Princess Jellyfish aka Kuragehime
Tsukimi loves jellyfish. She doesn't just love jellyfish, she's a jellyfish otaku and knows everything about them! She lives together with several other Otaku in an apartment building where no men are allowed. Most of them are hardcore fujoshi and NEETs and have a terrible fear of...well, everyone! Hipsters, career women, businessmen. When faced with these horrors, they often turn to stone. But one day, Tsukimi must face down a dreaded hipster in order to save a jellyfish at the pet store. Equally freaked out by the creepy otaku girl, the pet store guy tries to get rid of her until Tsukimi's savior arrives in the package of a stunning and fashionable girl. The jellyfish is saved but the misadventures are just getting started as it turns out that Tsukimi's savior, who stays the night, is really a guy!
I LOVE this anime. It's just so funny. Seeing a bunch of nerdy girl otaku and how they react to the outside world is refreshing. And into this madness walks Kuranosuke and his fashionable crossdressing and it just gets silly. You might be worried that it would turn into a "boy transforms an ugly girl into fashionista" and there is some of that. However it's more like "Boy shows girl that sometimes you just have to dress up to get things done." He's not trying to change her, just help and he just might be falling in love along the way.
The only thing I hate about it is that it's going to be over soon. Only 11 episodes?! That's not enough! *flails* There's a manga as well. I need to start reading it. I need more Princess Jellyfish!
If you're interested, Princess Jellyfish is streaming for free on Funimation.com. :)
Anyway, tell me I'm not the only one to find and love this anime :D
