I love the Sims series, especially the Sims 2 (I love to mod it).
I have all of the expansions apart from Hot Date for the Sims, Nightlife and University (along with a few stuff packs) for the Sims 2 and I recently bought the Sims 3 for the Xbox 360 - I have it for the PC also. I'm genuinely impressed how well they've managed to keep the game intact on a console - far better than those old PS2 ports, although I still think that the Sims in the Sims 3 look a bit like they've been moulded from pudding. I really liked playing Sims 1 and Sims 2. I have not bought Sims 3 though because I now have a netbook that does not have much space on it so until I get a regular laptop or a desktop, I'm not going to be able to buy Sims 3.

I still make mods for the original Sims game

Yes, I know; seriously oldschool.

I had a really bad computer at the time Sims2 came out, and it couldn't run anything so fancy, so I got Complete Collection and then started visiting all the (then many) fansites by people who made their own furniture and skins for the game. I learned how to make a few types of things too and have been doing it ever since.

I have a better computer now, but I have seen reviews of Sims3 and people who like mods don't seem to like it much; too much have-to-do stuff and not enough freedom, or so I am told.

and you? 3, 2, or this crazy dinosaur stuff I'm into?

Holy crap really? Lol I own the original Sims but I hate it with a firey white passion. The graphics kill me with how ugly they are. No lie. I own Sims 2 and Sims 3, though so far I prefer Sims 2 since I am very good at making homes/designing and such.

Yeh, it is pretty weensy. Altho there's a few modded things that will temporarily make your Sim bigger, so if I really need to I use those.

And now, having just read the primer on reports, I'ma go report myself so this gets merged in the bigger Sims thread. ;)

Does anyone else love Sims 3

I bought it and was amused like a 5 year old on christmas morning for about a week and a half, then it got really old and i found out about the mods yu can do on all kinds of video games, i thought it was really cool how you could get a range rover (favorite car) by using helper monkey to conver the mods to the game, and do their eyes all crazy and give them exremely long and pretty supermodel hair that doesnt come with the game, but i know nothing about how to do all that stuff, but i still love the game and how you can get your nails done and have a car and do all the other things yu can do that yu cant in the sims 2 and previous games, Im sooo over the sims 2 now lol, Im trying to seel it so i can get the sims 3 for my xbox, it seems much cooler on xbox in my opinion :) :) :) :)

I miss The Sims so much. I used to have The Sims 2 on my computer, and I was hopelessly addicted to it... Actually, my love for it went beyond addiction. I was flat out OBSESSED, and it was horrible. My computer wasn't able to handle the game, and it glitched up many times. I had to delete it... I was heartbroken, because I had a legacy story that I was writing and the characters felt REAL to me. After that, I wasn't allowed to play anymore. :(

-Jane: I went ahead and merged your Sims 3 thread with our original thread on the Sims. :D

I have Sims 2 for my PS2 and I love~ it. In fact, I played for hours on end when I first got it.
I think what attracts me most to it is all the options. I mean, sometimes it takes me almost an hour just to finish new characters and I only make one or two!
Not to mention, I'm still finding/unlocking new things (locations, characters pulling out escape holes when I keep blocking their path, getting abducted by aliens and only having my character returned when they have to go to work...), but that could be because I keep starting over. XD
