✖ The gist of it
Ok, here’s how this is going to work. Since the event will be going on for about 12 days, half will be dividing into the “Pokemon Catching” session while the other half will become the “Trainer Battling” session. You can only join as a pokemon trainer during the first half. I will not be accepting new trainers during the second half of the game because it complicates things and I hate keeping track. I will post how long before the “Pokemon Catching” session ends, so be alert. Since I am documenting everything to avoid confusion, if you want to become a pokemon trainer, you must first PM ME SAYING: Quote:

In this case, you would choose a number between 1 and 10 in order to get the pokemon, like so: Quote:
Remember, YOU CAN ONLY CARRY SIX POKEMON AT A TIME. This is especially important during the pokemon battling session of this event. If you would like to switch pokemons, pm me, and I will give you a list of the pokemon you have already caught so you can decide which ones you would like in your party. Think of me as your PC. And there you have it. That’s how you catch pokemon. Now know this, the requirements for catching pokemon can change at any time, from using dice rolls to answering questions. Please don’t be a poor sport if you don’t get to catch a pokemon. You will get MANY opportunities. |
✖ Games & Rare Candy
How do you raise pokemon in this thread? Easy. Through rare candies. For those of you who aren’t familiar with them, they raise your pokemon’s level by 1 per candy. The only way you can obtain rare candies is through playing games, or finding them on the ground, like so: Quote:

✖ How to level your pokemon.
The only way to level up your pokemon is through battling or rare candies, which up a pokemon's level by 1. Like the pokemon games, pokemon will only evolve when they reach the right level. For example, after receiving any amount of rare candies, simply pm me with: Quote:

✖ Evolving your pokemon
We'll talk about level evolving for now. When your pokemon has reached the required level (as seen in the games), your pokemon will evolve, ie, Bulbasaur will evolve at level 16, Magikarp will evolve at level 20, etc. Let's say you send me a pm regarding leveling up your pokemon: Quote:

Have a pokemon that you can’t evolve using rare candies? Evolve it during the evolving event! Now, due to my several statements regarding how this event is going to work, I’m going to be extremely strict with those that don’t follow the rules. Consequently, those that fail to understand the procedure will not be able to evolve their pokemon. This event will last from 2:00 PM PST – 2:45 PM PST, and from 7:40 PM PST – 8:30 PM PST, meaning that the evolving event will occur twice today. First, to evolve your pokemon, fill out this form and PM it to me: FILL OUT THIS FORM SEPARATELY FOR EVERY POKEMON YOU NEED TO EVOLVE, BUT SEND IT ALL IN ONE PM! Quote:

Make sure everything is filled out, because I am only accepting ONE FORM PER TRAINER If the form isn’t filled out, I’m sorry, but your pokemon will not be able to evolve and you will have to wait for the next event. Luckily, this event is occurring today twice, so if your pokemon happens to not evolve during the first portion of the event today, you may try again during the second half. Also, if trainers request that I evolve pokemon like Squirtle or Gastly that require rare candies to evolve, I’m voiding his/her evolving request entirely. After the evolving event ends, I will look over everything, and post which pokemon evolves in the thread. If you do not see your pokemon, you have made error(s) with the form and your pokemon have not evolved. |
✖ Battle List
For the battling session of this event, you will be facing generated trainers. To try to make sure that every trainer gets a chance at battling, I’ve divided everyone participating into three levels. Trainers may only battle generated trainers at their level. To determine this, I’ve averaged the levels of each trainers’ pokemon. Level 1 consists of: Quote:

Here’s how battling works.
A trainer will appear like so: Quote:
Trainers will then roll accordingly. The first person to roll the correct number will engage in battle. After I see that the number has been rolled, I will post this: Quote:
A trainer will automatically beat the generated trainer’s pokemon that was sent out if the pokemon is at least 3 levels higher than the generated pokemon’s trainer. Basically, you just need to post the pokemon you sent out after quoting the generated trainer post, and declare an attack that works with the pokemon you sent out For example: Quote:
For a battle to be valid, you MUST declare a pokemon attack and it has to be compatible with that pokemon So, if you did post "Squirtle, use Water Gun!" and your Squirtle is at least level 28 or higher, you win, and I will post: Quote:

So, if Absol is from levels 26 to 30, it wins. If you sent out a Fighting-pokemon that is level 30, because it falls under the +2/-2 range, Gardevoir would win. Quote:
