The Devil's Crown Arena OOC (Open!)

Here be the Devil's Crown Arena. It's said that he, ruler of all Hell and Damnation, comes to watch the battles that take place here. But no one has ever seen him. Only heard of his comings and goings.
If you are here in this arena, you are either here to watch the sport, or you are the sport. Most that fight in the arena don't make it one battle. But if you really do want to live, and you really do believe there is such a thing as freedom, you may just live long enough to fight again.
So, welcome, humans, demons, devils, and those unlucky angels that have been caught and captured. Fight, battle, live, survive. And just maybe, you'll win your freedom...


The arena is simple. it's a large domed building in Hell, that on the outside, looks like a horned skull wearing a black crown. On the inside, it has three main arenas that the customers can see. Around each arena is about three-thousand seats. The arenas themselves can shift and change in size, shape, and terrain depending on the battle. On default, the arenas are round in shape.
Below the main arenas are the training rooms, personal arena's, rooms, and showers. The training rooms are filled with all the training equipment anyone would need to prepare themselves for their upcoming battles. The personal arenas are where fighters settle disputes among themselves without having to wait for it to be their turns to fight one another on the main arenas above. These small arenas are simple twenty-by-twenty rooms with one door on each wall. The rooms are much like dungeon cells, but there are no locks or guards. Each cell fits three people and the number of cells will grow to the number of occupants the arena has. The showers are small cubicles with one shower head each. Only cold water flows from these showers. Sometimes that's good. Sometimes bad.
Now, the arena has no guards. Many think that to be stupid, but in fact, it's helpful. The arena has no guards because one, they can get bribed, and two, they're not needed. Each fighter in the arena is tattooed with the mark of the arena. This tattoo ensures that all the fighters cannot leave the arena. The moment they step outside of the arena doors, the tattoo teleports them back inside to the training rooms.

  1. Follow Mene TOS.
  2. No god-modding!
  3. If you no longer find interest in the RP, please don't just leave. Stay just long enough to kill your character in battle.
  4. Romance is always welcome in dark places, but keep it PG-13.
  5. No killing another person's OC unless they want that OC to die.
  6. If you have any questions, feel free to post them in this thread.
  7. When using OOC in the RP thread, use "( )", "[ ]", etc.
  8. Try to be as literate as you can. The more words in your post, the more gold!
  9. PM me your profiles. Do not post them in the thread.

How to fight!

Alright. Given that this is a fighting RP. I've decided to use the new dice thing that was made. Cool, yah? Everything you have to work for and against you had a d12. That's it. No other numbers. Just d12. For example:

Disadvantages: Water, human hearing, long hair, weak upper body strength, easily bruised, reacts loudly to pain, and lacks self-confidence because of her appearance.
Weapon: Dragon bone staff with firestone core
Past: Madaline was born an Albino. White with red eyes. From the first time anyone in Hell set eyes on her, she was shunned. What pure-blood Devil would be born white as snow? What curse was this that was set upon this high-class family? And the father... Who was he? No one knew. And now, no one cared. They didn't want to ever know what fathered this white abomination. But there were rumors that the mother had slept with The Devil, lord and king of all Hell and Damnation, not long before the child was conceived. But these rumors were killed as soon as they started. The Devil would never sire a white thing like this. Not possible. Not true.
Madaline was sent to The Devil's Crown Arena the moment her mother could get up out of her maternity bed. The mother decided that Madaline would have the arena's mark tattooed as large as it could upon the newborn's back. And with that tattoo, the mother placed a curse. What the curse was, no one knows. But it was enough to drain the mother of near all her strength.
From there, Madaline was given her name by one of the Dukes of Hell: Syvious. He showed interest in the child and he was the one who cared for her until she was strong and capable enough to fight in the arena. After that, he never saw her again.
Madaline was hoped to be killed in the arena, but if anything, she did better than everyone else. She fought like there was no tomorrow. And this was the truth. It was kill or be killed. Live or die. Your choice. Every battle she won with her life. It was either a draw, time run out, or Madaline covered in the red blood of her enemies. She gained her first arena name on her first battle. The White Devil. Her second name was given to her when she found out about her ability to breath white fire. That was when she got her staff with the firestone core and used it like a the burning staffs real fire dancers used. Over time she gained the other two names, but those were not as strongly or widely used.
Madaline has often dreamed of winning one day and being set free into the realms of Hell to do as she pleased. She had heard rumors of few fighting long enough to achieve that goal, but those were only rumors. And Madaline had nowhere else to go. The arena was her home. And the mark on her back showed clearly that the arena was where she should stay. There was no getting rid of it. And even if she did get free, the Demons and Devil's of Hell would forever hate her because of her skin. There was no place for her in the entire world. Hell would shun her. Heaven would smite her. Earth would fear her. And there was nowhere death would lead her other than right back to Hell. And the arena.
Appearance: 5'7'' with a more or less slender structure. She has very powerful-looking legs while still keeping her feminine looks. She has white skin, but it's usually stained a bit pink from the blood of her opponents and/or tinged blue and purple from her varies bruises. Waist-length white-blond hair that curls into lots of tiny ringlets. She had gray horns that curve back slightly to the back of her head to come back and almost tuck under slightly pointed ears. She has red-pink eyes, a regal-looking nose, and sharp canines. Her legs are long and look much like normal devil legs. But instead of hooves, she had two-toed feet. Long tail with spade-heart tip. On her back, she bears the mark of the arena. Reference for tattoo. Reference for whole body.

Appearance: With sun bronzed skin and fierce blue eyes she is like an amazon who will never give up.She wears a corset of armor with a blue tank top beneath it.Drusilla prefers the mobility her dark brown breeches afford her to anything else and her black boots protect her feet and lower calves quite well.She wears her honey blond hair in a long braid with a spiked leather band woven trough it.On her right forearm is the crown's mark.

Past: Many years ago Azra killed the wrong demon and landed herself in the arena where she has been fighting ever since. She soon made her way up to the top of the ranks and has been there since along with Madaline. When she fights she is a blur of death and ruthless. Azra is not one to mess with, she's crazy and completely evil. If she like's you then she'll be kind of nice. Just watch out and don't piss her off. She use to be an assassin.
Appearance: Azra is about 6' 1" and is quite slender but is curvy where it counts. Her skin is honey-kissed. She has long wavy hair that is a fiery red, it comes to her mid waist. Azra's eyes are a vibrant green with black flecks through out the color. That is her human form, when she "turns" harpy sharp long nails slide out from her finger tips. The black flecks in her eyes bleed into the green making her eyes completely black. When she want's she can make her wings come out of slits hidden in her back. They both are black and feel leathery. On her leg she bares the mark of the arena. It's on her thigh.

This caused their family to lose face. A family whose blood-line was pure going back for hundreds of generations, being shamed by a false, half-breed heir? It was nearly unheard of!
So Ari'anthinen was handed down to distant relative after distant relative, her mother replaced by a new Earth demoness. It was on her 95th birthday that the relative that she had been living with, an extremely distant cousin who was already grown with children, shoved her off to the Arena, saying that she could only restore her family's honour by fighting (or dying, she didn't specify which). And so Ari'anthinen 'Ariana', former Deidreville, was stuck in the Arena.
And she was greeted in her first battle by jeering crowds, earning her first name, soon replaced by her second which was soon replaced by her third..
Appearance: Ari'anthinen has short, dyed purple hair which she cuts by her own hand. She has oddly yellow eyes, her left set just a few milimeters above her right. Tan horns which curve in slightly, protecting her face, have tips that point slightly to the outside. Her skin is pale with a slight tan undertone, her lip colour is covered up by purple lipstick and/or lip gloss. Ari'anthinen wears a thick black collar with a large bell attached, a tight-fitting black tank-top cut just below her breasts, loose black shorts that 'flow', gladiator shoes, also black. A black armband with a yellow buckle is on her left arm, and her 6" arena tattoo is displayed on her outside upper arm. Meet Ari'anthinen 'Ariana' 'Former' Deidreville.

Life on Earth: Alana was a normal kid once. She did thing that normal kids did. Till her family was killed. She was okay for a few months till her killer drove her crazy. It was in a single moment she snapped and grabbed her fathers twin dagger,and killed everyone in the mans house. The man shot her before he died, and that's how Alana landed herself in hell. She has an innocent look, because she is mostly innocent.
Why in Hell: She killed a family of five with out remorse. The children where all small. In her defense though then man did kill her mother and father.
Appearance: Alana is only five one at the most. Most people can't tell her age, she looks young but has gray hair. She looks really sweet, but has a split personality. She has big brown eyes and beutiful skin.Her mark is on her arm, She didn't know what it was for a long time till she saw everyone else had the same mark.Alana doesn't mind fighting for her life, in fact she kinda likes it.
