I love almost any kind.
StarBucks is okay but it's a little too bitter for my taste. I love Dutch Hot Chocolate from krogers. |
i like my hot chocolate with cream it make it real smooth and sweet
|
Today I mixed coffee, milk, and chocolate syrup together and heated it up in a microwave. Stirred, then added mini marshmallows. YUM!
|
I drink normal hot chocolate.
I tried it with rum once, and it was... not nice -__-; it tasted funny and burned my throat. (I don't like alcohol, but there's a chocolate mousse pie that I ADORE that has a bit of rum in the recipe, so I thought maybe rum and chocolate were a good match... but, no. I didn't like it xD) I'm interested in trying out coffee since I never have... chocolate + coffee looks good so I think I might start with that xD |
I didn't even know hot chocolate came in different flavors.
I just make the regular kind and put whipped cream on top. xD |
My friend makes this amazing hot chocolate which is more like sipping chocolate than the hot chocolate most people think about. Think about ganache. If you don't know what it is, it's basically dark chocolate melted down with cream, so kinda like a chocolate fondue but not oily. It's rich and heavenly--it's actually what goes inside truffles. Now take the ganache and simmer it with some cinnamon and a chili pepper. Whilst its simmering, thin out with some milk--not too much milk, it's still supposed to be super thick, almost pudding like in texture but not quite as gloppy.
It's wonderful and delicious. ...And now I want some right now but I'm in Hawaii and my friend is in Chicago. TT.TT |
I like to make hot chocolate on the stove with milk. Just add some cocoa, sugar, and vanilla all while mixing until it starts to warm up. Then toss in some chocolate chips to melt into it. Yum. =9
To make it pepperminty, you can just toss in a mint tea bag. Or you can add some cinnamon and other such yummyness, and a bit less cocoa. |
I've added cocoa to peppermint tea before xD looks kind of nasty but it tastes good! i'm considering some hot chocolate now actually! :ninja:

I had to make a decaf mocha before bed tonight. It was pretty much the most awesome thing ever at the time. This was after I walked to the store and back to get ingredients for it which is about a two hour walk each way. I was freezing despite having layers and layers of clothing on but it was either go get food or have no dinner and I can't drive at the moment due to an injury. I put extra chocolate in it and topped it with whipped cream and a cherry.

I really like peppermint hot chocolate. It's soo good and velvety but I also like the kind with small marshmellows it makes the whole thing better.
|
Mmm yes, Mint Hot chocolate with mini Marshmellows... Simply Delicious! <3 |
I like to make my hot coco with hot water, a tiny bit of hazelnut coffee, a dash of hazelnut creamer, and a bit of milk to cool it down. ^_^
Or for just plain packaged coco, I like the kind with loooots of little bunny-shaped marshmallows! |
just plain old hot chocolate with whipcream is my fave! caramel and peppermint is good too C:
|
I do miss my hot chocolate with marshmallows. I can't eat them because they have gelatin in them. When I did eat them though, I used to shove as many in the cup as I could fit then fill the cup with hot chocolate and drink it that way.
|
All this talk about is making me crave peppermint hot chocolate.... or white hot chocolate from Dunkin Donuts.
|
I like hot chocolate with a little bit of whipped cream. Sometimes I like to put marshmallows in too. Although I don't like the marshmallows that come with Swiss Miss.
|
I am not aware of there being a huge verity of flavors, only peppermint for the Holidays which I do not drink because I am not a huge fan of peppermint/mint.
I love it just fine regular with marshmallows. I drink it frequently at work(although they do not have marshmallows). |
I only like the original hot chocolate. Sometimes I like to put marshmallows in the mug. One time I put water instead of milk, and the hot chocolate tasted like water. :C

I like regular hot chocolate. I've been meaning to try Mexican Hot Chocolate. I've heard it has a tad thicker consistency. I may like it but it sounds like it's a bit richer than regular hot chocolate. So I probably won't be able to have more than a small cup or I'll get sick. As for other flavors, I've heard in a cook book that chili powder is good in hot chocolate. I'm not sure, it sounds a little unappetizing to me. I guess people like the combination spicy and sweet flavors. I personally like putting some orange zest in my hot chocolate. I would like to try Raspberry but I'm unsure how to add it to hot chocolate. Another idea is hot white chocolate; I personally don't like white chocolate but for people that do it might be tasty. I'm going to be the devil's advocate and say I don't like mint in hot chocolate. In fact, I can't stand mint, period.
On another note, this topic made me think of a song Hot Chocolate by shonen knife. I think the way they pronounce Hot Chocolate is cute. |
