Criminal Minds
Ok So Criminal minds, apart from Castle is also one of my all time favorite shows of all time. I love the characters and the cases but I know alot of people who Think I'm sick and refuse to watch it because its cases are soooooo twisted. Anyone else experience this sort of problem? Anyone else Love Criminal Minds?

I love Criminal Minds. The cases are awesome!
I wish they spent more time developing their characters though. (I really want Reid to hook up with a nice girl eventually--and it should happen soon because his haircut is freaking adorable). My only gripe at the moment is that they decided to fire J.J. and cut back the time Prentiss is on the show. I'm not a huge Garcia fan, so it bugs me that she's the only full-time female lead now. Imho, she worked better as a background character, just in her computer room. She can't and doesn't do a good job filling J.J.'s shoes--it seriously doesn't work at all. :( On a brighter note, do you have favorite cases? I love the family home invasion one from the very first season. And my other favorite case is the one that Reid's actor actually directed. I think it was from last season and it was the one where the little girl was abducted from the carnival by the elderly couple. That one was just creepy. EDIT: Haha, lol, I got overexcited here and never answered your question. No one minds it that I watch Criminal Minds, but I'm sure my parents would really hate the brutality in some of the cases. Then again, maybe not. My mom absolutely adores Forensic Files on TruTV and those cases can be just as awful (and real-life, which makes them worse in my mind). The only other person I know who watches this show is my little sister though. Isn't that weird? The show is one of the most popular on tv, but I only know one family member who watches it. : / |
I've just started watching Criminal Minds and I have to say from the few episodes that I have seen it is awesome! I LOVE prentiss! She's such a strong character and she is totally awesome!!!!
I'm still getting to grips with the characters so I can't really comment but from what I have seen Garcia is good when she's in her little computer room since she seems to be a complete techno-nerd. This show, Castle, Bones and NCIS along with Law and Order SVU are my favourite crime shows! Meh, I sometimes have a similar problem about getting people to watch things that I like. For example one of my friends is SUPER squeemish so she refuses to watch Castle and another friend won't watch any of the anime that I like because she is forcing herself not to get sucked into it (which is rather annoying) so yes I know how you feel Cora. |

Garcia is one of my favorites. I absolutely LOVE the Garcia/Morgan Relationship. Although I'm not 100% sure I think it was the actress who plays JJ's choice to leave. Dont quote me though. Prentice is much much MUCH better then Elle was. Although I do seriously miss Giddeon. Mandy Pachinkin(I think I just butchered the spelling of that) is a GREAT actor. I cant say I have a favorite case, Although I have a strong pull towards the one where Giddeon leaves (cause it keeps you on the edge of your seat thinking he shot himself) and the ones leading up to. I also like the one with the guy who kidnaps the kid to take him to the carnival.....but I think thats only cause it takes place in buffalo.....which is close to my home. @Mirani- Techno Geek Garcia is totally the best but it is nice to see her get some face time. I totally would urge you to continue watching the series.....but it does get twisted. Basically its the worse of the worse criminals. |
Well I'm expecting it to get twisted! That's what I'm looking forward to (that probably sounds a little creepy...oh well!) but since I've just gotten into it I'm looking forward to the whole thing! Not sure which series the episodes I'm watching are from but Garcia is still in her little techno lab if that helps. The last episode I watched was about a bank robber that enjoyed humiliating the people in the bank more than the actual money and then after that he went into a cafe or something...I can't quite remember but when I get home today I'll be watching another ep and I am SO looking forward to it! :squee: :eager: :squee:

I'm definitely a Criminal Minds fan! =O <3<3 I really love how much psychology plays into the series, given that I'm very interested in psychology in general (especially personality!) ^^
I don't think people think I'm sick or twisted for watching it though. It's not a really popular show on here, so I guess it's also because people don't know enough about it to pass judgement on it. Whenever I explain it, I just keep it brief, and never really get to mention how demented it can get. xDD;; My favorite episode btw has to be their 100th episode, when Hotch's wife... yeah. >3>;; Such an emotional episode for me! ;o; I really did cry, scream, cheer, and did every other emotionally-charged action out there when I was watching it. It was heart-wrenching; so cruel but so good. xDD;; <3<3 JJ shouldn't have been taken off the show. D: And Prentiss! ;o; I like Garcia, but I don't want her to be the only female lead now. :'< Female powers unite! Lolz. xDD;; I also like the episode Siri mentioned though, about the little girl being kidnapped by the elderly couple. That was directed by Reid's actor? That makes it all the more awesome then. :'D <3<3 I also like that episode when Prentiss and Reid were held hostage together with that religious group (the name escapes me). One, it featured two of my favorite characters, and two, it was nice that they tackled religion, especially about the topic on blind faith. ^^ |
Reid is awesome! How can you NOT love Reid? I've only seen a couple episodes and I already love him! He and Prentis (not compltely sure how to spell her name...) are my favourite characters so far! They are just full of epicness! I love strong female characters but I hate weak, whiney ones that get on everyone's neves.
The psychology is what really gets me in this show since I'm taking psychology in school. It makes it seem more...real to me I guess and it's so interesting! Especially since I REALLY wanna study criminal and/or forensic psychology! Maybe this'll give me a little head start (minus some stuff of course) but I just love it! |
Maybe the psychological aspect is why I love it so much. It really gets inside your mind sometimes....the last episode was a little predictable though....looking forward to this weeks. o.0

It's definitely the psychology that makes the show! I mean, other shows it's just find the evidence, track down the bad guy, cuff him, put him away...blah blah blah (simplifying things here) but with Criminal Minds it actually gets you to try and think how the unsub is thinking and that's really interesting.
Um...what exactly does unsub mean? (I think I'm writing that right...) |

OMR!!!!!!!!!!! I just watched the episodes in Series 2 when Reid gets kidnapped!!!!!! REID IS OFFICIALLY MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER!!!!!!!!!!! When it showed the flashbacks I was just going "awwww!" so many times! Poor Reid!!!!!!!!! That was a really good double episode, definitely my favourite so far!!!!!!! Poor reid, you definately gotta love him. He's so incredibly brilliant and yet there is something so innocent and childlike about reid. Reid, is my favorite. The kidnapping segment was definately a good one o.0

That's what I love about him! He's a genius but at the same time he's just...REID!!!!!!! :heart: :glomp: :heart: I always have a weak spot for characters like Reid. How can you not? Well that and it's WAY cute to pair him with other characters (I am a fangirl...I can't help it!)

I want it every night with my grandma and papa, they love the show I like it too not one of my all time favorites but its great and I enjoy it I like the blone girl that works as a profiler in the office with the computers, shes my favirte :)
I love the cases and the plots. the shows not that twisted I think compated to some of the animes and over shows I watch XD.. but im into that kinda stuff so whatever =P |

Which anime are you referring to? Personally one of the most twisted cases I saw was when Reid was kidnapped but I havne't seen much after that so I might be wrong. Which anime are you referring to? The only one that springs to mind for me is Elfin Leid. |
Criminal Minds is my all time favourite show, I convinced my mum to watch it now it's her favourite show too and I even convinced my dad to start watching it and he hates crime shows xD

Reid is my favourite (I agree, he is VERY cutely awkward and that just makes me love him more) and Hotch (because he is SOOOOOO awesome) and Prentiss is my favourite female character (she is just so in control and tough a great example to follow) I am a dork! It was either last night or the night before but I watched the episode where it is the guy who burns people as a form of revenge. I loved the episode...but I also hated it at the same time because it made me feel bad for a serial killer. Though I thought it was great when he found out that the little boy was his.

Oh, I know which episode you mean! I saw that one last week on Friday night. I know what you mean. It's kinda hard not to feel sorry for the poor guy after what he went through.
I LOVED the ending of that one, remember when Jack dresses up as a Mini-Hotch? It was SOOOOOOOOOOOO adorable!!!!!!!!! Hotch is such a great father!!!!!!!!! |

I'm only on season 6 right now. What happens with Reid? I'm a little confused with the latest ep I watched. It was the one where Reid was getting a lot of headaches and he was sensetive to light and the doctor suggested that it was a psychosomatic cause and not a physical one? Is Reid okay???????????? PLEASE tell me taht Reid is okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
