"We're in the Demonic Realm of Agnimitra," Charmase replied, simply. "It's a different, adjoining dimension to the human world. There's also the Angelic Realm of Tébegong...but as you'd imagine, demons and their slaves aren't allowed anywhere near it..."

"Okay," Molly said slowly. "Well, what is there to do here? I mean, if we all want to go out together." She rubbed her arm nervously still not sure how she felt about having Cici come along. If he didn't like girls' that was one strike. She was new, another strike. Molly already had strikes against her and she hadn't even done anything. She was worried he would be there for her first screw up. But as she looked up at Charma, she felt a little bit of hope that it would all be okay.

"Sometimes Hershey will take us all out to amusement parks. They have pretty much most things we do back home...just...a few more things. Odd things..."

Molly just nodded, trying to understand. "Alright. That sounds fun then." She gave him a small smile. Then she looked around the room for a bit before her eyes landed on him again. "So, what happened to Hirsch's last slave? what was he like?" She spoke softly, not wanting to upset anyone, but she wanted to know. She dind't want to unknowingly do something to bring up bad memories, or make the same mistakes he had. She wanted Hirsch to like her. That was her biggest goal. "I just want Hirsch to like me, i don't want to disappoint him." She tried to explain. It sounded strange that that is what she wanted, instead of going home, she wanted her new master to like her.

Charmase smiled, as he started stowing his violin back into its case. "You mean Damon?" he asked, hesitantly. "Damon was a sweetheart. But...if there was anyone here that got on Cici's nerves more than I do...it was Damon. Damon was a quiet, demure kind of guy. He was kind to everyone, no matter how much abuse they put him through. He was terminally ill, too...that earned him pity points from other people."
He paused. "Cici used to take advantage of him soooo much. He was so nasty to him. Hershey adored him. They would do almost everything together." |
Molly frowned. She had big shoes to fill. If this Daemon guy was adored by Hirsch, how was she supposed to compare? She suddenly felt herself getting sad. She had always been a screw up. When she made this deal she thought maybe she would be useful for once in her life. But now she was suddenly unsure. How was she supposed to replace someone that Hirsch obviously cared for a great deal? She hung her head, her mind racing.

Charmase blinked, thinking he'd said something wrong. He shuffled forward, resting a tentative hand on her arm. "What's wrong?" he asked, tilting his head sadly to the side. "Did I say something to upset you? I'm really sorry if I did..."

Molly looked up, "Oh no, it wasn't you i promise." She tried to smile but it failed. "It's just..." She sighed. "I am supposed to be replacing Daemon. Hirsch really cared for him apparently. How am i supposed to take his place when I'm sure Hirsch really doesn't like me all that much." She played with her hair nervously. "This probably sounds stupid, but I don't really have much to hope for anymore, all i want is to fit in here and be liked by my owner."

"If you want Hershey to like you, you should get to know him a little better. And, though it sounds odd, majorly suck up to him until he starts to get curious about you as well..." Charmase suggested, quietly. "Momo and I...well...we fit together very easily even when we knew nothing about each other, so most of that wasn't necessary.

Molly nodded. It wasn't much advice, but it was better than nothing. She looked up at Charma. "Is there anything in particular that he likes or something i can do to make him happy and show him i'm trying?" she looked up at him, hope in her voice.

Charmase scratched his head, sheepishly. "Well...you could try just spending time with him and going out on fun little trips. He loves being social, in general. A desperate move would be to, erm...appeal to his Succubus and Incubus-ish kind of needs...I wouldn't recommend that. Cici doesn't like it when people do stuff in his house..."

Her face turned red at the mere mention of that stuff. "The social stuff i think i can do. I don't think i can do the other stuff though." She took a deep breath. "Okay, just spend time with him, i can manage that." She said more to reassure herself.

"Yep. Just try to find out exactly what he'd be willing to do with you--go out and have fun at a club, go shopping, go out for walks...anything. Experiment around a bit," Charmase added, nodding. "Once you figure out what way is best for the two of you to hang out...everything should fall into place.

"Right." She smiled and stood up and gave him a quick hug. "Thanks for the pep talk." She pulled away still smiling, but her cheeks were a tad bit red. "Well, now what should we do? Tour more or go back to the others?"

"Well...those are my favorite places in the house, so...maybe it would be best to go back to the others. Unless you want to go and rest for a while? I'm sure that everyone has finished eating..." Charmase backpedaled, slowly. "Hershey might be heading back here as we speak..."

Molly got to her feet and straightened out her shirt. "Well, i guess i should go spend time with him then." She gave him a small smile before she turned to leave the room. "Now lets just see if i can not get lost in here." She let out a nervous laugh.

"Getting lost is really easy in this place," Charmase agreed, a big grin on his face. "You'll get lost, inevitably. If that happens, just scream that you're lost and ask for help. Someone will hear you eventually..." He had no problem leading the way out of the room...he also had little issue getting back to the mess hall.

Molly followed Charma back to the mess hall. When she saw Hirsch still talking to Cinnabar, she got a little nervous. She didn't want to interrupt. So Molly stood and waited until it seemed like an appropriate time before she sat back down where she had sat earlier. She decided she would just wait for him to finish his conversation.

When Cinnabar finally left the room, possibly to clean up in the kitchen, Hirsch sat back down next to her, sighing pleasantly. He was always in a good mood after eating. "...Mm..." He glanced at her, seeming curious. "So, how'd the mini-tour go? I hope Charma didn't bore you."

Molly smiled at him. "It was fun. He showed me the art room and the music room." her smile grew, "No Charma wasn't boring. He actually sang for me, he's really good." She gave the boy a smile before she looked back up at her master. "So what would you like to do now?" She asked him, the smile still on her face.

"Weeeelll." Hirsch seemed like he really had nothing else planned for the day. "...I do have vices. I have a love for human video games--I pilfer them from your world aaaalll the time. So, how about we play a co-op game together?"

Molly's eyes seemed to light up a bit. "I would love to play!" She hadn't played video games in ages. She would enjoy playing games, especially if it would help her get to know Hirsch. She got to her feet and waited for Hirsch to lead the way back to the room, she would get hopelessly lost if she tried to lead the way.

Hirsch waved goodbye to the other patrons of the mansion and took her hand again, leading her out of the mess hall. "Sooo...what kinds of games do you like? I have bunches, so you can pick the one we play..."

Molly's face flushed when he grabbed her hand, but she had to admit, it was kind of nice. "Oh uh, i actually haven't played anything in a while. But i tend to like the first person shooter games. Stuff like Halo and CoD." She admitted hoping he liked them too.

"Halo's not my thing. Call of Duty is fun, but not my favorite. However!" Hirsch danced slightly. "My favorite game of aaaallll time happens to be a first-person shooter. And that would be Left 4 Dead..."
Zombies. Of course. Zombies were Hirsch's favorite creatures... |
