A girl, a dragon, and some space travel (Me and Palmoun only)
A teenage girl finds herself along on her plant. She does know now but time doesn't pass her. It stays the same in a forever night. She has to survive this for most...okay forever. One day when she found a treat, an apple barely hanging onto a dying tree she sees this blinding light. At first she doesn't know what it is so after getting her apple she runs down the broken paths of the town to where they landed in a valley. She stands on a low cliff and stares as actual people walk out of the ship. Her eyes widen in disbelief and she doesn't know what to do. She wonders if they see if, if they'll save her from this place of fighting hunger, and mutant animals to survive. She sees that one, a tall teenager, spots her and she goes to speak but finds that no words come out, and her body goes limps as she passes out. Her body falls form the cliff and he somehow manages to catch her. He wonders where this girl came from and why she's living on this planet that's been deserted for over three thousand years. She walked slowly into a dark room to find no one. She lets out a loud scream to hear her own voice but nothing. She felt alone and she was. She walked forever in the black abyss of her memories to escape the feel of death. As she walked in the darkness she hoped, with any she had left, that she will be saved. But she knows the truth and no one will come. No one will save her from my tragic walk through the rubble of what once was a her beautiful town. The big tall buildings fallen like a sandcastle in a wave. She walked on ground thats not black or white but red, stained by blood of the innocent. The women, the men, the children, it didn’t matter who it was, all were killed. No one was left alive except her. Did I cause all this? She wondered. She walks around for hours or what felt hours but here there was no time and nothing ever changed, not even she did. She walked among the rebel looking for something to eat. Anything to eat. She didn’t need to eat but it made her feel more human on this forsaken planet. At times she would feel the need to eat when her stomach would growl saying she was hungry but that didn't happen often. She ran her fingers softly through her damaged hair as she sighed. She heard a loud noise coming from the sky. She looked up to see a large air ship. It looked a lot different from what her people used to create. It looked like who ever was in it was better with technology. As she thought on this she realized it was a ship. A ship! Does it see me. Will it save me. she thought looking up at it. She really couldn't believe this but she started to run. Her feet were so used to being cut up she didn't notice that the rocks, glass and shards of everything that had been a building once, were cutting into her feet as they landed on the ground. She was able to run a lot faster then most people since she did have to survive mutated creatures, which surprisingly taste really good. She tried to scream but her voice just cracked and she couldn't hear it over the engine. Is it landing, Oh god, if your there still looking after me, let this be my ticket out of this hell hole she thought running with what little energy she had, tripping over ruble that scraped her where ever it touched. She whimpered as she slowly lifted herself up and looked down the cliff to the only place where it looked like they were able to land. |
Cain sighed as the ship finally touched down and slowly got to his feet. The other people where excited to finally come here, it was there usual hunting trip to this planet. The Mutant monsters here where perfect to show your strength and there meat was one of hte best things to feed the dragons. He strapped on his sword and his gun. His people where very inteligent but the best way to show that you where strong was to hunt and race. It has always been like that and he was still rising in the ranks of racing so he had to hunt to make up for how bad he was.
He slowly exited out of the ship with the others and breathed in the air. He heard the others joking about how the people who use to live hear had messed up. Yes they had but it didn't mean that they had the right to joke about them. He started to look around for any prey to kill. He pulled out his sword and slowly made his way out of there. His boots made crunching sounds as he made his way away from teh ship. As he walked he coudlnt' help but feel eyes on him. He looked around and soon saw someone looking at him. A girl. he didnt' remember seeing her on the ship, did she come here by herself? she looked as if she had been here for a long time. He just stood there and stared at her for a long time and then slowly started to make his way towards her. |
She really couldn't believe that someone was here. She held her head as she felt it spin a bit. "I-I guess it is my eat day." she said as she slowly stood up and looked down as she noticed the man look up. She couldn't believe how much he looked like he belonged here. He had the weapons they would have when they went out to do the hunting. She slowly stood up and walked closer. "Help me.." she said as she whimpered a little and reached for him as her body seemed to give out. She felt her body just go limp as her eyes slowly closed. It felt like slow motion but once her eyes closed and she was surround by darkness she didn't know what was happening. Her body fell from the cliff she'd been standing on. Her body bounced off the side of the cliff but it hardly cut her body. The dark world made it hard for her body to be seen but the lights that the ships was giving off was the only way that you could see her body hit the ground below the cliff. She had only one bad gash on her left side. Her skin was horribly white and had blue spots all over it because of what she went through. She had dark circles under her eyes from the lack of sleep but then again who would sleep when every time you closed your eyes you would hear the screams of your friends as they died. |
Cain cursed when he saw her fall and started to run towards her as fast as he could. He moved faster then most of the people there since he trained hard to be a good hunter. He slid and cought her right before she crashed into the ground. He held her close to him and looked at her. She looked like she had hardly eaten anything in a long time and that she had hardly slept. He slowly got to his feet and kept her close to him.
"hey, Boss, we got something." he said as he headed over to the ship. A big guy with scars came over and when he saw the girl he could only stare, "do you think she was left here on a hunting trip by accident?" Cain asked and he held her carefully so that he wouldnt' hurt her. THe boss shrugged, "I dont know but you found her so you take care of her." The boss said and then called for everyone to come back since it was getting time to go. Cain headed into one of the bed chambers in teh ship and gently layed her down. He slowly started to bandage up her cuts and hoped she would be okay, whoever she was. |
The cook of the ship walked in hoping to do some mindless flirting but froze when she saw some other girl on his bed. She was about to complain till she saw how she looked. "Where did you find her? It looks like she hasn't seen the light of day in like..her hole life!" she said worriedly as she ran over to them and started to check her over. Finally, another girl on the ship. She was the cook/nurse or liked to think herself a nurse since she took care of a lot of wounds. She gently ran her hands over the girl and started to look at what was wrong with her. "We'll need to get food into her and water. Look at how her skin just stays like this." she said as she pinched her skin and it just staid like that. The girl whimpered softly as she rolled away from her hands. She whimpered a little as she started to wake up. At first she wasn't sure why there was a warmth around her. It was soft, smooth, and wasn't cutting into her skin. She let her eyes slowly open and she whimpered loudly as she covered her eyes and pulled the blanket around her. "Are you okay?" Ami asked her as she gently touched her shoulder and the girl started to cry. A soft, broken cry could be heard from under the blanket but that was it. She could visibly see that she was shaking. She backed away from the bed. She wasn't sure what to do. |
Cain watched Ami talk but when he saw the girl start to cry he knew he had to figure out a way to help. He looked at Ami, "go and get some food and water for her. She needs it right now. I will take care of everything else. I know more about the planet then you do." he said as he looked at her. He then waited till Ami was out of the room before closing the door. He then turned off all the lights since he had a feeling it would bother her.
After his eyes adjusted to the darkness he walked over and sat down next to her. "it is okay. I won't hurt you." he said to her softly and slowly and gently pulled the blankets away from her. He smiled when he looked at her, "see, nothing is the matter, your safe now." he said to her softly. She looked like she had been on that planet for a long time, he hoped that she was okay and that she didn't die or anything. "I saw you, I saw you watching us. I was the one who was coming over towards you." he said to her softly and was trying to get her to calm down. He then saw a wound he hadn't bandaged and slowly reached out. "let me see." he said softly and slowly bandaged it. He watched her carefully and hoped that she didn't think he was trying to harm her and attack him. |
The girl slowly relaxed when the lights were out. Since she'd spent so much time in the dark it hurt so badly to finally get back into the light. She slowly lifted the blanket off of her body and slowly sat up. Her body shook with some effort that it took to get into a sitting position. She looked at him and blinked a few times. Her eyes were a dull color and she watched as he started to walk back towards her. She pulled the blanket half around her and winced slightly at the wound on her uncovered right shoulder. She looked down when he started to talk. She was surprised that he wasn't trying to have his way with her like some of the other men that had found their way to her part of the planet. She hesitated then slowly moved the raggedy shirt off her right shoulder and slowly turned around so he was able to see the wound. It wasn't bleeding much at all but the gash was a deep purple instead of a normal red. Her skin was a cool and clammy. It didn't have a normal color to it. She waited to see what he was going to do. The door opened and Ami walked back in. She was confused at to why the lights were out. In her hands she held a tray filled with some fruit and juice that would help give her energy and help her body heal correctly. She searched for the light switch and before anyone could say anything about keeping them off she flipped the switch up. "There we go." she said as she smiled at the two. The girl screamed as she covered her eyes and fell over the side of the bed with the blanket around her. She turned her body towards the bed hoping to get under it but there wasn't enough space for her to squeeze under it. She cried loudly as she held her eyes covering them. They burned so badly now and she was freaked out. Ami quickly switched the light off and the trey she'd been holding had fallen from her hands with the girls sudden screams. "I'm sorry, I-I didn't mean to hurt you with the light. I...I'll just get more food and leave it outside for when your ready to eat it." she said as she quickly exited the room. This time the girl didn't move from her spot on the side of the bed. She was to scared that the lights would return on and hurt her eyes again. Her body shook as she pulled the blanket more over her eyes. |
Cain watched at Ami headed out of the room and hoped that he would get to talk to her later about this. But right now he had this girl to take care of. He looked down at her and smiled at her, "dont worry, the light is gone, you wont get hurt by it again." he said to her softly as he gently bent down and picked her up into his arms. He gently layed her down on the bed and pulled the other blankets over her.
"Food will be here soon and the light wont come back on this time. I promise." he said to her softly and then went over to the light switch. He pulled out some tap and tapped the switch down so that no one could hurt her eyes again. He then walk then walked over to his backpack and pulled out his spare clothing. He layed it down on the bed next to her and gently placed a hand on her shoulder, "I have some clothing here you can change into, they will be warmer then what your wearing now." he said as he looked at her. He hoped that she would come out from the covers but knew she didn't trust the lights. She was probably so use to seeing the dark and not the light that it hurt her eyes and probably her skin to. He had been surprsied by how her skin was, but he guessed that was from her staying in the dark for so long. THey had never met anyone that had stayed in the darkness for so long so he bet this was what happened to them. Then a idea formed in his head and hs ran over to his bag. he pulled out his racing goggles and walked over to her. He would keep the goggles on him till they went outside. They would sheild her eyes from the hurtfull sun rays and hopefully it wont hurt her as much. "how about if you come out of the covers, I promise to protect you from the light if you do." he said and ment it. Even thought this was taking up his racing preperation time he felt like he needed to help her and the boss had made her his responability. |
The girl was half tempted to bit him when she felt his fingers on his body. This just wasn't right. She really didn't like others touching her body. She gripped the sheets of the bed when she was placed on them but was really surprised when she felt the blankets fall upon her body. Does he really not want to hurt me.... she asked herself as she poked an eye out as she watched him walk around the room. She saw how he brought her cloths and was surprised as he placed them near her. Was she finally gonna be able to get out of these cloths that she'd been in for a while now. She let her hand slide out from under the covers and touched them. They were so soft, not rough like the one's she was wearing. She looked up at him as she listened to the words fall out of his mouth. He had a sad expression on and she felt bad for him. She slowly slid the blankets off of her body and slowly sat up. She hesitated then gently rubbed his cheek. "N-o s-ad." she said brokenly as she smiled a little. She had a little bit of innocence to her. She really looked like she was only a little kid in a teenage body. She sat there as she heard a knock on the door and jumped a little. Ami's voice could be heard on the other side saying that there was food. The girls stomach growled a little as she heard the word food. She wanted to apologize for her stomach but just a soft squeak came out. |
Cain smiled when he saw her slowly slipping out from the caccoon of blankets. But what surprised him was that she actually reached out and touched his cheek and spoke. Her voice sounded rough and broken. But that was to be expected after what she had been threw. He found himself smiling at her, "no sad just worryed." he said as he looked at her and smiled. That was the truth he cared for people and that included her.
He chuckled when he heard her stomach and pulled away from her, "be back in a few minutes." he said as he headed over to the door. He opened it only a little and made sure that none of the light hit her. He then looked at Ami, "thanks, she needs this badly." he said as he looked at his friend and then dissappeared into the room and shut the door. He brought the food over to her and sar it on the night stand. "here this is all for you." he said as he smiled at her. He looked over at the clock and saw it was getting close to race time. Bit he had to take care of her, why dis he have to find her? But as he looked at her he realized he was glad to take care of her. Some of the other guys on this ship would of taken advantage of her but he would t. He knew what it was like to be alone and scared. It was one of the reasons why he was kind to peoe like her who had nothing and no one. |
The girl whimpered when he opened the door and she saw the light. She was glad that it didn't shine on her at all. He really looked like he wanted The girl smiled happily as she grabbed at the food and ate it quickly with her hands. The fruit tasted amazing against her tongue. She finished the fruit then drank the juice. She felt the warmth fill her body. It felt so great. She slowly moved and laid down in the bed. She had a huge smile on her face. "I-I'll sl-ee-p. Y-Yo-u do-do wh-at y-ou ha-ve to-to do-o." she said as she wrapped the blankets around her. She covered her face as she kissed his leg. Her hand rested on his leg for a little as she snuggled into it for warmth. It felt so good to have someone with her. Her hand slid off of his leg slowly when she fell asleep. Her body slowly relaxed into the warmth of the bed and the smile on her face staid there. She truly looked really happy. |
Cain was surprsied when he felt her kiss his leg and looked down at her. He smiled as he watched her fall asleep and her hand fall from his leg. She looked so innocent now that it was a wonder that she could of survived on that plant for any length of time. He then set down the goggles on the desk and wrote a note to her, "if you want to explore change first and wear the goggles, they will sheild you from the light." he wrote and set ot down on the table next to the goggles. he then set the clothing next to the note too.
He then headed towards the door and slid out of the room. it was almost time for the race and he nad to go and get ready. He ran down the hall to the kitchen and then looked at Ami, "the girl is asleep but do you think you could keep a eye on her, I dont want anything happening to her." he said as he looked at Ami and hoped that she would say yes. it was almost time and he had to go to the race cource and get everything ready. |
The girl slept for a little while. She was awoken because of nightmares that seemed to claim her dreams. She whimpered a little as she sat up. Her body was feeling a lot better though and she was grateful for it. She noticed a note and she moved over to the thing and touched it. She could recognize the letters but wasn't sure what it said. She stared at it for a while then stripped from the cloths she was wearing. She put on the pants first and giggled as she noticed that it was big on her. She found some string laying around and tied two loops together. She slipped the shirt on and then looked at the goggles. She ran her fingers through her hair and then tied it up. She slipped the goggles on and then hesitated towards the door. She opened the door and jumped back a little when she saw the light. But it was different. It was dark light. That made her smile. She was going to be able to see what this strange place that she was brought to was like. She silently walked up and down the halls wondering if she would be able to find her new friend. She saw Ami and froze. Ami looked at her as she looked back. Before Ami could talk she bolted. She ran off and towards the dragon race. Ami ran after her. "Wait! Girl! Don't go down there! That's where they keep the dragons!" she cried as the girl took a turn and headed towards the dragon cages. Ami feared the dragons and couldn't follow. She could only stand and watch her as she stopped in front of a cage of one of the angriest dragons. He watched as she smiled and held out her hand. The girl loved dragons and the one in front of her looked like one that was from her world. "A-ri-a." she said as she moved towards the cage and held out her hand. Smoke slipped from its mouth as the dragon moved his head down. It's body lite on fire as it turned into its smaller form. It jumped at her and started to lick at the girls face. The girl giggled happily as she snuggled the dragon. Guards surrounded the girl and she started to get really scared. |
Cain had just been about ready to take his dragon out ot the race. He loved his dragon, he was a beautiful blue and he was always nice to him. he cared for him and he cared for him. It had always been like that ever since the people here took him in and let him stay here. Right when he saw him they had been together. But when he heard Ami crying out he had to pull away from her. He looked around and could only stare at the girl as she calmed down the one dragon.
He started to head over to her and tell her just how lucky she was to actually be able to calm him down when the guards came. This wasn't good, she was a stranger and if she wasn't carefull they would probably hurt her. He ran over to her and pushed his way threw the guards, "Hey back off, she is new." he said as he finally got to her and smiled at her. "I thought you where asleep." he said as he wrapped a arm around her since he saw the fear in her eyes. He then looked at hte guard, "back off, she doesn't know anything. She is new and she is my responsability, the bosses orders." he said and stood protective over her. He heard his dragon, Sunil, roar in agreement with him and smirked. he was a great dragon and he would hope that no one took Sunil from him. |
The guards turned to each other and then looked down at the two and the younger dragon. "Sorry but unless you give that dragon back we can't let you go." he said as his friend nodded in agreement. The dragon was and old dragon but still young enough to have a younger form. Most dragons could which between the two till they hit their elder years. The girl wrapped her arms around the dragon and moved away from them. One of the guards touched her shoulder and she grabbed at his arm and flipped him over her shoulder. She cried a little as she held the dragon closer. "M-in-e!" she cried brokenly as she held it closer to her chest. "Young girl! That is no way to treat a member of the military. We're here to protect you and what your doing is stealing. That's against the law!" the older man that had been flipped yelled at her. He was in no good mood to be flipped in front of so many people and by a girl, which was just plan not heard of. The guard slowly advanced on her and the dragon stepped in the way. A light mark started to appear on her forehead and on the girls right shoulder that was showing where the shirt was slipping off. It growled angrily at the guard and he sighed. "Well it looks like this can't happen. The girls been imprinted." he said as he turned and walked away from the group. The girl threw herself at the dragon and clung to her. She gently nuzzled the dragon as it licked at her tears. She moved next to her friend and held onto his sleeve. "M-y d-ra-go-n....Ar-ia..."she said as tears slipped down her cheeks. "I-I l-os-t...n-ow f-oun-d." she cried as she clung to him. "Th-ou-ght d-ead." she cried harder as she held onto the dragon more. |
Cain looked at her and nodded, "I see, dont worry, she is yours now. No one will take her." he said or at least hoped they didn't. He then wrapped a arm around her and smiled. "now then come on, I need to take you to a safe place." he said but then heard a lot of cheering and sighed. He had just missed being in the race. But as he looked down at her he relizied that she was imporant now.
He then felt claws in his shirt and looked over his shoulder. Sunil was on his shoulder and he chuckled as he licked his ear. He then looked down at her and gently stroked the girls head. "come on, we need to head back to my room before you cause anymore trouble. There I can explain to you everything." he said and continued to lead her out of there. He lead her back to his room and kept the dragons with him since it seemed that she didn't want to let go of her dragon and Sunil was curious about her. He then sat her down on his bed and sat down in his chair. Sunil climbed off of his shoulder and headed over to her. He gently nudged her witn his nose and looked at her Curious. Cain then said, "so how long where you on that planet for?" he asked. |
Ami walked back with them but went to the mess hall to make lunch for everyone. The girl staid close to her new friend. She looked at his dragon and smiled as she walked back to the ship. She turned down the halls with no trouble and kept a firm hold on her dragon Aria. She wasn't going to let anyone take the last thing from her planet away from her. She missed her childhood friend and was so happy to have her back. She relaxed completely when they were back in the darkness. She took the goggles of and set them on the table. She looked at the note and picked it up. She walked over to him and handed it to him. "Wha-t s-ay?" she asked as she walked over to the corner with one of the blankets and sat down. She felt something touch her leg and she looked down to see his dragon. She let Aria out of her hands and she walked a little away from the other dragon and sat at her side in the blankets. She softly pet her dragon as she smiled happily and pet his also. she looked up at him when he asked the question. "I-'ve al-way b-een th-er-e." she said as she tilted her head in confusion. She didn't understand how long that truly was. To her it felt only like three years at most but in truth three thousand years had passed. She giggled as she picked his dragon up and set it in her lap. She looked him over wondering what the dragon could do. She had heard from her mother that different dragons from different places did different things. Her dragon was able to blow fire like the rest but she was a lot faster then the others. Or that's what her mother had told her. She blinked a few times as she started to rub his dragon's stomach. "Wh-at y-o-ur n-ame? I-I Ai-Ai." she said as she smiled happily. |
Cain smiled at her and then took the note from her and threw it away. "it just said that I would be away for a little while and that you could wear the clothing and goggles." he said as he looked at her. He smiled as Sunil, he looked happy to be there with her and he then moved so that he was sitting next to her and her dragon. "well now your here, you will be safer here but you might have to get use to the light or continue to wear my goggles." he said as he smield at her and gently stroked her dragon.
He then smiled at Ai, "it is nice to met you Ai, I am Cain." he said as he looked at her. He heard Sunil purr slightly and looked up at her. Cain could tell right away that his dragon already liked Ai. He then looked at her, "and this guys name is Sunil." he said and Sunil looked at him and smield before licking Ai's hand to show that he was liking this. |
She listened as he talked. She blinked as she learned their names and she was glad that he liked her name. It was a Japanese name that meant love. She wished she was able to say that but her throat was really starting to bother her. She couldn't help the small broken laugh as she felt Sunil purr against her body. She looked down at Aria and lifted her into Cain's lap. Aria was surprised but Ai knew that she wouldn't care. Ai nuzzled the small dragon and then yawned. She wanted to sleep so badly but was getting to scared to sleep anymore. She sleepily looked up at him. "Sl-ee-p w-i-th m-e?" she asked innocently as she pulled on his shirt a little. She thought that if she had someone with her when she went to sleep maybe she wouldn't wake up and be so scared anymore. Aria looked at Sunil that was in her masters lap and licking her master and she felt slightly jealous. She playfully tackled Sunil out of her lap and rolled around the floor with the younger dragon.That surprised her a little bit. Ai didn't know that Aria like to play around like that and was glad that her friend had someone to play with. She looked back at Cain and waited to hear his answer. (Oh something I didn't say, I wrote a story with this plot and the name i used for the guy was Cain XD) |

Cain smiled at her and was surprised when he saw saw Aria tackle Sunil. Sunil smirked and then started to play with Aria. Cain usually never saw him play with any of the other dragons and it was nice to see him play. He needed a friend besides him, they may be there for each other always but sunil needed someone of his own kind. Cain was surprised when he heard her question and looked at her. She looked like she didn't mean anything by it and the grip on his shirt told him that he shouldn't leave her. He smiled at her and nodded, "yes, I will if you really want me too." he said as he looked at her and gently placed his hand over the on that gripped his shirt. He would stay here with her till she got comfortable to be alone here. |
Ai smiled happily as she hesitated then moved closer and nuzzled her cheek to his. Aria and Ai both yawned at the same time. She hesitated then picked up the playing dragons. She nuzzled them both as she looked down at Cain. "May we sleep now?" she asked softly as her eyes looked down at her feet. They were slowly moving closer together. She was hiding her face in the dragons hoping that they wouldn't mind going to sleep. She was really exhausted from the day and she didn't want him to hear him say no. She hesitated then moved over to the bed and sat the dragons on the pillows at the head of the bed. It was big enough for more then one person to sleep comfortably. She turned her body a little then blushed and walked over to get the blanket that she had officially called hers. She turned and walked back to the bed and climbed in. She wrapped the blanket around her and opened her arms up hoping he would join her. She just wanted him to sleep next to her. She wanted to curl up to his side and snuggle into it so she could wake up to someone next to her. |
Cain smiled and nodded, "yes we can sleep now." he said and had been a little bit surprised when she nuzzled her cheek to his. But once she pulled away he couldn't help but smile at her. She was a very nice and sweet lgirl. She just was getting use to everything now that she was with other humans. He chuckled when he saw the dragons and watched her get that blanket. He guessed that that was hers from now on.
He just looked at her for a while and then kicked off his shoes. He moved close to her and wrapped a arm around her since it seemed like the right thing to do. "night ai." he said to her softly and kept her close to him. He then closed his eyes and relaxed but waited for her to get comfortable before going to sleep. |
Ai hesitated then snuggled close and into his chest as she wrapped her blanket around her body. She pulled it tight so that it would keep her warm through the night. She blinked a little when she felt the blanket move. She turned to see Aria sitting there with big eyes. Ai smiled happily as she uncurled from the blankets and pulled Aria into the blankets. She held her close and nuzzled into his chest a little. It felt so safe with him there laying next to her. She felt her eyes slowly closing as she felt Aria curling in a ball after moving under the blankets and next to her stomach. She held onto his shirt as she relaxed fully into the warmth around her and fell into a nice deep dreamless sleep. With Aria there she'd taken away all her horrible dreams that would awaken her in the middle of the night. She wouldn't be able to dream since she had not experienced a good thing in over three thousand years. |
