Yes, Leviathan. It's very neat. I think the next book comes out this summer?

monstahh` 01-10-2011 02:55 AM

I read a book semi-recently called Leviathan too, but it was by Scott Westerfeld.
It was really good. I heard there's another out/coming out.

PapillonCameo 01-10-2011 02:58 AM

I'll have to look it up,sounds very good.

That's who the other is.. did i say a different author?

fairywaif 01-10-2011 03:01 AM

I think it was my fault! I've been reading a lot of both lately.

PapillonCameo 01-10-2011 03:06 AM

Has anyone here read any of the Dragonlance novels?Other then me that is..

Shadami 01-10-2011 03:06 AM

YES!!!!

PapillonCameo 01-10-2011 03:07 AM

I can't help but like Raist, even tough he turns into this evil mage. He's my favorite character actually, now that I think about it.What about you?

Roxxxy 01-10-2011 03:08 AM

Richard Preston writes fiction and non-fiction books, mostly about viruses. His most popular book was a non-fiction work called "the Hot Zone". It was about the Ebola virus, and its AWESOME!!
It's the reason why I changed my major to microbiology

I saw some other name and just assumed.../wasn't reading thoroughly.

I like a lot of his work, but I can thoroughly say that his Midnighter books...are borderline awful & twifaggoty.

Shadami 01-10-2011 03:11 AM

Raist is wonderful in a way. But Tasslehoff and Fizban are by far my favorite chracters.

PapillonCameo 01-10-2011 03:14 AM

@Roxxy-Look up the guy who wrote Jurassic Park(the book) you might like The Swarm ,at least that's what I think the title is!

@Shadami-Tass is HILARIOUS! No one ever believes his stories, even if they're true...

Shadami 01-10-2011 03:16 AM

@Cameo

I have like... 12 books by that author (jurassic park) sitting on my bookhelf right now.. i think the swarm is in them. xD I'm on a book reading frenzy at the moment, reading and than donating my books to places that need them. I'm trying to hook up with one of the programs that will donate/take them to schools in other countries that don't have that many books.

Roxxxy 01-10-2011 03:18 AM

Papi: I will :D
I'm gonna poof for at least a little while. Bye-byes :)

Shadami 01-10-2011 03:18 AM

Bye Roxxy, have fun =]

I'm off to draw more pokemon for my pinata thread. ^-^ Though I'll still be checking in to continue chatting.

PapillonCameo 01-10-2011 03:20 AM

Bye guys! For now anyway.

Shadami 01-10-2011 03:23 AM

oh i'm still mostly here. I'm really blind right now... so its hard to draw. xD

Suona 01-10-2011 03:26 AM

I've been drawing a bit. There's a character of mine that I just suddenly wanted to draw out in a certain pose, and set out on a mission the night before last to get it sketched out. lol Did the pose and did a big sketch of his face, but didn't get around to adding any detail.

PapillonCameo 01-10-2011 03:26 AM

That's no fun! I'm trying to find new authors that are good! So hard right now with the boom in easy reading ,popularity seeking young adult fiction.I'm not saying they aren't good books, just not what I want to read right now.

Shadami 01-10-2011 03:35 AM

Have you read Ender's game? i thought it was fantastic, and i only read it recently, So i'm not sure what it would be considered other than sci-fi.

fairywaif 01-10-2011 03:38 AM

I love Ender's Game. You should read Ender's Shadow too, which is about Bean.

PapillonCameo 01-10-2011 03:42 AM

I still need to read all the books of that series..

You and me both.
I tend toward sci-fi/fantasy, and I've got a wishlist of books that is worth a total of almost $1.5k US.

The trouble is not having enough money for it all, and in some cases, having to wait until they're published.
