Nyvok- My goodness. okey what I would do is have him talk to her... with you in the room to make sure he is doing it right, since she seems to be his spawn. And if that doesn't work then take all the knives and hide them in places that there is no way she could get them, unless the boyfriend takes them out and gives them to her.. if that's the case you should really think about calling the cops... especially if you are lois. When are you parents coming home? maybe she will listen to them?

Nyvok- Okey.. if they are not coming back then she is acting out. Which in this case you may want to talk to someone about getting her in counseling. I mean she may be young, but it would be helpful. as for Dill i think you guys need to have a serious talk about this. because it isn't good for you or him. But if he is out at night, doing his job and such, then I think hiding the knives at night where you know she can't get them is your best bet for now. But this just seems like a really sucky situation.

Nyvok- I think your boyfriend might teach her how to get outta the striaght jacket... and it's hard to tell with a child so young if they will truly take after a parent, especially since she might just be acting out. You can't give her up to the state or something if it gets bad? I mean not to pry, just wondering.

Nvyok- No you shouldn't. And it seems like you were just thrown into this. Which isn't good either. in the end it might be your best option, though a sad one. But no one should feel scared in their own home, especially by a 3 1/2 year old knife holding child.... it's like ... never mind that may be a scarier image.

Nyvok- Don't beat yourself up over it. You were thrown into an impossible situation, that you tried to make the best of. No matter where this child went, you... the grandparents.... the system she was going to act out. There may have been added factors to make her a tad worse than she would have been. but either way she wasn't going to be the angel you knew. And beating yourself up over it or feeling bad or mad isn't going to make it better -- as much as we wish it would.
