Robin has Starfire, Terra stayed good and went with Beastboy, Cyborg is with bumblebee, who was she to be with? Raven gets tired of being in the tower with all the googly eyes romances and decides to leave it while not feeling welcomed anymore. Raven had made Slade a deal that she would make the titans leave him alone just so Beastboy can have Terra without a cost. Raven on the other hand was found out about who she looked up to and the Titans later shunned it for her. Now that she wanders around looking for acceptance, Slade notices this and offers her a place as his apprentice. Does she agree? |
Raven felt alone even more than ever now. Her friends was no longer her friends as someone had someone but her. She shakes her head and sighs "Who cares..who cares anymore." She brushes back her hair and pulls her hood over her head. Ever since she was giving the offer by Shade she had been thinking about it for an while. She had to give it some time to think about it but she had made up her mind. She would soon return to where Slade's lair was and looks around wondering if he was around.

Slade was sitting at his computer screens doing some research when he heard her come in wandering around, turning his screens off he turned his chair around and spoke "Did you think about my offer?" Slade asks as he sat in the cave away from titans tower.

Raven looks around before she looks over at Slade as she stares at him only her eyes could be seen from her hood's shadows. She bits her lip which couldn't be seen until she speaks "Yes I have. And well I will agree. Since I figure if I didn't I would still be alone and no one would wanted me. And your offer would make an different. So yes I will be your apprentice, Slade." says calmy as she stands where she was.

"Excellent, we'll have to begin your training right away, you can't rely on your powers all the time. But, before we finish your training, did you need to bring your things here?" Slade asks his hands folded close to his face. He didn't have anything that would be like she wanted it to be or anything for her to read in any free time she would have.

Raven nods "I understand." says of course she still had to do her meditiling if she don't used them much during the training. She would nods "Yes I do please." says as she couldn't leave all of her stuff behind especialing all her books as she was an major book worm and loves to read during her free time.

"Well since it sounds as though the titans are going out tonight for a night upon the city with eachother. We will do it later tonight after they've left." Slade spoke and then stood "We should work on your training until then" Slade added.

Raven nods listening to him as she rolls her eyes abit after hearing that the titans going into the city with each other on dates or whatnot. She reaches up and brushes her hood back letting her hair fall out from him "Alright..that will be fine by me. Just something that will get my mind off of them."

"Let's begin and no using your powers. It may be a good advantage but I need to know what you need to learn about fighting physically" Slade spoke motioning her to begin the training session. Waiting for her to attack he thought to himself 'This is a bit easier than expected, better keep an eye on her'

Raven nods as this would be the first time training without using her powers but she had the will to hold back. She would go and attack him of course her combat skills without her powers was low but she did her best to hand in an punch at Slade.

Slade caught the punch and threw her off to the side "Rule one, don't attack let the enemy attack you. Rule two, think of something that totally makes you mad and attack with rage and nothing else but don't let your mind get clouded. Try again Raven" Slade spoke in his usual teaching voice.

Raven gets threw to the side once after her first attempt had failed. She growls to herself as she stands up as she nods and thougt she already knew what made her mad which was how she was turn against only because she wanted others to be happy. And that would be the fuel for the attack and nods "Ok I'm ready.." says.

Slade doesn't let her decide to attack first this time and quickly runs over to her extremely fast almost as a blur and got ready to attack her while pulling his arm back to punch her.

Raven blinks as she watches Slade coming at her fast. She would have an hard time to track him down but some how she manage to dodge. She grabs his wrist and would tosses him over with all her might.

Slade allows her to attack this way since it would have thrown others off guard. Being flipped and landing on his feet as he slowed down the skidding part of his pace he looks at her the entire time. "Good, you've managed to take down your average foe, we really need to build up your strength though. Come on" he spoke leading her out of that room and into the training room he had created for others to train including himself.
"Every morning at 6 am you will get up and train until noon unless said otherwise, I want you to build up your muscles and then we will worry about your speed." Slade spoke as the room he entered had tons of training equiptment and punches bags "Each bag contains different things, One has rocks, the other has salt, sand, water which can't break as easily as you'd think, and so forth each in order from easy to hardest. You may start whereever you think it acceptable for your standards. The titans I supposed trained you in your area of expertise which was your magic but how often did you train your body?" he was seriously asking a question here. |
Raven pants alittle as she was able to do that and get praise by Slade like that too. She brushes some of her hair out of her face and nods and follows him out of the room and into the training room. She takes an look around it before she looks over at Slade. She nods listening to him as she knew it was going to be hard work but she could do it. She would look at each equiptment as Slade explains. She would be silent so she could heard and noding her head every now and then. "Yes I understand.." before looking back over at him when he asked her an question. "Well not as much...I mean we usual play volleyball if you call that training your body but not much just on my powers thats all. I do run sometimes." says

"Well from today on you will be learning how to train correctly almost like the way I trained" Slade spoke and said "Let's begin for today, running isn't as much as an exorcise and it's time to change things up a bit. Let's start with the punching bags, you chose one. I will also train though I never take my mask off" he spoke making sure she doesn't get her hopes up. After hours passed, night came, and setting up her new room which was better than the one at the titans tower and bigger at that as well. They started her training as the weeks passed and she progressed.

Raven nods decide to take the bag of sand and thats when her train start. She was wonder what he looked like under that mask but never did get her hopes up to much. Raven pushes that out of her mind and continues to train. As weeks does past and her train was very hard but it work as she was making very good progressed and by the time fifth week she was already on the bag of rocks. She still of course had to meditied alittle as that was one thing she just was in the habit of and she didn't want her powers to get out of contral even she was using it less.
Each day she gets up at six but she usual got up an five just to start her training eariler. Raven wakes up and stretches as she brushes some of her hair out of face as she gets out of bed. She liked her new room cause of the size and of course there was books everywhere. She got dressed and heads out of her room and goes to the training room. |
Slade sits in his chair in front of his computers and then calls out "No training today, we're going to attack the titans. Change into what you want to fight in" he spoke giving her the choice as he waited for her to change and added "You ahve an hour at the most" he added. He sounded tired but more annoyed than anything else.

Raven stops as she looks over at Slade and nods "Yes sir." turns around. As she didn't ask yet if he was ok as she didn't want to annoy him any more than he already was. She would return to her room and changed into something different that she had always wore but she still had her cloak. She changed into skirt, top and had leggings under her shirt that was more between her color purple and the gold/black of Slade. Once she had changed she would returned back as she had no problem with attacking the titans as she was over them and didn't care what they thought of her now.

When Raven came out, Slade stood up "Are you ready?" he asks and snapped out of his usual thoughts switching over to wondering how the titans would react to see their old friend working with him to take them down. He noticed the outfit she was wearing and slightly surprised that she was wearing a skirt but ignored that thought and said "If you're ready let's go"

Raven moves over and stops looking at Slade. She would nods "I am ready as I ever been. I trained for the past weeks and I am ready to fight along beside you against the titans." says honestly as she had trained very hard to prove and to grow stronger as well to go against her old friends.

"Then come apprentice" Slade spoke as they left the cave and went towards titan's tower. Slade had learned some of Raven's powers from her and the most he could do besides fly was create a barrier around himself. Whenever she would metitate then he would join her as they would together. "Let's begin" Slade knew the only plan he had was to draw them out, confuse them, and then taken them down. Slade taps a watchband like structure on his wrist and part of the titan's tower had exploded. "Well they seem to need a new garage"

Raven follows Slade to the titans tower and looks over at him. She nods, watching as Slade blew up the garage of the tower as she could the alarms within the tower go off. As that brought out all of the titans to where Slade and Raven was at. As they was shock to see Raven there and was very confused as well why she was with Slade. "Whats the matter you guys? happy to see me?" Raven would say with an calm voice to her former friends.

"I thought friends were supposed to be happy to see other friends they haven't seen in a month or so" Slade spoke and then heard Robin say "Raven, you can't be sure you want to work for him, are you?"
