and a whipping willowtree. Ghosts walk the halls, and picturesmove and interact with the students. There are many secret corridors and hidden rooms. What more could someone ask from a magical school. Rules: 1. PM profile to me to be accepted. 2. 3 charries per person max. 3. We need students and professors. 4. Mene rules apply, of course. 5. Send PM as "Phlegm" 6. I can add more rules later. 7. Be as literate as you can be. Full sentences, punctuations, correct grammar and spelling. Your posts should look as if you were writing a story. No one-liners. We all make mistakes and get writers block. It's acceptable occassionally. 8. If you do not follow the rules, you'll get a warning. After three warnings, you will be kicked out, and your character deleted. 9. No fighting among roleplayers in OOC. 10. Roleplay is strictly PG-13. No taking it to the PMs or what not. (We will start once we get a few more professors.)
|
(Everyone can start posting tomorrow.)
|
(How would you like us to start? Everyone getting their characters to Hogwarts, or would you like our characters already there for the first night, and feast of school?"
|
(Everyone is arriving at the diner hall and getting ready for the sorting of first years.)
|
(Okay, I'll start :) )
"I hope we get some good Slytherins this year." Kimmi chirped as she pulled Kyle towards their table, and they both sat down in their seats. "We better." Kyle, said, not really paying attention. Getting to school every year was such a pain, because they had to fly from their summer house in Japan back to England to catch The Hogwarts Express. They both still had slight jet lag and couldn't wait to get the sorting done with so they could sleep. (That's good enough, right?) |
(yeah, that's good.)
The headmaster sat in his seat as the students piled into the dining hall. He knew that shortly after all of them were seated, the first years would arrive and step forward to be sorted among the four houses. He remembered the days when he was student at Hogwarts. The first year, the sorting hat announced him as a Ravenclaw. He really didn't care which house he was put into. He was just glad that he knew the reason for why he was different from the other kids. Takayumi walked into the dining hall with her head held high. She was a Slytherin who wanted to be a Gryffindor which was very rare. She didn't believe in the Slytherin way and clearly showed it. She looked up at the ceiling as she walked along the table and sat down across from the twins. The ceiling was adorned with floating candles and mirrored the night sky outside. The tables were covered with white tableclothes and had centered pieces spread about evenly. It was like a fairy tale if you never seen the place before. She sighed as she waited for the annual sorting to begin. |
Nikke made her way to the Gryffindor table, glad to be back at Hogwarts. Summers with her father were always a pain. He always wanted her to make up for missing out on muggle activities over the summer. There was something very boring about soccer after playing quidditch, but he was deaf to her protests. He claimed it was a way to keep in contact with her muggle friends over the summer. He refused to let her visit her Hogwarts friends. Taking her seat, she looked up at the front, waiting patiently for the sorting. It had lost its novelty after the first few years, she was just hungry, ready for the feast.

Lexi stood anxiously in the small room with the rest of the first years next to Danny. She drew comfort from his presence, like she had nearly all her life. She and the rest of the first year students were waiting to be called out for the Sorting, some more calmly than others. "What House do you think I'll be in?" she essentially whispered to Danny. "I hope that we're at least in the same House."
Holly walked into the dining hall and sat down in her usual spot. She quickly scanned the Hufflepuff table for her friend Hayden, scowling at a couple Slytherins that she recognized as being worse than usual. When she spotted Hayden, she waved, smiling, before looking up and down her table for her other friends. She was in an unusually good mood; she always loved the Sorting, and couldn't wait for it to start. David Myers, or Professor Myers to his students leaned back in his chair sighing. One of the other teachers was trying to tell him an uninteresting story, like usual. He nodded when appropriate, not really listening. All he wanted to do was get to know his new students and then head to bed, but he probably wouldn't get away from his duties until midnight or later. He looked over at the Headmaster, mentally urging him to commence the Sorting. |
Danny stood in the small room next to Lexi, trying to maintain calm, at least for her sake. "You'll probably be in Ravenclaw, Lexi," Danny replied assuringly. "I might join you, but I'm not to sure. I hope we're in the same house too, but I wouldn't get your hopes up." He rested an arm around her shoulders, attempting to be reassuring, and continued waiting for the Sorting to begin.
Tyler sat leaned over the table, opposite of the Gryffindor head, David. He was scanning the Slytherin table, picking out students he remembered. He did hope that Sytherin House got more kids; it got quite boring messing with the older kids. Sighing, he leaned back, closing his eyes, and plotting the perfect tricks to use on the first-years. |
Hayden saw Holly wave and responded likewise with an equally cheerful grin. He too enjoyed the Sorting and couldn't wait to see how many newbies would be in his house. While it was true that Hufflepuff wasn't the favored House, he didn't mind being in it, though he did wish that Holly was in his House. But, of course, then they couldn't both be Seekers for the House team if they were in the same House, and they enjoyed the competition of going up against each other. He fiddled his thumbs while he waited for the Sorting to begin.

Professor Martel looked at each first year. Some were excited, others nervous. He stood up and looked around the dining room as everyone quieted down. "Welcome back students, and welcome newcomers. We have a few rules here at Hogwarts. No one is permitted in the Dark Forest. It is strictly forbidden. No student is to be caught wandering around in the halls after curfew. The act will result in detention. Once you leave Hogwarts at the end of every school year, you are not to use magic until you come of age." He paused to make sure that every first year was listening. "Each house will earn and lose points throughout the year. At the end of the year, the house with the most points wins." He turned toward the professor who was holding the sorting. "May the sorting begin," he said just before he sat down.
Takayumi looked up at Professor Martel. She was about to hear the same thing she heard for the past so many years. Not many knew why the Dark Forest was forbidden. It seemed eery from the outside, but there couldn't have really been anything dangerous in there, except maybe a few students snoggng each other. She sat straight up to watch the sorting. She hoped they got a lot of new first years. |
"Finally, the sorting begins." Kimmi whispered, searching through the crowd of first-years for a familiar face. Kyle whispered back, "I don't see why the old man warns us about the Dark Forest each year, I mean, It's just a forest, right?" "Yeah,sure...but look, the sorting's beginning!" She pointed to the sorting hat everyone had to wear at least once and quieted down.

Professor Irving Gendel sat down at the teachers table a few seats down from the head master. Gendel sat with his elbow on the table and his head in his hand. He watched the students, curious as to what this year at Hogwarts would hold. Professor Gendel made careful note of Danny and a first year both sitting at the Ravenclaw table. He would be sure to keep an eye on all his Ravenclaws this year for the headmaster had finally allowed him to be the head of that particular house. The Professor sat up straight in his chair as the sorting began.
Luise Gerula was sitting on the opposite side of the table of Gendel. She clapped her hands happily after the headmasters speech. She quieted down as the lights dimmed slightly and the first years lined up in the center aisle waiting to be called for sorting. Johnny sat quietly at the Hufflepuff table. He watched Holly and Hayden wave to each other. he smiled slightly before looking at the center aisle, and then up at the sorting hat, which was placed upon a stool. He wondered if there was going to be any Hufflepuffs this year. |
((No offense Jack, but Danny and Lexi are both first years, so they aren't sitting at the table. Thay haven't been Sorted yet.:p))
Lexi's anxiety increased even more as the Headmaster called the Sorting to a start, though Danny's arm over her shoulders did help a little. She would be roughly in the middle, and Danny would be towards the beginning, as long as they went in alphabetical order of course. She waited, fidgeting, while the very first students were called out to their new Houses by the strange talking hat. Holly was too busy watching the Sorting to notice much of anything else. Each new kid to join Gryffindor or Hufflepuff sent joy running through her body. She clapped loudly and cheered as another student((an NPC)) joined their table, and continued to watch entranced. David sat in much the same position as before, silently thanking the Headmaster for saving him from that boring story. He could see Holly, personally one of his favorite students, clapping and cheering as new kids joined the Gryffindor table. The infectious cheer was beginning to get to him, and he couldn't help but grin joyfully. |
(I'll post but I won't be on very long since it's my b-day and we're going out to eat soon)
Ana was already sitting at the Gryffindor table not too far away from some kids talking about pulling pranks during this year since it was their second year there. Ana was glad it was her sixth year (If I am correct with age wise) Looking up she noticed the sorting of the new years. This will be interesting in the beginning with how the other kids will treat the new ones. Pushing her blonde long bangs out her face, she watched the sorting but then got bored with it after a moment and went back to reading. |
"Smiles at The new Gryiffindor " hello Ana!Im Alexander Mishima but you can call me Alex"looks at the sorting and glances at th slythierin table With a Wicked grin on my face "Seems like were getting more Students in gryiffindor then the slytherins this year......Cool!"

(Andraus, quotations do not belong around actions. Your post is supposed to be written as if it were a story.
Kai_, that's funny. My birthday was yesterday.) Professor Martel smiled as each student got sorted. There was so much excitement in the air. The first years were nervous of which house they would get in, the other students were anxious to see who would be joining their house. It was as if there was a Quidditch match between the rivaled Slytherins and Gryffindor. Soon, everyone would have been sorted. Takayumi smiled everytime someone was sorted into the Gryffindor house. They were lucky. They didn't have to deal with this pureblood thing like she did everyday. It was tiring. Everyone of them thought they should rule over all the others: the halfbloods, mudbloods, and squibs. Rarely, did you see a Slytherin become friends with anyone who wasn't. You were an outcast if you did.Good thing I don't care what people think, she thought to herself. |
((flame and kai: happy birthday to both of you!!!))
Nikke clapped politely as new students were sorted into Gryffindor, glad that they had a new crop of students. She waved over at Ana, another girl in her year. She grinned, noticing the girl reading. It was a smart plan for the sorting, it always seemed to take forever. She leaned against her arm on the table, her long blond curls falling in her face. Normally, she would moved them, but she closed her eyes, dozing until the sorting was over. |
Andraus: "Yea it does seem that way doesn't it, but even if they had more we'd probally still crush them" Ana spoke smiling towards the one whom had spoken to her and she closed her advanced healing potions book. Ana looked at the other girl and smiled waving a little, she wasn't the shy-est type girl but she wasn't your average party like girl either more of in between.
(flamethrower1391: Heh. it was? Well Happy Belated birthday then ^_^) (Eiiri: Thank you so much by the way) (And how come everyone calls me Kai instead of Kia? lol. XD) |
(Eiiri, thank you.
Kia_, thank you and Happy Birthday!!!) |
((Kia, because at least in my case, I apparently can't read...sorry))
|
(Don't worry about it lots of people do it alot)
|
(Kia&Flame: Happy Belated both of you! :D)
Kimmi scowled. Only a few of the students already sorted were in Slytherin, and the Slytherin first-years were acting as if they were the rulers of Hogwarts. As each year went by, the sorting got increasingly uninteresting. She turned to look at the Gryffindor table, and sure enough, their table was overflowing with first-years, like always. She turned back and was surprised to see that a family friend (An NPC) was now wearing the ugly sorting hat. She waited for the house to be called, and wasn't the least bit surprised that the girl got into Slytherin. As the girl walked to the table, Kimmi stood up and air-pecked each of her cheeks (a type of greeting), then motioned for her to sit next to them. Kimmi turned back to her brother. "Hey, Kyle." No answer. "Kyle?" Still no answer. She waved her hand across the front of his face and noticed that he was sleeping with his eyes opened. Kimmi rolled her eyes and muttered, "Only you can fall asleep like that." |
Lexi waited apprehensively as Danny took his turn at the Sorting hat. It was quite for just a few minutes before shouting, "Ravenclaw!" to the assembled students. Shortly afterwards, it was her turn to be Sorted. She shuffled towards the mystical hat, stumbling twice in her nervousness. Her cheeks were painted a fine crimson color from all the attention, something she never particularly cared for. She slowly lowered the hat onto her head, feeling sort of silly when it dropped down to cover her entire head and most of her neck, but that was what she got for being so unusually petite. She could feel that the hat was taking a longer time than usual to Sort her; roughly two and a half minutes. To stop from blushing worse, she went over facts and mental math problems that she made up to focus. She was startled and jumped when the hat said, "You're quite a smart one, aren't you? You'd do well in Ravenclaw for sure, but Slytherins also require a good bit of cunning, though I don't think you have the proper attitude to be a Slytherin. There's also a good bit of courage; you'd probably do well in Gryffindor. What do you think? Personally I'm leaning towards Ravenclaw."
"Yes, that would be great! My friend's in Ravenclaw," Lexi replied mentally, to which the hat shouted, "Ravenclaw!" Lexi responded by eagerly jumping off the stool and heading down to the Ravenclaw table, also admist the cheers of her fellow Housemates. |
