What a nice looking beach.

Bearzy 07-13-2015 05:07 AM

I heard it snowed in NSW???? Wat?

Woodlandnymph 07-13-2015 06:36 PM

Is that uncommon? :O Well...okay I guess it would be, huh?

Bearzy 07-14-2015 11:29 AM

It's newsworthy.

Woodlandnymph 07-15-2015 08:03 PM

That's pretty awesome. How often does snow even happen there?

MedievalBeauty 07-15-2015 11:43 PM

Who knows, but its feeling colder and colder this year.

Woodlandnymph 07-16-2015 12:33 AM

it's mid July/summer here and it's been all sorts of wonky weatherwise. It's only in the 70s (F) for the rest of the week. Normally it's up in the 80s and 90s and humid as all get up. I'm digging the weather right now.

Ling 07-16-2015 10:23 AM

It apparently even snowed in the hills in South Australia, and that's pretty unusual.

MedievalBeauty 07-16-2015 11:34 AM

I'm from Victoria, Australia and it's freezing. We have no heater at my mums place, and thats where I live.

Woodlandnymph 07-16-2015 08:43 PM

I just saw a video from this photographer I like in NSW who was filming just as a tree broke under the weight of the snow in her yard XD

MedievalBeauty 07-16-2015 10:48 PM

Oh wow, that's pretty interesting.

Bearzy 07-17-2015 11:33 AM

Wow. That has got to be uncommon up there.

Woodlandnymph 07-19-2015 03:49 AM

Even made FB feed news, all that snowy times.

Ling 07-20-2015 12:01 AM

Apparently there are parts of Queensland that had snow too.....that's kind of insane.

MedievalBeauty 07-20-2015 04:31 AM

Yeah, I noticed. I saw some photos awhile ago.

Woodlandnymph 07-20-2015 03:30 PM

I saw pictures of the border signs all covered in snow. XD Nice white fluffy stuff all over "Welcome to Queensland!" Meanwhile here this weekend if felt like walking through soup. It was super duper humid and in the upper 90s out.

MedievalBeauty 07-20-2015 11:35 PM

Where are you from Woodland?

kelseydee 07-25-2015 03:20 AM

Now we know.
Don't mess with an Aussie.
Like wow. That shark gotta beat down from that surfer, not once. But twice. 💪💪💪

MedievalBeauty 07-27-2015 07:29 AM

Ah wow, I've never heard of that before.

^ I'm from New England. Home of maple syrup and pretty autumns I guess. And Robert Frost and Mark Twain! ;)

The Mark Twain house is actually just a half hour from me....I just went to a book signing there.

Is that the shark attack that was caught on film at the surfing event? I saw that video. Crazy.......Just when he starts hitting the shark, the wave gets in the view and you can't see anything that's happening. [wha][wha][wha]

kelseydee 07-28-2015 06:59 PM

Mark Twain would of had a field day with it..

Woodlandnymph 07-28-2015 07:03 PM

It was a book about Jane Austen.....and Mark Twain was a huge critic of hers, so he would have had a field day with the event I went to XD

Quote:

Jane Austen? Why I go so far as to say that any library is a good library that does not contain a volume by Jane Austen. Even if it contains no other book. -Mark Twain

Ling 07-30-2015 10:54 PM

Ooh, that's interesting. I did not know that about Mark Twain.

In other news...I recently went holidaying in Tropical North Queensland area...I enjoyed it, despite the humidity which I'm not used to.

Woodlandnymph 07-31-2015 07:23 PM

Oooh, yeah? It's pretty up there. I've seen pictures [drool] So long as there's a time of year that's not so humid, I'm game!

kelseydee 08-04-2015 02:23 AM

It's my understanding that Mark Twain liked humid weather&that his dislike of Jane Austen had to do with her attack of the Mississippi River boat races held once a year on(quite by accident) her birthday.
Twain of course couldn't abide anyone as course as himself..... The preceding drivel in no way represents the views of Edgar Allen Poe.
