Songs that don't ever die.
I have noticed a few songs that never get old for me, and I'm not sure why. They just kinda stick there, and don't go away. So I wondered if anyone else had one or two they never got tired of. here are mine.
500 Miles (I'm gonna be) Land Down Under Hallelujah You Raise Me Up A little less conversation Ring of fire 16 Tons these are just a few to give you an idea. lol. |

I'm so loving this. :) Lots of songs on here, are favorites of mine. Recently I added Teenage Dream to that list, which is weird because I'm a guy. lol. But I don't care. I love that song.

I think Fur Elise, by Beethoven, will never die. People may not recognize the name, but the tune, everyone knows.

I think the song that never ends is a song that will never ever die. Especially when Im going to teach it to my kids when I have them. xD
|
Drac: Oh... Oh god no. why did you mention that song? I will have it stuck in my head for days now. Do you have any idea how irritating that is?... for everyone around me. lol. For me it's fine, but they will probably never forgive you.

1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky
Toreador Song by Bizet Symphonies 5 and 9 by Beethoven William Tell Overture by Rossini You may not recognize all of these titles, but I guarantee you've heard them all at least once and they will never die. |
Also of course any disney song ever. They are just as good now, as when I was four. I love em. :)

DISNEY SONGS AER THE BESTTTTT!! I LOVE LION kING :D
sorry capps lock happy moment there XD And in my opinion anything by Queen is timeless. Freddie Mercury is like my god. |
Oh yes!! He was like the best singer ever. He's who I bring up, whenever someone tries to insult a singer for being gay.

"Songs that never die" is a very broad topic -- theoretically, no songs ever die unless all CD's and tapes and anything involving that song, including knowledge of it, is destroyed.
But I'm going to stop being a smartass and assume that you mean timeless classics that people will listen to way into the future. Yes, I read the first post. In which case, these songs really stick out for me: Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones - Aftermath; 1966 Bad Moon Rising - Creedence Clearwater Revival - Green River; 1968 Sugar Magnolia - The Grateful Dead - American Beauty; 1970 Imagine - John Lennon - Imagine; 1971 Simple Man - Lynyrd Skynyrd - (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd); 1973 Sweet Emotion - Aerosmith - Toys in the Attic; 1975 Fly Like an Eagle - Steve Miller Band - Fly Like an Eagle; 1976 Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Ozz; 1980 Centerfold - The J. Geils Band - Freeze Frame; 1981 Subdivisions - Rush - Signals; 1982 Fade to Black - Metallica - Ride the Lightning; 1984 Brothers in Arms - Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms; 1985 Peace Sells - Megadeth - Peace Sells...but Who's Buying?; 1986 Silent Scream - Slayer - South of Heaven; 1988 Poison - Alice Cooper - Trash; 1989 Silent Lucidity - Queensryche - Empire; 1990 Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine; 1991 Sex Type Thing - Stone Temple Pilots - Core; 1992 I Stay Away - Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies; 1994 Hey Man, Nice Shot - FILTER - Short Bus; 1995 |
I hate to hear anything by justin bebier. I have no idea how to spell his name and i dont really care. I hate all of his stupid songs. They are all superficial and overated. And like all of his songs are like consistendly on everywhere. All of my friends hate his music because its not really music. Hes only popular because girls think hes attractive and they care nothing of his music. Yea they by the compact discs but really its his looks. I hate that. His music is all just electronics. None of it is real talent. and it shouldnt be reconinzed for anything but being really dumb. so yea anything just beaver is just a fate worse than death.

...that has little to do with anything in this thread. Thank you for trying though.
here are some others of mine: "Raise your glass" by Pink "Firework" by Katy Perry "Teenage dream" Katy Perry "Don't give up till it's over" The Dubliners |
Personally, I think that songs get boring because you start to remember the lyrics, beat and tune more - so you get more familiar with it and playing it over starts to well. . . Bore you. :o Recently, I've been starting to listen to songs that are sung in different languages like K-Pop etc. and I've realised that because even though you have no idea what the lyrics are you still like to listen to it 'cause it sounds cool. ^^ I dunno, lol - I'm weird so this probably only happens to me. xD |
Nah. I liked German music before I started learning the language. It's only natural to like what sounds good to you.

For Kita...this is hard to pick, actually, but...Imagine by John Lennon.
Also pretty much everything by Queen, and a lot of stuff by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin. :ninja: And the entire The Wall album by Pink Floyd. |
Uhh, Yellow Submarine, I want to hold your hand, Let it be, Hey Jude. More of the popular ones..
But yeah, almost anything by the Beatles. And probably Cats. Lmao. Or those really cheesy chick flicks songs like A thousand miles by Vanessa Carlton. xD |
Anything Backstreet Boys doesn't ever get old for me. : ) NSync and Britney Spears' old stuff too (the stuff she made more recently I'm not too fond of).
|
Omg Backstreet Boys! XD;;;
Millennium was the first CD I ever owned. I was eleven, but yeah. I still know all the songs. I get teased for it a LOT so my love for them is a bit closeted. :ninja: (I also still have a cover of The Rolling Stone with them on it, in a pink frame. My mom bought it for me when I was like 12. I think they have their pants down...) Edit// They do. :XD http://www.trexle.net/img/posters/263/RS832.jpg I think maybe I was younger than twelve...I dunno I lose track. |
There's a lot of Beatles songs that will never die for me. I suspect that's true for a lot of other folk too, as the Beatles remain so popular.
I had a music box as a kid that played this classical tune. For years I couldn't find it again, and then my friend Bob took out a record from the library that had the Vienna Boys Choir doing it. I taped it off him, but I lost the label for the tape, and then Bob died, so once again the song was a mystery. Finally I put it up on youtube as 'mystery lullaby' and someone finally IDed it for me.
