I'm too stingy to pay for it xD;

FuzzyLumpkin 02-12-2011 04:51 PM

XD I get my annual subscription as a Christmas present conventiently. I'd probably be too stingy myself otherwise.

Disco~ 02-12-2011 05:09 PM

Ah, that's a pretty good plan actually xD

Keyori 02-12-2011 07:16 PM

Yeah, around Christmas is the best time to get them, that's usually when the plans are on sale for dirt cheap.

I'd have bought one but I'm moving away from my husband (and the xbox!) until November, so that kindof makes it a waste of money. xD

I'll probably get one when I get back though.

Disco~ 02-12-2011 09:00 PM

Bad times. A few of my friends have x-box live accounts, so if I want to go online I'll go round to their house, usually destroying their stats. xD

FuzzyLumpkin 02-12-2011 09:15 PM

Before I got my 360 I used to do that, a few of us would get together and pull all night gaming marathons. I think I might have destroyed my boyfriend's stats in a few games; although I was rather proud of myself on the occassion that his friend didn't realise that I'd taken over for him while playing Borderlands. :D

Disco~ 02-12-2011 09:23 PM

I love impersonating my friend, I'll play what I think is a brilliant game, thinking that I did the greatest job ever. Just to realize afterwards that I was completely destroyed by a blind person D;

FuzzyLumpkin 02-12-2011 09:33 PM

I thought I was doing well playing Halo 3 one gaming night until the headset was taken out of the gamepad and the audio started coming through the TV. Turns out I was involved in a game against two guys who were anything but sober. XD

Disco~ 02-12-2011 09:36 PM

Aw, bad times. Oh well, you can still count it as a personal achievement.

FuzzyLumpkin 02-12-2011 11:35 PM

Yeah, it's something haha.
I've imrpoved since then thankfully; for some reason it took me a while to get used to the 360's gamepad. Too many years of sony consoles most probably. Either that or the wii dimished my gaming skills over the few years I used it on a regular basis. :XD

Poor unloved hangout thread :c

I love it, I love it very much. D8

I just haven't been here. /cry

Disco~ 02-13-2011 10:23 AM

Friday was the first time I was online in absolute ages.

monstahh` 02-13-2011 03:22 PM

I wish I could do that...I just don't have anything better to do other than be online.

Disco~ 02-13-2011 03:23 PM

I didn't really have much choice. I was ill for the majority of that time. Glandular fever is a bitch and a half. D;

monstahh` 02-13-2011 03:31 PM

You mean mono? xD
THE KISSING DISEASE?

Disco~ 02-13-2011 03:33 PM

Oh is that what mono is? If so then yes. I HAD THE KISSING DISEASE xD;

monstahh` 02-13-2011 03:46 PM

Quote:

Infectious mononucleosis (IM; also known as EBV infectious mononucleosis or glandular fever or Pfeiffer's disease or Filatov's disease[1] and sometimes colloquially as the kissing disease from its oral transmission or simply as mono in North America and as glandular fever in other English-speaking countries) is an infectious, widespread viral disease caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), one type of herpes virus, to which more than 90% of adults have been exposed.[2] Most people are exposed to the virus as children, when the disease produces no noticeable symptoms or only flu-like symptoms.
Apparently so. I've never heard it called Glandular fever before. xD

Disco~ 02-13-2011 04:33 PM

Oh wow, I didn't know that's what mono was xD I guess it's just a Scottish thing to call it glandular fever xD

monstahh` 02-13-2011 04:45 PM

I AM A NERD, I LIKE THESE TYPES OF THINGS.
xD
I'm more of a trivia and puzzle nerd though...I never know anything really useful for anything really...except just knowing random crap.
I love google, and conspiracy theories.

So, my boyfriend is playing Bioshock.
On one hand it looks really fun, but on the other, I know I would bug out and fail miserably. xD

Disco~ 02-13-2011 04:48 PM

I love conspiracy theories too! Knowing the most trivial and random crap really sums me up as a person. The majority of my knowledge is random things that mean nothing to anyone xD

My favourite conspiracy theory was definitely 9/11 though, as in, the cover stories rather than the actual event.

I really fancy Bioshock, but I don't know anyone who owns it so I can have a shot D;

As someone FROM NY, who SAW the towers fall, and watched the aftermath for weeks on the news, and my dad got stuck in the city...I totally believe the one where they got a warning, and ignored it.
Dunno why, for not sure anyway, but it doesn't surprise me that they didn't do shit to prevent it.
I mean, it enabled them to pass bills like the PATRIOT act, and promote Bill W. Bush as a "defender of the American way."
XP Which is probably what won him the second election, derp.

Disco~ 02-13-2011 05:02 PM

Of course it was that which won him the second election. Someone that is that mentally disadvantaged couldn't have won under his own steam for a second time xD

One of the best jokes I heard about George W. was just after the news got out when Barrack Obama compared his ten pin bowling scores to that of the special Olympics.

Quote:

Barrack Obama's ten pin bowling scores may have been comparable to the special Olympic standards, but luckily, unlike the last president, he was not a participant of the special Olympics.

monstahh` 02-13-2011 05:16 PM

He didn't win under his own steam the first time.
Bribery & fixed voting booths, mang. xD

Also, lol.

Disco~ 02-13-2011 05:19 PM

Yes, you'd have to assume that the standard voter has more sense than that. xD

monstahh` 02-13-2011 05:34 PM

You'd assume, but you'd probably be wrong in general. Most people are idiots...Though I can't blame them.
Most of society today is about misinformation and misdirection.
