Dustan looked up at the sky, as the sun rose. It was his mortal enemy. The heat and brightness always sapped away his energy, as it did all of his people. Standing on the hill as his people marched back from the battles against the nekos his heart nearly shattered. What if his little Jordan had fallen in the fray? What if she had fought against them? Shaking his head he closed his eyes as he trotted back into his ranks of men. Being a general, he needed to keep his head level... And keep his secret passions a secret until he died. Something that would mark him as a traitor if someone revealed his secret to his peopple. As he entered the dark forest of eternal night he looked back behind him once more, only a hour, and then he would see her again...

Jorden drew close the cloak she wore and stayed in the darkness. She needed to get out of here before they dragged her into this. She had barley managed to get out of here and stay out of the army. But with the war it was hard and she had to sneak around just to stay out of everything. As she thought of the war she thought of Dustan and wished she could go to him. Yet she couldn't. She had to get away, the secret she knew she had to keep to herself. If her people knew about this then they would destroy everything she knew and held close. She couldn't have that, she never wanted that. She crept threw the trees and started to head away from them all, heading towards a completely new place.

Dustan was about to enter the city when he detected a presence he knew and loved. Telling one of his men, he would tak the shift, he hurried out of there. Emerging from the hidden cave, he walked swiflty, his double swords hung on his hips. His white hair seemed to glow as he hurried threw the forest. Then seeing those familar ears he ran towards her, and wrapped his arms around her. "Why didn't you contact me? were you trying to surprise me?" he asked softly and looked down at her with care.

Jordens ears flickered when she heard something and when she felt the arms around her she nearly screamed. but then a familiar smell filled her nose and when she heard that voice she smiled. She looked up at him and smiled, "sorry but a few things came up." she said softly and was glad to be here with him now. "A few things have happened since I saw you last." she said and buried her face into his chest.

Lookinhg down at Jordan surprised Dustan held her close. He ran a soothing hand threw her hair as she burried her head against his chest. He then frowned hearing things had changed. He was shocked by this and his thoughts flickered to the worst. She either found someone else... OR she had been found out about their secret meetings. "Can you tell me what has changed?" he asked softly and looked down at her as he continued to stroke her hair.

Jorden stayed close and smiled when she felt a hand run down her hair. It soothed her and she breathed in his sent. She then looked up at him and sadly shook her head. "many things, but right now I have to go. I have to get away. If someone finds out what I know it could mean the end.." she said softly and stayed close to him. She didn't know why she had been chosen to bare this. It was hard and she knew she had to leave everyone to the war while she ran. But if she was captured or killed it could mean the end. She had to keep this secret and wished she didnt have to.

Dustan looked down at her shocked hearing her words. "You are running?" he whispered and closed his eyes. His mind moved fast as he thought this over. If she ran she could get in major danger if she wasn't careful. Knowing this he nodded and looked down at her. "I will hide you here tonight... And then together we shall go." he whispered knowing that his heart wasn't strong enough to watch her leave him behind like this.

Jorden looked up at him and nodded. She wrapped her arms around him and stayed close to him. The thought of leaving him and never seeing him again was somethint she couldn't bare. She was glad he was going to come with her and she got up on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek gently and then his lips, "thank you." she said softly and knew that he would get in trouble if any of the other elves knew about this.

Smiling softly Dustan accepted her kisses, and kissed her back loving her taste. He had fallen head over heals for this adorable little neko, and he couldn't take the thought of her in danger. He then smiled down at her as she pulled away and stroked her cheek. "its nothing... Now, follow me..." he said softly and took her hand in his as he slowly led her threw the woods towards his little secret hide out. No one would find her there.

Jorden smiled when she felt him kiss back and remembered the day that she first layed eyes on him. she'd been afraid at first but then slowly she started to fall in love with him. She leaned into his touch and then followed him threw the forest. She wished things could of been different between there kind but at least they where together now. She saw the hideout and smiled, she had only been here once before and that had been the day she accidently stumbled upon it.

Smiling at Jordan Dustan gently picked her up and then climbed into the tree. "I believe you remeber this." he said softly and then entered the huge tree house. Setting her down he sat on the floor and smiled up at her. "I would stay the night with you, but people would worry about my wearabouts." he said smoothly and then ran a hand thew his hair. "I will meet you tommorrow, at twilight. And then we shall sneak away." he said softly and blushed slighty, the purple on his grey cheeks clear. "You look beautiful in the light." he whispered, voicing his thoughts on how angelic she looked.

Jorden smiled when he picked her up and rested her head against his shoulder. "of course I remember, this is where i met you." she said to him softly and then looked at him as he sat down next to her. "yeah I know but I am just glad that you will come with me." she said and nodded as she listened to him. She then saw the blush and blushed just as deeply when she heard him. Her tail swished back and forth and she found herself purring in happiness. "thank you, you know how to make me purr." she said and then kissed his cheek gently.

Dustan smiled softly and then chuckled hearing her purr. "its such a beautiful sound... I cannot resist." he said softly and then reached forwards and stroked her ear again. He was always fasinated on how soft and cute all nekos were. They neevr seemed like they were capable of war, but they sure proved they were on the battle feild. He then kissed her cheek and stood. "Shall I tuck you in the bed then? You should probably get some rest. Night cloaks people better when they're trying to hide so we should move at night." he said softly and looked into those beautiful eyes.

Jorden smiled when he stroked her ears and started to purr even louder. She loved his touch and she smiled as she purred even more and moved closer to him. She then nodded and then slowly stood up, "I would like that." she said and then kissed him on the cheek and wrapped her arms aorund him. She never wanted to leave him but she knew he had to go. This war was pointless but there people wanted it.

Smiled widely as the sounds of Jordan's purr getting louder made Dustan slowly grin. He then smiled and chckled. "Alright..." he whispered and scooped her up into his arms. Grinning he walked threw the tree house and into the bedroom area. He then pulled back to covers upon then bed and gently laid her down. Tucking the covers around her he smiled gently. "I love you Jordan..." he whispered softly and then leaned down and kissed her softly.

Jorden smiled when he picked her up and purred louder. She loved being close to him and wished nothing more then to never leave his arms. They always felt safe and made her feel loved. She then smield when she heard him and kissed him back right away. "I love you Dustan, never forget it." she said softly as she looked at him and then yawned a little bit. She was tired after everythign and even the night before she hadn't gotten a good nights sleep. So she had to sleep now.

Dustan smiled and then nodded. "Never have, never will." he whispered softly and then kissed the top of her head. He then walked out of the room slowly and closed the door behind him. He then hurried out of there, and back into the city, another soldier taking his post. He then returned to his house within the city, and striped down and took a bath. Once he was done, he dressed himself, and grabbed and packed everything he and Jordan would need... And then fell asleep on the top of his bed.

Jorden smiled as she watched him go and curled up in the bed. She closed her eyes but as she was about to fall asleep she heard something. It sounded like people and her ears perked up, tring to pick up the sound of what ever was out there. Fear filled her and she gribbed the sheets tightly. She pulled the sheets up over her and stayed there. She kept on telling her no one would find her and that she would be okay. But none of that comfort her. But then she thought of Dustan and started to relax. She could smell him in the sheets and she loved it. After a few minutes she was fast asleep thinking of him.

Dustan woke early as he seemed to be woken by the need to see Jordan. Dressing quickly he made sure the pack held his armor, clothes, cloaks, map, and food. He then silently snuck out of his house and out of the city. Sneeking pas the guards patrolling around he then dissappeared into the tree tops, knowing no one would find him there. He then entered the tree house threw the door and smiled. Setting down his pack he walked into the bedroom and gently sat on the side of the bed.

Jorden was completely sound asleep dreaming of Dustan. But when she felt someone sit down next to her she woke up right away, her dream of Dustan. She slowly peeked up from under the covers and when she saw the actual Dustan sitting next to her she smiled and jumped at him. "Dustan!" she cried happily and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tightly. She kissed his cheek gently and smiled at him as her tail swushed back and forth happily, "I didn't know you would be here so soon." she said as she looked at him.

Smiling as he watched Jordan sleep beneath the covers of the bed he chuckled seeing her peek out at him. "morning... Or should i say good night Jordan?" he said lightly and then laughed as she hugged him tightly as she said his name. it made him really very happy as she did, and he blushed slightly when she kissed his cheek. "Well, I woke up early wanting to make sure you're okay.. And I brought you an apple." he said handing it to her. he had found it growing on the way there and it looked very juicey to him.

Jorden smiled as she looked at the apple and took it happily, "you always know what I like." she said and kissed him on the cheek once more before she started to eat it. "and I am fine, i was asleep the whole entire time you where gone." she said as she looked at him and continued to eat the apple. She soon finished it and smiled at him, "so, are we ready to go?" she asked as she smiled at him.

Dustan smiled as she kissed his cheek. "i try m best.." he said softly and then put his chin in his hand as he lovingly watched her eat. Grinning as she finished it, he kissed her softly and then nodded. "Well that's good, but i always have to worry about you a little. That's what lovers do." he said lightly and then kissed her nose. "Why yes, I am." he said smoothly and stood up. "are you?"
