I may have to go and amend this line then methinks! *runs off making crabby hand movements and the Zoidburg noises*

Woody, my hair is still the same, just the sides were getting WAY too long for my liking, so i had them shaved bare again. Feels AMAZING once more! ^_^ Have you got any idea how long this pond is at all, im curious to know how far youd be swimming?

Sensia, the weekend comes after Friday! Friday! Gotta get down on Friday!
:stare: :headdesk:
I cant believe i just did that. To everyone, im sorry you had to hear that refrence from me. Here is my favourite parody of that song to make it up to you!
EVERYBODY'S RUSSIAN!

WherededIGo 06-24-2012 04:50 AM

Lol. I love that XD

My hand is a dolphin! *weird hand movements*

Woodlandnymph 06-24-2012 06:50 AM

*looks it up* It looks like the pond is 1,000 meters long.So swimming it back and forth it's 2,000 meters. My goal is to swim it twice back and forth. I've swum it 1 fully then half way back and forth the second time.....for fear of getting too tired.

WherededIGo 06-24-2012 07:06 AM

Woah man woah. That is huge D:

Bearzy 06-24-2012 09:19 AM

You want to swim four kilometers? O.o

OnYourGoat 06-24-2012 01:36 PM

That is a long way to swim...

WherededIGo 06-24-2012 01:56 PM

Long is pretty much an understatement.

OnYourGoat 06-24-2012 02:20 PM

It is really..

Woodlandnymph 06-24-2012 02:24 PM

Well, lucky for me, I am out of shape, so it's not anything impressive like, doing freestyle the entire way. I switch it up between sidestroke, backstroke, and free style......plus I can rest by floating on my back. aw yah

WherededIGo 06-24-2012 02:33 PM

You're impressive in my books

OnYourGoat 06-24-2012 02:39 PM

It's still an amazing feat.

Drop Bear 06-25-2012 08:50 AM

ok, Just to clarify Woodster, 400m = 1/4 mile roughly. So are you positive thats right, because as was said, thats about a 4km total swim, which is a HELL of a distance! Olympic pools are only 50m!

Woodlandnymph 06-26-2012 04:37 AM

Ah, now you have me questioning myself. I pulled up a map online, lemme look again.

Ok ok, doop derp. I had it wrong. Round trip is .5 miles.....It's a quarter mile one way. So that's what, 800 something meters? So doing it twice would be a full mile and 1600 meters.(which I haven't done yet. My best "lap" has been going back 1 1/2 times) Yah? Plus, I don't swim all the way to the other shore and get out and turn around. I stop right before this marshy area with lily pads and stuff probably about 50 feet from the opposite shore....Don't wanna get tangled in that!

It's not a very wide swimming pond, but it's long one. Not very deep either. The deepest point is 15 or so feet.

WherededIGo 06-26-2012 05:19 AM

That sounds better.

But I still couldn't do it XD

Bearzy 06-26-2012 07:35 AM

Neither could I!

Drop Bear 06-26-2012 08:29 AM

THAT sounds more realisitic now Woody! Sounds like a nice swim actually! Only if its warm enough though, its bloody cold here at the moment! F**K going swimming now! (x__x) Id freeze my bollocks off! And i like my bollocks right where they are lol!

I made some shelves yesterday to go into my wardrobe. Not exactly proud of the quality of the job, theyre pretty nastily put together if you look at it, but for my first proper attempt at fabricating something on my own, im happy with how it turned out.

WherededIGo 06-26-2012 09:08 AM

Where I am the water would be quite warm. Which is a shame when we wish to cool off. Which is every minute of every day basically.
:(

It looks good for a first try :D

Drop Bear 06-26-2012 09:24 AM

Im down Sydney way, so its damned cold here, not to mention when you get out, youd be so damned cold your brass monkey would have no balls! :P

WherededIGo 06-26-2012 10:03 AM

Lol.
I'm right at the top of the territory.
Where its disgustingly hot, and you'd probably melt XD

OnYourGoat 06-26-2012 01:43 PM

*starts dancing to 'Club Villain' and 'Sweet Dreams'*

Woodlandnymph 06-27-2012 12:45 AM

Psh, it can't be as cold as our winters Droopy :talk2hand: If you can still swim outdoors, it's not cold. ;)
And it's an awesome swim! I get a crick in my neck sometimes doing it, cause I favor one side when I do the side stroke....

Nice shelf! Once you paint it, it'll look pretty sweet! :D

Drop Bear 06-27-2012 11:15 AM

LOL ok, by your standards, no, its not cold here. Shit, im still wearing shorts and tee's around sometimes in the middle of winter!

Bailed on going to the gym tonight, my mate is having a night off, and ive been active all day as it is so im keen for a night off too lol!

And im not painting the shelves. I thought about it, but just CBF to be honest. Its just a case of its going into the wardrobe, so no one will see it for more than a few seconds, so i see no point to it. I did contemplate doing it though!

Woodlandnymph 06-28-2012 01:33 AM

;) I'd still paint it cause I am a crazy girl like that.

And seriously. I've worn flip flops in the snow before...but I was in Vermont. Gotta be hardcore up there ;)

Ling 06-28-2012 06:24 AM

flip flops, tshirts and shorts in winter is just crazy in my opinion, but then again I've seen so many people around here do that it's almost no surprise.
