Okay so I've noticed that a lot of these threads are really serious, and some of them are down right depressing. Not that it's a bad thing to talk about those things, in fact it helps a whole lot with them. However I wanted there to be one that was a bit more lighthearted.

I want you to post the most awesome thing your boyfriend/girlfriend/best friend has ever done for you.

In my case. the girl I've been dating for several months now, just bought me lunch, and pete's coffee, and then, on top of that, she got me an awesome tablet to do digital artwork with, and told me she already bought me the jeopardy game for the wii for my birthday. She did this, knowing that I'm poor and can't really get her much, in return. ...I think this one might really be in love with me or something. ;)

The best thing a boyfriend has ever done for me? I don't actually know, nothing stand out sweet has ever happened to me :( But this is still a cool thread.

Yeah. I had to wait a while to find one like her, but you'll get one eventually. :) trust me. you gotta keep looking though. especially when you're about ti give up. That's when they like to pop into your life.

Ah, I would totally love to have that jeopardy game but i am afraid to ask anyone because i don't want them to think I play lame educational games like jeopardy when I could be shooting things. Eheh.

This thread is about to get all kinds of sickeningly sweet, but we should extend it into what your dream partner would do for you because that would be more fun. Whenever I'm asked about 'dream guys' I usually say 'if anyone took apart a whole pomegranate for me, separating every seed, I would probably marry them.' Because I love pomegranates, and that would take like hours.

My best friend always has been there for me and I think that is more than anyone else could ever do for me. I used to be married to him and even through all that we're still best friends.

A really good friend is hard to find. I'm glad you have one like that. :) I have very few friends, but the one's I have are the kind that would come bail me out of jail at three in the morning on Christmas. lol. I love em. :)

Aww. :) Awesome. I'm going to my girlfriend's house for a Christmas party... her whole family will be there... I'm afraid. lol.

When I went to college away from home, my boyfriend would always call me after he got off work which would be right as I got out of my math class. Even if I had a bad day, listening to him softly go to sleep over the phone would cheer me right up. Then we'd have "Friday Night Skype Dates" where we'd just play video games and enjoy each others faces. xd

Now that we're in the same town again, we sometimes have those Skype dates during the week when we're both too lazy to leave the house.

I'm so glad I started this thread. :) It's a lot of fun. It's nice to hear about good things people have in their lives.

This is only our 2nd Christmas together (march 21st is our 2 yr anni), but my bf will be lucky if he meets my dads side of the family by our 6-7th christmas.... and this is my choice, I don't want him to meet my family... they're evil....

No ones ever really done anything nice for me....
But for my best friend I bought her 18 presents on her 18th. Most home made.

Syra: lol. she thought her family was crazy, and that they would drive me off or something. But I've met a lot of them now, and I like them, and they like me. Maybe you are worrying too much? Maybe not. lol. I don't know your family. But it's never as bad as you think.

East: It's fun to do nice things for your friends. :) My twenty first birthday is Saturday, and my friends have been really awesome. Especially since I'm the first to be twenty one, and they can't exactly take me out drinking or anything.

Hm... sounds like my dad's family. I don't recognize them as being kin, so I won't have to deal with it hopefully. :) And her family is really close too. They have parties, and visit each other. ...My family consists of me and my mom. lol.

Ah. well my mom is/was an only child. I have no aunts or uncles who I associate with.

My best friend looked for 9 hours going all over the city (on a bus) to find me 'the perfect' solstice present.
I don't even care what it is, the fact that she spent so much time and effort looking is what has me so happy.

My absolute favorite thing is when he picks me up and carries me....even though I always protest and tell him that I must be crushing him. He's also very well mannered; he knows these odd gentleman rules from back in the black-and-white movie days...like that a guy should wait for a lady to be seated before he sits down. Half the time I just think he's being weird, cuz I never know what he's doing. xD

The best thing a friend has ever done for me was probably saving my life!

I've known this friend since we were 7 and I am now 23. Back when we were in middle school we actually went to camp together and I think it was a rainy day so it made the stairs on the hill we were staying on slippery. So on that day, I ran down towards the stairs, slipped and fell down the hill. I hung onto the bark of a tree to keep myself from falling any further. The counselors told me to hang on until they got some support but my friend, tiny as she was climbed down the hill and reached and tried her best to pull me up despite putting herself into more danger! And she managed to pull me back upwards to the flat ground.

It was definitely an experience never to be forgotten and I am really thankful for what my friend had done for me. She remains till this day, one of my closest and best friends :)

This girl has actually been a total Godsend. She really rescued me from my depression, and made the whole world lighter. She is wonderful. :)

A guy I was with did something sweet once. I was having a miserable hormonal day, we worked in the same place but on different shifts so he got home before me, by the time I was home he was at the gym. So I got home to an empty house, but found a chocolate bar on my pillow with a little note under it saying "I love you, feel better". Very small gesture. but it made me feel a whole lot better because it was a sweet thing to do.
