So it's been decided, my family are watching the last two Harry Potter movies to celebrate the new year. Wow, we're an exciting bunch.

From what I know they're like koalas, but they supposedly just randomly drop out of trees and hit people.

Yah, they're the evil koalas that have crazy teeth and eat human flesh. Zeap told me all about them.

Right... I'm fairly sure that they're just made up like the tree octopus. Whilst Koalas are violent... Hmmmm....

And also, guys Drop Bears are a very real threat too! Im going to link to an image offsite for you all to see, its a bit graphic, so consider yourselves all to have been warned, but you need to be aware of the dangers that are Drop Bears that people seem to trivialise.

Drop Bears are Koalas essentially, but during the mating season of Koalas, the adults protecting young offspring become protectively savage of intruders into their habitat. Unfortunately, some of the Koala population dont revert back to their normal placid selves after the mating season and remain as drop bears for the rest of their lives. Theyve killed people before by dropping out of trees onto them and tearing their faces apart because these people have been unaware they were walking into Koala territory during the mating season. Drop Bears know no fear, theyll attack creatures larger than themselves without hesitation. Anywhere that Koalas are found, you can almost guarantee that Drop Bears will be around somewhere too. There have even been cases where theyve been in peoples homes, which is a truly scary thought!

Dont under estimate their killing potential because they look like a Koala. Theyre no longer Koalas once they become Drop Bears.

Thankfully, The Billabong is a (magically) DB free zone! :P

I'm so glad we're safe from those here. (As if there weren't enough deadly animals in australia!)

It is pretty true though, they will take down humans. Usually dropping on them. That moment of surprise when they knock you down, thats all they need to tear your face off and kill you. Its crazy!
