He smirked at the way he tilted his head. Almost canine like. Of course, he pushed it away since it seemed irrelevant at the time. "What do you do?" he asked, curious to know about what the boy did. But by his facial manners, it seemed he didn't like whatever he did. Maybe he should not have asked. Finishing off the water, he placed the bottle down as Cerberus said something about having always lived in the underworld. And about how it was confining. "Everyone needs a little breather." he agreed. Sometimes it was a longer time away from the place than anticipated.

Xypher almost jumped back upon feeling the warm liquid. He frowned, looking confused as to why the boy snorted. "It's.. Fine?" he asked, wiping himself off. His uniform was now a bit dirty though. So much for cleanliness. He shook his head, grabbing the hand to make him stop cleaning the table. "I'll do it. My job, after all." he said, smirking as he took the napkins away and finished up what little he had missed. "What was so funny?"

Silverbeam 12-30-2010 02:13 AM

"Oh I'm so sorry!" He jumped up grabbing a huge handful of napkins and began giving a pat down to the other man. His face was bright red in embarrassment, almost as deep as the tips of his hair. Even with the large was of napkins, he could feel the firm chest and muscles beneath. He paused in his dabbing blushing for a different reason before continuing.

((sorry it's short, I 'm tired a little lazy and a little frustrated... but also sugar high.... It's okay I don't understand all those emotions either....))

Ascadellia 12-30-2010 02:50 AM

Xypher pulled his hand back from the table as he felt Cerberus try to clean him up. A brief flash of amusement crossed his eyes before he chuckled lowly. "It is fine." he said once again. "It's not so uncommon as you think, spilled drinks." he explained watching his face curiously once he paused. He held still for him even then, curious to see what he'd do. He shook his head though, grasping the boy's wrists gently away, taking the wad of napkins. He'd have to restock the dispenser. "Please, calm down and take a deep breath."

( Oh don't worry about it. <3 I do hope things get better with the BJD though. Silly girl.. x.x )

( Silverbeam: XD Here you go. )

Silverbeam 01-02-2011 05:06 AM

((LOL, that works too))

he took a deep breath and let it out slowly closing his eys while doing so. He looked back up at Xypher before soeaking.

"Sorry, I get excited or upset easily. I've gotten better at controlling, but I still have a way to go." He shrugged sheepishly. Sure he had annoyed or had gotten on the man's bad side. He sighed inwardly. He so wanted to try and be friends or something. He wanted a friend, someone he could talk to , and rely in. Well maybe if he took himself out for a run he would feel better.

He sat back in his chair looking much like a dog who had been yelled at. his shoulders drooped, he looked down biting his lower lip softly.

Ascadellia 01-02-2011 05:18 AM

Xypher smiled, raising an eyebrow as Cerberus tried to calm himself down. It did seem cute, how he acted. It went completely against how he appeared. Then again, he'd learned never to go just by appearances. They tended to be wrong sometimes. Right now however, the way he was pouting was adorable. He acted like a puppy scolded. He reached over and patted Cerberus' head, almost ruffling it playfully without another thought. "No harm done. And you seem in control over it enough." he assured the boy, smirking. "When do you have to be home by?" he asked, remembering that the boy had snuck out. He didn't want to keep him waiting, but he did want to talk some more. Maybe after work or something. Or another day if Cerberus wanted to.

Silverbeam 01-02-2011 05:30 AM

He felt a slight shock of relief as the man reassured him that he hadn't minded. how he hadn't scared this man off was beyond him. Again he wondered from what godly family line he was from. he gave a little smile as he rubbed his head, the dog part of him loved it, and for the moment he didn't go against it. he almost growled when the man mentioned home. He thought that it was more like a prison.

"I'm thinking of staying the night up here. I want to see the stars, and perhaps the sunrise. he old man can just guard the place himself once in a while." the last part he growled out rather like a un-repentant teenager.

Ascadellia 01-02-2011 05:39 AM

He retracted his hand after a moment, placing it on the table once again. He was glad the action hadn't offended the boy. Most wouldn't have liked it. Raising an eyebrow, he had to wonder if his home was so horrible to get that sort of a reaction. "Guard the place? Who is your father, to make you guard something?" His tone carried a mild curiosity. Shaking his head, he offered a smile. "Sorry, if you don't wish to share. If you would like, you could bunk at my place for the night." he offered. He wouldn't need it. Not really, and if the kid was going to stay up there, he needed a place to sleep.

Silverbeam 01-02-2011 06:02 AM

He shook his head. His locks flashing red through the coal black. "Maybe i'll tell you about my father another time, but a bunk for the night would be great! You sure it's okay?" He asked nervously. He couldn't believe he was inviting him over. Maybe he could make a friend after all. He knew his father would be furious for him leaving not just for a few hours but all night, but this was his chance. A chance for a bit of a formal relationship in his life. Perhaps someone he could laugh with, who would offer him equal friendship. not just scolding all the time, or an old bone as the closest to a compliment.

Ascadellia 01-02-2011 06:48 AM

Xypher nodded, accepting that reply. "It's fine. I have enough room. Besides, you won't have to worry about anything happening to you or anyone undesirable popping in. I'm left alone and not needed unless it's to do a job." he said, smiling a little. It would be a nice thing to have someone around. At least until he had to do his job and go into dreams. He was running low on energy, so he would have to leave him unattended for a few hours. Hopefully he wasn't needed for too long. "If you want, meet me back here in a few hours. I doubt you'd have a cell phone."

Silverbeam 01-05-2011 02:27 AM

"Really? That would be great." If he was in his dog form he would be wagging his tail. Maybe sneaking out would be worth hid father's wrath later. He took the last bite of his sandwich eagerly, a little anxious. He gulped it down wondering what to do with his plate, he looked back to Xypher an eyebrow raised in question.

Ascadellia 01-05-2011 07:48 AM

He chuckled softly, nodding. "Yeah. Come back at around six. That's when I get off. Now I have to get back to work, so see you then." he said, smiling. Standing up he grabbed the now empty plate and glanced at Cerberus. He really did seem adorable. Not at all what he had initially thought. Unless he was one of those people with a short fuse. Maybe so. He gave him a small nod. "Xypher Argyros." he said, meaning his own name.

He'd never really given it to him. Mostly because they had ended up talking about completely different things. But, as he didn't have his name tag on him, he decided the boy at least needed to know who he was. He was pretty sure his name had gotten around, among some of the gods. But now he wasn't so sure, having lost touch for a few years with the pantheon.

(Silverbeam: Poke? XD )

Silverbeam 01-13-2011 04:42 AM

((sorry got caught up in projects n being lazy... :D ))

he smiled slightly, wondering what to do in the downtime. He stood up from the table pushing the chair in.

"Xypher...." He searched his memories, he thought he had recognized it from somewhere, but he couldn't place where for the moment.
"It's nice to meet you. Uhm, take care until later?" He said a little nervously.

Ascadellia 01-13-2011 07:42 PM

Xypher smiled, giving him a nod to hopefully reassure him. "Yeah. Take care as well and I'll see you in a few hours. There's a mall not too far from here. Ten minutes walking if you wanted something to do." he offered before waving and turning to go through the door and get back to work.

( lol. It's alright. XD )

Silverbeam 01-13-2011 11:49 PM

He nodded watching Xypher leave to continue working. He let out a sigh of relief when the boy was gone, a small playful smile touching his lips. He felt like he wanted to run around in circles barking... But no that was the dog reaction. The human part wanted to jump up and down. Instead he took the boys advice and went to check out the mall. Perhaps he could find a little gift to bring with him, as a thank you for letting him stay over.

He passed over chocolates, food and flowers, he wanted something that would last, yet of course be nice, without being too much. He paused in front of a little shop that stood in the wide hallways of the mall. It was full of lamps, lanterns and to his surprise, night lights. Somehow the night light seemed to catch his eye. there were ones with little batteries that glowed. The looked like crystals and could be carried around or placed in a pocket. Somehow he just knew he had to get one for the other. He picked up one that was a light lavender and ivory color. Excited he quickly made his purchase. Now free to roam until he could come back to the cafe.

Ascadellia 01-14-2011 05:02 AM

The rest of his shift ran somewhat dully. Xypher had put back his apron on and went to the back to do inventory. Since he had done his turn out in front, all that was left for them to do was count up and run up what they were running low on. It died down once the rush hours had gone as well. As it neared closing time, he grinned lightly, punching out and waved at the last few people. "See you guys tomorrow." he called out somewhat cheerfully. Of course, he worked almost every day. His boss wanted him to take more days off, but he'd have none of that. He never had anything to do in the mornings, and mostly found himself bored to near death.

He took the apron with him, to wash it. Opening the door, he pulled his hair out of the pony tail, letting it hang loosely around a little below his shoulder. He gave a small sigh of relief at being done with the day. Now, onto his real work, and a new guest. Xypher did have to wonder if he had done the smart thing. Hades would be unhappy with him for stealing a boy for a day from his domain, but it didn't seem so bad. If the boy was that important, he doubted he would have made it out this far. He did seem something like a hellhound though. He also had to think about if the boy would run after a ball if he threw it. The thought made a small chuckle come out as he went out of the shop to see if Cerberus was there yet.

Silverbeam 01-16-2011 11:14 PM

He ran, not sure if he was late or not. Although the running was more invigorating than it was tiring. What was a short run for a dog after all? When he had reached the block that the cafe was on, he saw a figure that he was now starting to favor come out of the door. He felt his heart beat faster. Something that the running had not done. He sped up a little more, a small bag in one hand swinging in time to his footsteps.

"Xypher!" He called happily as he came closer, finally coming to a stop in front of the man. He was breathing only a little bit harder than normal, mainly due to his heart beating faster, than the run.

"I'm here." He smiled again. He was finding it easier to be less fiesty and angry around him. Something about him helped to calm him. Perhaps it was the way the man seemed to affect him. Such a short meeting between the two and yet he already seemed to feel an attachment. He wondered briefly if it was a bad thing, but decided to worry about it later.

Ascadellia 01-16-2011 11:42 PM

Xypher didn't wait long before the sound of footsteps reached his ears. He glanced over and smiled at seeing Cerberus. He waited until the boy stopped in front of him. Eyes glancing down toward the bag, he tilted his head before turning his gaze back at the boy. "So you are." he said lightly. "I hope you aren't too tired. I usually walk to and from work. Unless you wish to take a bus?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

His home was farther than the mall but still not too bad of a walk. He never bothered with his car unless it was an hour's drive to get somewhere. Or he needed to get somewhere quickly. "Did you need anything to wear for tonight? Or will you be fine with borrowing something?" He knew he might have been asking a few too many questions, but he felt they might be needed. He wanted to make the stay as comfortable as possible. It had been a while since anyone had slept over. Sometimes he did go and spend the night at someone's place. But that was a different matter all-together.

Silverbeam 01-19-2011 07:03 AM

"Walking is fine. I really like walks actually." He winced slightly after he said that. It was true, but still it made him sound more of a dog than ever. Oh! I should have picked something up. I didn't even think about it. uhm, whatever is easier for you." he responded a bit sheepishly. ((Everything should be dirty except for something a little risque in his wardrobe for him to wear! That would be hilarious)) He gripped the bag tightly in his nervousness. Somehow it seemed like it was vital for this man to like him, and for himself to look good. He wondered if he should give the gift now or.... Later, he decided, when they were at his living space.

Ascadellia 01-19-2011 07:23 AM

(( *laughs* Oh gosh, short shorts and a tank top type of thing? XD ))

Xypher smiled, nodding. "That's good. I normally walk around." he commented as they walked. He made sure he didn't go too fast for him. The last thing he wanted was to lose him or something at night. The street lamps were already lit and less people around as the sky grew darker. Nice that it had a breeze though. Made it a bit better. At the mention that Cerberus didn't have any other clothes, he shook his head. "No worries. I'll have something around in my room for you." he assured him, glancing down at the boy. He again, wished to ask about the bag. He kept quiet though, figuring it was something personal. "What are you?" he asked, tilting his head as he kept walking, only having to stop for a light to change for them to cross to the other street.

Silverbeam 03-23-2011 10:20 PM

((yeah or something...slinky...ROFL!!!!!))

"That would be nice, if it isn't too much trouble." he walked beside the man, easily keeping up with him. e could go much faster if needed, and not break a sweat. Speed walking had nothing on him. he reveled in the cooling air, smells drifitng upon the wind. So different the brimstone death and sweat that he was used to. Trash, dirt, bodies, metal.... so caught up he missed the mans question.

"Sorry what was that?" He asked apologetic.

Ascadellia 03-23-2011 10:28 PM

Xypher nodded a little. "No trouble at all." He was glad that the boy was able to keep up with him. Not really slow like some other people. He smiled and kept his eyes on him. "I asked what you were." he said simply. "Your scent isn't human, obviously. So, was wondering what you were." he explained. Once the light changed for them to walk again, he moved ahead at a slightly faster and more normal pace for him. He did figure that if they were going to be sleeping in the same house for a few days, or the day, he wanted to know who his guest was.

( Slinky slinky.. *goes to look* XD )

Silverbeam 03-23-2011 10:39 PM

((ROFL!!!! Ah I had forgotten how much fun it was to rp with ya.))

"Oh uhm, I'm kinda like a demon hound.... I guess." He answered a bit embarrassed. He wondered if being a dog would throw him off. he hoped not and found himself gripping the handles of his bag again. A demon hound was a type of underworld denizen that could transform into a ferocious dog, with powers of the underworld. They were usually guards and cousins to cerberus, cerberus being the lead demon dog. He was good with dogs suffice it to say. Since he was mainly in that form, it was hard to throw off the natural reflex of the animal. Although he was finding he was much better than when he first walked into the cafe.

"Is that okay?" He asked timidly. Timid, his Father would have been furious to see him act this way. Again there was something about the other that he really just wanted to submit to.... he supposed it was his desperation to have a real friend.

Ascadellia 03-23-2011 10:56 PM

Xypher grinned lightly. "Knew you were something of a canine." he said, confirming it. It was good to know that his senses were not that far off. Made him feel like he wasn't losing it completely or becoming more human. He grew slightly confused at his question. Cerberus was actually asking him if it was okay being a demon hound. Normally they'd be vicious or rather uncooperative. Not timid and complacent. It was almost cute. Xypher gave him a reassuring smile. "You needn't ask that. I am fine with whatever you are. So long as you don't rip up my couch or bed." he said, winking.

( lmao, yay then. XD Missed rping with you too. <3 'd say the slinkiest thing he'd have was lingerie buuut, not sure if he'd offer That to the poor boy. Probably make him die from embarrassment. XD )
I

Silverbeam 03-24-2011 03:29 AM

Inwardly he sighed, outside he grinned. "Don't worry I'm house trained." He joked. his fears seem to fly out of him then. He relaxed and walked closer to Xypher. he had a strange urge to take the other's hand. This he of course did not do, but he wondered at his emotions. Did friends hold hands? Relations were something of a mystery to him. He rarely socialized in a common setting, even with his family.

"How much farther?" he asked curiously. he wondered what the place looked like, and what they would do? What did new friends do? He was up for trying anything though, he just wanted to have fun and get closer to Xypher.

((It's our right as evil role players and writers to torture our characters so I say we make him wear lingerie! Mwahahaaaa maybe something like this.... http://2.imimg.com/data2/VQ/XR/IMFCP...01-250x250.jpg ))

Ascadellia 03-24-2011 03:46 AM

Xypher smiled. "Good, was worried if I had to put plastic over the furniture." he teased before he pointed ahead, to a decent sized two floor house. It was on a higher end of the city, so the location was nice. "It's there." he said, smirking. He was rather happy about the house. Not too flashy and decent enough for him to live in. The inside was even better, as it had more of the old Grecian decor along with modern items. As they neared it, he smirked. "Race ya to the front." he said before taking a running start to the door. It was slightly childish on his part, but he did feel a bit more relaxed around the boy.

( *bursts out laughing* Oh gosh!! That's so cruel. XD;; How the heck will Xypher even give it to him? XDD )
