The king was passing by and saw this. "Isaac...you put vera down this instant!" he ordered. Vera passed out in his arms and the king saw this. "Put her down can't you see she's not feeling well?!" he said to Isaac and approached him angrily. "Vera needs to be in bed taking her medicine, but you are the reason she won't do as she is told, thus causing her to get worse!" he said to him.

Isaac was surprised by the king but when he heard him he stood straighter and looked at him. "sir I know very well that she is sick and I am taking her to her room." he said as he looked at the king and then started to head towards Vera's room. "and sir, she wanted to do this." he said before he got to Vera's room. He gently layed her down in the bed and wrapped the blankets around her. He then got the medicine and managed to get her to take it.

"I don't believe you, and if I find out you did anything to Vera I'll have you kiiled!" he called after him. Vera was slowly breathing and her heart was beating but faintly.

Isaac stayed close to her and quickly called for a doctor. He hoped that the doctor got there soon since he didn't want Vera to get any worse. She was the one kind person in his life tha he cared about more then anything else. If she where to dissappear from his life he wasn't sire what he would do. As he waited for the doctor he gently took veras hand into his and gently ran a thumb over her knuckles. "I am sorry Vera."

The doctor quickly came and went over to where Vera lay. "What seems to be the problem?" he asked Isacc as he took her pulse.

Isaac looked at hte doctor, "she is very sick and I am not sure if she is getting any better." he said and then looked at Vera and hoped that she was oky.

"Has she been eating right, and srinking a lot of water?" he asked. Then he started taking her temperature. "She has a very high fever...if it get's any higher she will have to go to the hospital until she gets better." he added and placed a wet rag on her forehead.

Isaac sighed, "she hasn't been eating that much and hadn't been getting a lot of rest." he said and then looked at hte doctor, "I will keep a better eye on her for now and get her to eat, drink, and rest." he said and looked at Vera. He would take care of her and make sure that she didn't have to go to the hospital.

The doctor nodded and smiled. "Okay then...I will be back tomorrow to check up on her if that's okay with you." he asked and looked over at Isaac as he gathered his things. "I can bring some medicine to if you wish." he added.

Isaac nodded, "I would like that." he said and looked back at vera. Worry continued to corse threw him and he knew that he was going to protect her better once she was well. He hated knoing that he was at fault fot his.

After a few hours, Vera started waking up and looked over at Isaac but said nothing. She was angry at him and her father for fighting all the time, especially about her.

Isaac wasn't awake when she woke up. He had fallen asleep next to her and was holding her hand tightly. He had been very worried and it had driven him to sleep. "vera.." he muttered in his sleep softly.

"I'm fine!" she muttered angrily and shook off his hand before crossing her arms over her chest.

Isaac woke up when he heard her and looked at her, "are you sure your fine?" he asked and you could see the worry in his eyes.

"I said I'm fine! So then I MUST be fine!" she spat and hopped of her bed and grabbed a dark blue dress that was somewhat revealing and showed off her body. She then ran off to the shower and took a long warm bath before coming out and leaving to the gardens.

Isaac frowned when he heard her and just watched her run off. He didn't mean to get her mad, he was just worried about her. When she got out of the shower he followed her to hte garden but stayed a few yards away. He said nothing to her and wondered what he coudl do to make it up to her.

Vera then began to feel dizzy and sat down on the soft grass and smelled the flowers before lying done and staring at the clouds. "Why do they always have to be fighting mother?" she asked aloud. "I mean...I do my best to make them both happy but it seems like it's not working...I wish they would just stop fighting and let me live my life the way I want to...." she muttered and sniffled.

Isaac frowned when she sat down and hoped that he was okay. He heard her and sighed slightly, he wasn't sure who she said was always fighting. He wondered if it was him and the king. He didn't know but he just wanted her to be happy and it seemed she wasn't. Slowly he dared to get closer to her, "is there any way I can make you happy? if it is living your life then I can take you away from here and you can live how ever you want, I just want you to be happy." he said as he looked at her. IN all truth that was what he wanted, he cared about her alot and just wanted her to be happy.

"What do YOU want?!" she asked and looked at the flowers around her and sighed. The doctor then came back and asked the king where Vera was at. "She should be in her room..." he said and they went to search for her. When they saw that she wasn't there, the king got worried and ordered for a guard to go bring her to her room. The guard nodded and headed out in search of Vera. Vera sighed. "I am living my life...I just wish you and father would be nicer to each other...I wish mother was still here to keep him happy. I don't think I make father happy like mother did..." she added quietly.

Isaac was surprised when he heard her and looked down at the ground. "what I want is for you to be happy. That is all I have ever wanted since I met you, I Want to see you smile and laugh and be happy. That is all I want." he said softly and then sighed slightly. "no one can make your father happy like your mother could, they loved each other deeply. But if it will make you happy I will be nicer to your father." he said as he looked at her.

"I would really like that Isaac...I'm sure father would like that too." she said but did not smile or look at him. "Lady Vera and Sir Isaac I must ask you both to come with me...the King and doctor would like to see you." said the guard once he found her. Vera nodded and stood up gracefully before following the guard back to her room where her father and the doctor stood. "Vera where were you?" asked the king. "You may go now." he said to the guard. The guard bowed slightly and left. "I was at the gardens..." she said. "How are you feeling?" asked the doctor as he took her temperature. "Much better really...I do get dizzy at times though." she answered. The doctor nodded and looked at the king. "She's better...just keep on giving her medicine, food, water, and rest. If she get's worse call me and I'll take her to the hospital until she gets better." he said. The king nodded and walked him to the front door. Vera straightened out her dress and sighed, obviously bored and still somewhat upset.

Isaac smiled when he heard her and was glad that was one thing that she would like. yet his smile fadded when he saw no smile on her face. He wanted to see that smile more then anything else. When the king came in he knew that he had been worried and stood out of the way. Once they were gone he walked over to vera and could tell she wanted to do something and still looked upset. He then got a idea and looked at Vera, "how would you like it if I took you out of here. I remember seeing a place out in the forest that you might like. I can carry you there." he said as he looked at her and hoped that she would like to go.

Vera listened to what he said and shrugged. "I suppose so...but I just hope we don't get in any trouble..." she said and looked over at him. No smile was on her face yet and she walked past him and went outside to the fresh air. "Well come on then...let's go!" she said and crossed her arms across her chest and looked over at him. She wanted to see just what it was that he was going to show her.

Isaac looked at her and smiled, "dont worry, we wont get in trouble." he said as he looked at her and wished that she would smile at him. He just hoped that this would make her happy, it was all he wanted. He then followed her as she headed outside and couldn't help but think that she looked cute in the sunlight. When he saw her face he knew that she was still unhappy. He then walked over to her, "I will need to carry you." he said as he looked at her and then picked her up into his arms like she was nothing. He then started to walk and once he got out the palace gates he headed north. They soon entered the forest and what seemed like hours passed. He then smiled as he got closer and looked down at her, "here we are, I hope you like it." he said as he took a few more steps. The forest then opened up to a feild of wild flowers with a stream running threw it.

Vera looked around at the field of flowers and stood there stunned in surprise. "How did you find this place Isaac?!" she asked him and smiled for the first time that day. Vera looked over at him and hugged him tightly as she waited for him to answer the question.
