Sashi stood just in the door way of her school building. it was raining pretty hard and she had forgotten her umbrella at home. She sighed and braced her self for the cold wett-ness as she ran out into the school parking lot. it wasn't a very large parking lot she was soon out onto the sidewalk from there it was just a short wet ways till she sliped into the allyway. that served as a short cut to her house

Talbot leapt down into the alley from a nearby windowsil. He shook his fur felling very uncomfortable in the rain. He cursed, not for the first time, his inability to hold an umbrella. Spotting a nearby mouse foraging in the trash he made an attempt at it and missed horribly. As his prey ran off he was about to give chase when a girl appeared in the alleyway distracting him.

Sashi was running blind at this point, the rain had gotten into her eyes she tryed to whip it away and in doing so almost triped over a rain suddon cat. she looked down at it when she gt the water out. she smiled at it " aww hello would you like to come home with me?" she asked it as she kneeled down to be more on its level with it

Talbot watched as the girl walked straight towards him and realized just in time that she hadn't seen him. Taking a few steps at the last second he managed to get out of her way for the most bit. When she fell and then turned and addressed him Talbot could only look at her for a moment in confusion. If it weren't for her kneeling down to his level he would have sworn she was talking to someone else. Most humans would have kept on walking. Realizing what she was asking and getting over his shock he gave her a small mewl and licked the closest part of her to him.

She smiled and picked him up, hunching over him a bit to try to shelter the cat from the rain. she left the allyway and crossed the street to her little house. she unlocked the door then set the cat down inside. she went up stairs to her room to change out of ehr wet cloths before looking after the wet cat

Talbot shook his fur until it was as dry as it was going to get for the moment. He watched as the girl dissapeared behind a door most likely to change and dry off. While she was away Talbot figured he might as well explore and make himself cofortable. After all he didn't get to be in such luxury often and who knew how long it would last? With a second thought Talbot headed for the kitchen and got into the first package of food he could open.

Sashi came back down in a baggy sweat shirt and jeans. she found him in the kitchen eating some rotten fish. " aww no kitty here I'll fix you something good to eat" she said taking the fish away from him. she then got out some cream she set some in a dish for him while she made him some unrotten fish

Talbot really couldn't believe his luck when the girl reappeared and instead of getting mad at him she gave him better food. He meowed happily at her before drinking the cream in delight. His good mood only increased as the scent of cooking fish filled the air.

'She couldn't be making that for me could she?' Talbot thought to himself before deciding that a little encouragement couldn't hurt the situation any. Mimicing what he'd seen real cats do Talbot purred and rubbed against her leg. If things continued maybe she'd take him in permanently.

Sashi smiled " so now I have to think of a name for you" she said as she bent down to scratch his ear a bit. she took the fish off the stove and set it aside to cool down before she gave it to him

'A name for me?' Talbot thought. 'If she's naming me she might be keeping me.' He meowed at her again to show his agreement. All he needed now was for her to confirm it. He took a few steps away from her and gave her the cutest expression he could muster while keeping his excitment under wraps least he blow his cover.

Sashi chuckled and gave him the now cooled fish. " hum...mabey hurmen?" she asked mainly her self talking out loud to her new pet

Talbot began eating the fish as Sashi thought. As she uttered the name she'd chosen for him as her pet the spell broke and Talbot sat before her in his human form. Upon noticing the transformation Talbot wiggled his thumbs before picking the fish up with his hands and smiling.

"I'm not a big fan of Hurmen. I like Talbot a lot better thanks." He said taking a bite out of the fish. "You have now idea how much easier thumbs make eating."

She screamed when suddenly the cat was a human looking male sitting naked on top of her kitchen table. she threw the frying pan at him and made a run for it

Talbot almost dodged the frying pan but the handle hit him on the forehead and caused him to fall off the table. Rubbing his head he got up and followed the girl.

"What's with the violence? You didn't have to throw things at me! Besides since you broke my curse I might as well do something nice for you." Talbot called after her.

She ran out of the house " stay away from me" she yelled clearly she was terrfyed of what just happined in her kitchen

Talbot followed her outside until she told him to stay away. He sighed not really wishing to deal with this after getting his body back for the first time in centuaries.

"Fine if that's what you want I'll leave you alone. If you need me I'll be in there." Talbot turned around and went back into the house closing the door behind him. Once inside he went back to eating the fish and thought about what he'd do next with his regained freedom.

she paced about her own front yard before getting angry and confused she went back inside " just what in hell just happened you where cute a kitty now your man what the hell?" she yelled wanting answers

Talbot looked up in surprise when the girl reappeared and started yelling at him. He could have sworn she said she wanted to be alone.

"Well a long time ago I made someone powerful very angry so they cursed me. I was stuck as the ultimate symbol of bad luck, a black cat, and could only change back if someone showed me kindness and took me in. You did that and now I'm back to normal. Thanks." Talbot said with a smile. "You know before I go I'll do you a favor or two in return. Whatever you want."

She rose an eyebrow " that's impossbile ...in fact this hole situation is impossible so now I have to belive it" she muttered mainly to her self. she sighed " well when you ;eave what are you going to do?" she asked sitting down.

Talbot looked at her and shrugged. He thought a little while more before settling on his answer.

"I don't know yet, to tell you the truth. My comrades probably think I'm dead and I'm not quite sure how to get in contact with them these days. I'll think of something though."

She sighed " go upstairs and at least get dressed" she said as she remebered he was still naked. " the frist door on the left is the quest room there is extra cloths in there" she told him

Talbot staired at her confused for a second before realizing what she meant. He looked down at himself and shrugged before getting up.

"Sorry, I've spent so much time as a cat I got used to not wearing anything. It also seems humans are still squeemish about being naked as well. All the years go by and your kind is still awkward with the subject." Talbot said as he went upstairs to find the formetioned clothes.

Sashi sighed and rose she picked the frying pan up and started to clean up a bit around the kitchen. when she was done she made some instant noddles and settled infront of the tv to try and figure out what she was going to do

Talbot spent quite a bit of time figuring out the modern clothes and how they should be worn. Once he thought he'd figured it out he put on a pair of loose fitting jeans and an open button up shirt. After so many years being a cat clothes just felt too restrictive. Making his way back down stairs he paused upon seeing the television.

"What's that?" He asked staring at with his head slightly tilted to the right.

She rose an eyebrow " its a tv" she said lightly surly he was jesting I mean he's been arond all this time albet as a cat but still
