'Ello Cupcakes

HI!!
My name is Tiffany. I'm an army wife with no kids and a stay at home wife. I'm an absolute bookwork and anime/manga addict :).

My husband and I currently have two pets, a dog named Rindi and a cat named Faira.

If you would like to know anything else please don't hesitate to ask ;).

Codette 12-07-2010 06:07 PM

Welcome Tiffany.
I hope you're having fun with us.

What breed of dog do you have? My family has a Boxer, a Bull Mastiff, a Boston Terrier, and I'm thinking about getting a Borzoi in the next 2 yrs.

PeppermintCharm 12-07-2010 06:11 PM

We have a purebred apple head Chihuahua. My husband wants a Bull Mastiff how are they with other animals smaller than them?

MiriuOniaya 12-07-2010 06:12 PM

Hello Tiffany, I'm Aya. Welcome to Mene! ^w^ I must say I love that shade of pink your using now~

Bookworms unite! lol, I'm also a big reader, and though I've only watched some anime and barely read any manga I am interested in both to a degree and I'm addicted to Asian music. What kind of book genres do you like to read? Rindi and Faira are cool names- I have a dog named Suki! Pets are such great company, no?

I hope you like it here on Menewsha! Not tons of traffic but it's a pretty fun place!

Codette 12-07-2010 06:14 PM

well it depends on the temperament. Ours grew up in a daycare so she's really gentle with kids and small dogs.

I love sci-fi/fantasy books like the vampire diaries series-vampire academy series- wicked lovely series - and so on :) I'm also into asian music as well been listening to alot of SHINee, Super Junior, & SNSD lately :)
Thanks! I chose Faira and my husband named Rindi :) They keep me highly entertained throughout the day :)

That's understandable, Just not sure I want to get a dog that is nearly as tall as I am LOL

Codette 12-07-2010 06:22 PM

yeah I'm 5'3 and her head comes to my waist.

PeppermintCharm 12-07-2010 06:24 PM

yeah I'm only 2" taller than you so I'd probably be dragged around by her lol

MiriuOniaya 12-07-2010 06:28 PM

I'm into fantasy too! Sci-fic, adventure, mystery and a dash of romance! I've been reading a lot of original fiction online lately, but I am reading the first Lord of the Rings book right now, just cause I want to finish it. Oh really?! I love SNSD!! I haven't listened to SHINee a lot but I am somewhat familiar with Super Junior. I really like the collab SJ/SNSD did of Seoul Song.

You said you have an apple head Chihuahua? Suki is a Pomeranian-chihuahua mix! We also have a bull terrier in the house now- she's almost all white with black ears and her owner named her Sugar. I love how playful animals can be, it's so cute & entertaining.

Codette 12-07-2010 06:29 PM

not really, again temperament. Belle is the sweetest creature. She doesn't run off. If you drop her leash on a walk she walks beside you. Our boxer does that too.

The boston is old though and grumpy so she's never content.

I haven't heard Seoul Song I'll have to look it up I personally love SNSD's Run Devil Run <3 I never really had an interest in the LorR series the first movie put me to sleep so I didn't really want to bother with it lol.
Yeah Rindi is a rotten mess - she is a purebred but she has the markings of a rottweiler she is just the cutest thing ever.

True, Rindi will run a little bit ahead of you but every few steps she'll stop and make sure you're still there - she doesn't like being to far away from you lol.

MiriuOniaya 12-07-2010 06:40 PM

It's a good song :'3 Run Devil Run is a pretty popular song of theirs! But I like other stuff from them more. Overall they're an awesome group! I've watched all three of the LotR movies, but they're not something that you can watch often- that's for sure. Aww I bet she's utterly adorable! Have you had her since she was really young? I got Suki when she was about two months...I think it was. Her birthday is June 2nd and she's two years old.

We got her from the breeder when she was 3 weeks old I believe it was... whatever is the earliest that they're allowed to leave their mothers. I have a good friend of mine who breeds and sells them so we got her for a discounted price.
We had thought about breeding her but it's so hard to find a male smaller than she is because she's so tiny.

MiriuOniaya 12-07-2010 06:51 PM

Oh so she was young when you got her! That's good :'3 I was late getting my dog cause I wasn't even looking, but a friend suddenly mentioned she had five puppies and was giving a few away. In the end she kept two (plus the dad) and gave away three. Suki was one of the two females and the smallest.

It's crazy how mixed breed puppies can look so different from each other! Bear looked like a golden retriever, Paco and Peaches are TacoBell dog replicas, and Gizzy looks like a fluffy white pomeranian. I don't think I'll breed, I'm happy with just one- especially since the buller terrier puppy moved in, lol.

Your siggy is SO cute!

PeppermintCharm 12-07-2010 06:54 PM

I only thought of breeding her since she is AKC registered and they usually go for around $800

Thanks I found the pixel on livejournal and added the name too it myself - I have a thing for penguins so her hat just kinda sealed the deal for me <3

MiriuOniaya 12-07-2010 07:01 PM

Wow! Well maybe someday you'll find the right fellow for her :''D The colors are pretty and it's very wintery! Her hat is really sweet~ So how do you like Mene so far? Are you completely new to avatar sites like this?

PeppermintCharm 12-07-2010 07:04 PM

Yeah this is the first - I've been on regular forums before and even run my own even though it's on a bit of a hiatus right now due to things going on IRL.

MiriuOniaya 12-07-2010 07:09 PM

Avatars can be so much fun!! There are some alternatives to Mene, but I like it here best. The life of an army wife: I can't imagine. My father was in the navy and we moved a few times, but nothing complicated. I'm only 21 and single, I live with my family and am on layoff at the moment. OH looking outside: do you live somewhere that gets snow? There is tons of it here ( x wx)

PeppermintCharm 12-07-2010 07:13 PM

I'm 22 and have been married for 4 years, I have to say that I wouldn't trade it for anything lol. All the different places you get to see and the people you get to meet is just amazing. We are currently in Texas and it's still in the 60s here so not much snow anytime soon lol. Though it did snow here last year and the year before so who knows.

MiriuOniaya 12-07-2010 07:22 PM

Some people marry young :'3 One of my friends married and had a baby by choice before she was 19 and she's incredibly happy- and her little girl is precious! I'm just not interested in marrying right now, maybe if I met the right person. Idk. Yeah traveling around has got to be fun in some way ^o^ Have you been out of the U.S? I'm interested in traveling around Europe & Asia! I've never been to Texas, I'm up in Michigan. We get tons of snow every year, I'm not a big fan of winter though.

PeppermintCharm 12-07-2010 07:27 PM

Well before I got married I had traveled a lot - my mom got remarried when I was in 8th grade and moved us from Texas to Connecticut. Then while I was in highschool we traveled to different states for various band competitions {New York, New Jersey, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Florida}. Then after high school I moved back to Texas and got married then moved out to California where he was stationed at the time. Now we are back in Texas.
He on the other hand has been to Iraq, Bosnia, Kuwait, and was stationed in Germany for awhile.

I couldn't handle having kids at 19 I mean I can see why some do it but at 19 heck even at 22 I'm still figuring out who I am much less add a kid into that mix so not for me.

MiriuOniaya 12-07-2010 07:37 PM

So you've been to both coasts! I've never been to the west coast. We went from West Virginia, Virginia, Georgia, Virgina, and landed in Michigan. But we've traveled through most of the east coast, mainly to visit my dad's huge family. Band competitions?! Did you play in high school? I've been to Germany, Austria, Italy and the Czech Republic- I'd love to go to Japan! Yeah I'm definitely not the have-offspring-young type of person. My sister just had a kid and she's 25: I'd prefer that age to 18-21.

PeppermintCharm 12-07-2010 07:41 PM

Yeah I was in Marching Band in high school we were the first out of state band to win New York state band championships. I've never been over seas and barely been out of the states {to Niagra Falls in Canada} well when I'm 25 my husband will 32 so I think we'll be pretty stable by then lol But it all depends on how his surgery goes on Tuesday and weather or not he gets out of the army or stays in.

MiriuOniaya 12-07-2010 08:07 PM

Egah sorry, I disappeared into the kitchen for a bit there. Marching band was my least favorite, but my school was really small and we never did anything really interesting- formation wise. I loved concert band: clarinet! I got lucky to go overseas, it was a senior/junior trip. About 16 of us went in total, counting parents. Surgery? D: I hope it goes well!

PeppermintCharm 12-07-2010 08:26 PM

haha I played clarinet as well ! It's ok I'm going back and forth from cleaning house to talking on here so I'm a bit all over the place lol
