Roxas snuck quietly through the halls of the palace. 'So far so good....' he thought. His thoughts briefly went back to Sora, who was by now with his family. He hoped his mom wouldn't see through the trick they pulled. If not, than it would ruin everything.

He stopped to glance around a corner. He knew that sneaking around like this would only make him look more suspicious. So he took a deep breath to calm himself down. He was supposed to be acting like Sora. He ran a hand through his hair before pushing himself away from the wall he was leaning on. 'Just remember to act like you belong here at least.... Hopefully no-one will call you out on being who you're not...' he thought.

He straightened the front of the robe Sora had given him nervously before turning around the corner and walking down the hall.

((Hope you don't mind, but I thought it'd be funner if this was in like a feudal Japan type era.))

((Ok, just know I might make a few mistakes with the era.))

Axel walked the hallways filled with boredom. Sora hasn't been around as much. Is he hiding away in his room? He had been reduced to talking to others but they just weren't the same. He turned another hall and saw Sora ahead. "Sora, wait up!"

((It's fine. You don't need to be perfectly accurate.))

Roxas froze for a second when he heard someone call out for Sora. Sure, he had known that there would be people he would have to speak with eventually. He just didn't think it would be so soon. But he forced his body to relax as he turned to face whoever it was that had called out to him with a relaxed look on his face.

Axel ran forward and skidded to a stop next to the shorter man. "What happened? Eat something bad? I haven't been able to find you. Left me with all those old cronies. You really should watch what you eat." A sneer came to his face when he thought of the elderly. Many of the high ranking nobles were far older then him so it was always so boring to talk to them.

I didn't really mean food. That doesn't make any sense since his food is always tested first. Maybe he was just trying to avoid me? Axel shrugged it off. At least he is here now. I don't think I can stand politely talking to one more person about how things were so much better in their youth. "So now that your better what are we going to do now?" He slapped Sora on the back laughing.

Axel was all ready to tell Sora he was stupid and that instead of whatever lame idea he had they should go play pranks but then he said that. What is wrong with him? It kind of deflated him a bit. "Uh, well how about we go rile up the animals or go frighten the servants or sneak out." He just wanted to do something.

Sora never agreed to sneaking out before. What happened? Axel shrugged it off and decided to enjoy this weird new Sora. A smirk grew on his face as he thought of the mischief they could do. He waved for Sora to follow him and quickly made his way through the grounds. He slipped out a servant exit and looked around.

Roxas followed after Axel when a thought crossed his mind. What if they ran into Sora while they were out? 'Not good...' He grabbed hold of Axel's arm to stop him. "You know what. I change my mind. Let's stay inside." he said, pulling the other back towards the inside.

Axel sighed and stepped back. "Aw, you never let me have any fun." He pouted. "So what do you want to do Mr. High and Mighty."

Roxas frowned for a second. Great. He didn't want to pick something for them to do and end up having it be something that Sora wouldn't have said. "Well.... I'm not too sure... Anything is fine with me.. Just as long as it doesn't involve anything to make people angry or hurt somebody."

Axel sighed. "Oh, come on you know that is all I do." Sora was acting so weird. He should know that. What is he wanting to do? Go save a kitty?

A confused look crossed Roxas' face for a second. "Why?" he asked, before he could stop himself. But of course, Sora would probably know the reason. A reason that he had not mentioned during one of their meetings. Great.. He might as well just go home now. He knew there was no way he was going to be able to pull this off.

Why? Axel waved his hands. "I don't know. It's just who I am. I'm a trickster." He let his hands fall back down. "Fine Mr. Good. I'm hungry lets go get some food." He wasn't really hungry but he needed something to do.

Roxas frowned, knowing that he had upset Axel. But what was he supposed to do? Sneak out and risk running into Sora? No way. That was not an option. He sighed as he nodded. "Alright.. Fine. Let's go." he said, turning and heading towards the kitchen. He scanned his mind for a mental map of the castle and based on where they were currently at, he went in the direction the kitchen should be.

Axel sighed once again as he followed behind the smaller boy. This isn't the way we usually go. He shrugged it off. When they reached the kitchen he grabbed a pear off the counter and bite into it.

Roxas heard Axel sigh and he wondered if he yet again did something wrong. But nothing was said, so he pushed the thought from his mind. He looked around the kitchen when they arrived and thought of what Sora would have wanted to snack on. He tended to go for the more healthier foods, so Roxas grabbed an apple to eat.

"So, what is the real reason you were gone and why you've been acting weird? Find a cute girl?" He was curious but really the questions were prompted more from boredom.

Roxas was silent for a second. Axel just basically gave him an excuse on why he was gone. So he pretended to be embarrassed by dropping his gaze. "You caught me." he said, keeping his gaze down. He knew plenty of girls who wouldn't mind playing along if he asked them to in case he needed proof.

Axel mentally sighed. Sora was like a brother to him and there was something in him that Axel liked slightly more then just that. He leaned against the table and crossed his arms to look at Sora. "So that the reason why you didn't want to leave the palace? Didn't want me to meet the young thing?" He was slightly hurt by that thought. They had once shared everything. While he had a reputation he would never steal his friend's girl, no matter what others thought on that subject. But what other reason does he have for not telling me?

Roxas put an embarrassed smile on his face. "It's not that I didn't want you to meet her.. She's just really shy around new people." he said, hoping that excuse would work. After all, he did have a friend who tended to get quiet around people she didn't know. But he never would have thought of dating her. She was more like a sister to him. Always had and always will.

"Well then how am I suppost to get to know her if she doesn't like to talk to new people? Till I see her she'll always be new. It isn't fair that you get to go out and have fun and I get stuck here." He pouted slightly. "I covered for you so many times. I should at least get to meet the person you were going out to see. Especially if this girl is so special that you would break rules for."

Roxas frowned and was silent for a long moment. He sighed, knowing Axel did have a point. "You're right.. I'm sorry." he said. He kept his gaze on the ground as he took another bite of his apple. "It's just that.. I don't know if I'm ready for you to meet her or not. I'm not sure how far our relationship is going to actually go." Actually, if Axel kept persisting, he'd just have to 'end' the relationship as soon as he could.
