"If you'd like. Maybe his zombies, too...he has just one that's fully tame..." Hirsch popped the head off of another 'Special' zombie, one with an elongated neck that spit greenish acid at them. "He sells odd trinkets...and that's pretty much all I can say. You would have to see it to understand. And you're not talking too much..."
Hirsch, in fact, seemed to be enjoying the conversation between them. |
Molly nodded with a smile, glad she wasn't over doing anything too bad. After a while Molly thought of another question. "So how long have you lived here wit h Cici and Cinnabar?" she hoped it wasn't too personal of a question, she just wanted to know more about him.

"Momo was here first, actually...but he doesn't really live here. Charmase lives here. Momo only comes home to spend time with us and to eat. The rest of the time, he's out with friends...and he stays at their homes sometimes, as well. I came next. So, I've been with Cici for decades...Cinnabar just showed up a few years ago..."
Hirsch smiled slightly, reminiscing. He thought of them all as one strange, haphazard family. |
Molly nodded as she kept playing. It sounded like they all had a pretty decent family like relationship. Hopefully she would get to be part of it. Another question popped in her head but this time she was even more worried about asking. "So you are obviously a lot older than you appear, which makes me wonder...how many slaves have you had?" the last part came out slowly. she didn't want to upset him, that was the last thing she wanted.

"Eh? Just three," Hirsch replied, offing a few more zombies in the game with a thrown molotov cocktail. "The first one escaped from here even though I treated him well. Cici killed him. The last one I told you about...he had a terminal illness and I couldn't help him..."

Molly hung her head a little bit. "It probably doesn't mean much, but I'm sorry." She kept playing the game, throwing a grenade at a group and killing almost all of them. Part of her felt bad for Hirsch's loss of his last slave. From what Charma said they had been close. Molly hoped she would do, she wans't a perfect replacement, but she hoped he would at least be okay.

"It means a lot--thanks..." Hirsch flashed her another smile before turning back to the screen. He paused again once all zombies had been killed. There was an eerie silence in the game, and it was soon punctuated with sad, feminine crying.
"...Ah. The sugar zombie," he commented, amused, in reference to the crying. |
Molly couldn't help but smile in return. "That's a sugar zombie?" She asked with a quirked head. "What exactly do those ones do?" she looked at the screen at the crying figure displayed.

The zombie in question was a small, skinny woman with grayish-white skin, glowing amber eyes that cast a reddish light around it...and foot-long black claws instead of fingers. It was wearing nothing but a torn tank top and torn undies.
"If you approach it, it attacks...and it can kill you in one hit. If you shoot it, it'll attack whoever shot it. The flashlight on here speeds up its irritation. Loud noises bother it. Startle it, and it will go after whoever startled it...kill that person, then turn tail and run." |
"Well that sounds just peachy. How are we supposed to kill it?" She looked up him at a complete loss. She was glad he wasn't offended by her last question. She found herself starting to like the man at her side. He wouldn't be a bad guy to work for forever. She would hate it if she upset him.

"We don't. We're supposed to avoid it," Hirsch informed her, matter-of-factly. "Sneak around her...so that we don't startle her." Hirsch didn't seem to mind her. He was kind to almost everybody...but he had few close friends.

"Alright, will do." Molly bit her lip as she focused trying to move silently. She was focusing so hard, her tooth actually came down hard and cut her lip. "Damn." Molly said as she sat up, a drop of blood dripping down her chin. "That kinda sucks." She frowned.

Hirsch paused the game for her, looking concerned. "Oh, no..." He pointed in the direction of the bathroom. "Go ahead and clean up. There should be stuff to help with the wound in the medicine cabinet..." he offered, kindly.

Molly blushed. "Thanks." She held a hand under her chin just in case it decided to bleed more, she didnt' want to get any on Hirsch's floor. Once in the bathroom, Molly opened up the medicine cabinet and pulled out a cotton ball to dab the blood away. Once she got the tiny cut to stop bleeding she put a dab of medicine on it and then cleaned up, wiping the blood off her chin. Then she returned to Hirsch's side. "Sorry, I can concentrate a little too hard sometimes." She admitted nervously.

Hirsch chuckled, patting her shoulder rather affectionately. "It's just a game. It wouldn't be a game if you were playing it my zombie-loving friend's way...but it is a game, here..."
He waited for her to relax again before he started up the game once more, immediately getting back into the swing of things. |
Molly smiled at Hirsch as she climbed back up onto the bed next to him. She took the controller again and looked back to the screen as he started the game back up again. "So what's the plans for tomorrow?" She asked after a while as she took out another few zombies.

"Tomorrow, we don't have much planned. I have to leave to do something for Cici...so does Momo. Cinnabar, Charmase, and Erudito will still be here. Cici, too...I guess if you want something to do, you can help Charmase out. I...wouldn't help Eru out. You'll get involved with Cici, then..."
Hirsch did not seem to like that idea. Though Erudito was usually stuck with most of the work around the house, anyone who helped him was at his master's mercy... |
Molly nodded, her pity for Eru coming back. She wished she could help him, but she didn't really want to get involved with Cici. "Okay i guess i'll stick with Charma then. unless there was something you needed or wanted me to do." She glanced up at him quick before returning her attention to the screen.

"Just go with Charma's schedule for now...we'll work out one for you sometime in the next few days," Hirsch hummed, deeming that much as acceptable. He seemed to be a real pro at this game, because he never died and rarely lost too much health...even when a behemoth of a zombie, which the characters on-screen called a Tank, attacked them and killed both of the computer-controlled players.

Molly bit her lip again as the tank took the screen. She tried her best to bring it down but died along with the computer controlled characters. She let out a frustrated sigh as she set the controller down. She was still biting her lip as she looked up at Hirsch momentarily before glancing at the screen to see if he could kill it on his own.

Hirsch worked handily for a few moments, and he was able to bring the creature down on his own. He stayed in the area for another few minutes, and then all three of the killed characters appeared, locked in rooms along the way through the building. He fought to get to them, and released them all from the 'hero closets.'
"Done!" |
"That was interesting." Molly scratched her head. "Not a normal respawn." She chuckled and made her character follow Hirsch's. "So what exactly am i going to be doing tomorrow? I mean, I've never done this whole slave thing before." She asked after a few minutes.

"To tell you the truth, I don't know what Charma's schedule is for tomorrow...I know it's mostly just tidying stuff up. So, just follow whatever he does, mmkay?"
Hirsch flashed her a charming smile...again, without really meaning to. |
Molly's face flushed. "O-Okay." She said quietly before turning her attention back to the TV screen. More zombies were coming so she tried to focus on them instead of over thinking things about her new owner.

Hirsch blinked, thinking he'd done something wrong. Most of the time, he didn't realize when he flustered other people with his looks...it was a bad habit that he couldn't get rid of, no matter how hard he tried to...
He offed a few more zombies, and then sighed once they reached a safe place. "...Well, the level after this is the finale...do you want to do the finale, or...?" |
