I had millions of gold worth of items, but lost it all due to the glitch on my account. It was the weirdest thing.

Bye Pheonix!
|
Welcome to The Billabong Phoenixphyre: !
Where abouts in Vic are you located, if you dont mind my asking? Ive been to Melb with my GF for an extended weekend stay once and it was awesome! Best food ive ever had! I didnt really get in to the event this year, I did last year, but for some reason I just wasnt too interested. Looks like there were a few good items released though? Was the respirator that everyone is wearing part of that by any chance? |
Na, the respirator is from the Contribution item.

Ive heard of Horsham before. Dont know squat about it, but the name rings a bell! :P
Id love to go to melbourne again when time and money permits, but i think me and my GF will end up getting to Darwin before we're back there. What would you recommend doing/seeing in Darwin? Welcome back leasfy! |

Darwin, well if you can rig it to go in around June or July as that's the dry season (no build up to the wet season storms or opressive humidity) then you'll definatly have to check out the Mindle Beach Markets on Thursday night, and the Parap Markets on Saturday mornings. You totally want to check out the Territory Wildlife Park and Crocodylus Park as well. If you don't mind a little drive I totally recomend checking out Buley Rock Hole and Wongai Falls in Litchfield National Park. Um....other then that when I lived up there I used to spend a lot of time out at East Point Beach, The Warf and Nightcliff Jetty. Hopefully that gives you some ideas of places to check out. :D |
Awesome! Cheers for that Phoenix, ill keep them in mind once we get around to actually getting there! Could be a while at this rate. Our next port of call is Sydney, but we're hoping to get to all the other capitals too eventually!
|
Hi everyone, another Aussie in this thread!!
Drop bear, if ya going to the capital cities make sure you visit Darwin. I've just moved away from Darwin, but it's beautiful and remember not to go swimming in the water. |
Welcome to The Billabong, Catchy!
Yeah i hear that going in the ocean up that way is rather detrimental to ones health hahaha! [lol] |
It sure it. Gosh I've already gotten a nickname. Then again my name is very long compared to others :3
|
Yeah, we all get nicknames the minute we drop into this thread. I used to be Carzeebear until I hung around here, and then everyone called me Bearzy anyway, so I shortened my name for simplicity.
|
Nice, I don't wish I to change my name. I enjoy it too much
|
Reminds me of a song. Also a bedtime story, and the one bit of The Brothers Grimm that creeped me out.
|
What song? Maybe I know of it.
|
Catch me if you Can. By GaIn. It's kpop.

Hell the highways during the wet season are more interesting than the sea. I still remember going to school one wet season in the torrential down pour...got held up at the lights and looking out the window to see a big saltie just meandering up the middle of the road. He'd swam up rapid creek and just continued on his way!! Smeg it was funny!! ---------- Post added 04-30-2013 at 02:34 PM ---------- Quote:

I lived in Gunn for the last year and a half but I was in rosebery for 5 years before that. I just loved the place so much. Especially my job at the local Palmerston McDonalds. I miss walking around up-top with my friends too. The south sure is colder thought ^.^
I Learnt something really interesting the other night. Darwin was known as Palmerston till 1911 :O did anyone else know that?!?! |
Another Victorian?
|
Nope, Queenslander mate. Gosh it dose get cold compared to Darwin >.<
|
Ah, damn it. I was hoping for someone else.
That's what you consider cold? I was up there for two weeks and never put on a jumper, even when it was raining. |

Ahh Palmerslum we used to fondly call it, I guess some bad habbits stick, but I remember The Maccas there well, my bestie worked there and one time another friend and I rode our horses through the drive through when we knew she was working. It was so funny, even got into the NT News because of it. [XP] Must have been a slow news day for them that day! [mrgreen] And now I feel so old! *cough* moving on. The suburb I grew up in was Malak but spent alot of time in Karama, Nightcliff and Leeanya the most with my friends. ---------- Post added 04-30-2013 at 04:24 PM ---------- Is in Vic here and currently freezing my tushy off as we speak!! |
Horsham... Name rings a bell now. Not saying much, half the damn country sounds like i've been there by now.
