Yeah, I agree!

Have you ever been out of South Australia, sensia?

OnYourGoat 02-11-2012 06:22 AM

Uhh... No. Lol. But I've watched a lot of Vids and seen alot of photos.. ^^'

We were planing to go to Sydney later this year but everywhere is booked out. If the world doesn't end we'll probably go next year.

Ling 02-11-2012 06:39 AM

Hopefully your trip to Sydney works out for next year, it's a fun place.

Hehe, I haven't been to that many places either. Lemme think, in Australia I've been to Melbourne and other parts of Victoria, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Gold Coast....rest of the places I've been have been in South Australia. Still haven't been to Perth or Tasmania, and still wondering whether or not I want to go to Northern Territory.

Melbourne probably has the most memories for me outside of Adelaide and South Australia. I‘ve been there 3 times, at ages 8, 15 and 24. First two times were fun especially because we drove there from Adelaide in the family car. Funnily enough, we drove the same car there both times, my dad was told he was 'crazy' for driving such an old car the second time, by the mechanic that fixed his car when it broke down in Melbourne. LOL.

Travelling is fun, should do it more often.

OnYourGoat 02-11-2012 06:45 AM

Lol. The only places I've been are; Port Augusta, Melrose, Mount Pleasant, Yukamurundi (sp?), Kangaroo Island and various places between there and home.. Mostly on visits to 'Family' so I don't count them as trips.

Ling 02-11-2012 06:51 AM

That's interesting, Apart from Kangaroo Island I haven't been to any of those places you mentioned.

OnYourGoat 02-11-2012 06:54 AM

Ehhh.. They're nice but I don't remember much of them.. The fibro has really screwed with my memories.

Ling 02-11-2012 07:25 AM

Fibro...that sounds like an abbreviated version of a name of a medical condition I'm sure I've heard of somewhere before....I'm sorry to hear that it's screwed up with your memories.

OnYourGoat 02-11-2012 07:29 AM

You've probably heard it from me. Fibromyalgia. It has many things connected to it. Like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

----------

Also extreme sensitivity to pain, amongst other senses.

Ling 02-11-2012 07:42 AM

I’m sure I've heard of Fibromyalgia prior to my Menewsha but anyway that does sound unfortunate, those symptoms do sound unfortable. I never realised it could cause problems with memory though.

OnYourGoat 02-11-2012 07:44 AM

It causes many different things in as many people. One of mine is the memory retrieval system. No matter what I do I cannot consciously recall most of my past.

Ling 02-11-2012 07:54 AM

Just curious, how far as far as age goes can you remember now? And do you know if this would change in the future?

OnYourGoat 02-11-2012 08:01 AM

Well.. I'm 20 now and I can barely remember classes from last year.. I still retain the knowledge I just can't remember the event. With frequent care, some of the more dangerous problems are getting under control. Finding a doctor who's willing to listen to me who won't be moving in six months is a challenge. The main reason I'm so bad is I haven't had good medical care since it all started. I'm so pissed off at some of the doctors. They had me as diabetic taking insulin! That could have killed me.

Ling 02-11-2012 08:13 AM

Oh my goodness! It's scary when people are misdiagnosed like that. And not being able to remember events from last year is certainly unusual. especially at your age.

OnYourGoat 02-11-2012 08:45 AM

I wasn't even diagnosed. It was just a hand written note stuck in my file.

It is weird.. but sometimes I can remember obscure things from farther back. At the Christmas dinner I remembered that some one had requested a picture from me, no one else knew what I was talking about. ^^'

Ling 02-11-2012 11:39 AM

That's different. But I suppose significant events, or just events out of the ordinary are easier to remember. And the mind works in strange ways.

Narcotic Dolly 02-11-2012 11:50 AM

Hi all!

Ling 02-11-2012 12:05 PM

Hey there Narcotic Dolly, your avatar looks like sugary sweet tastiness!

Narcotic Dolly 02-11-2012 12:11 PM

Ha thanks Ling. She will be ready by easter, I hope. You look like chinese new year and valentines rolled into one!

Ling 02-11-2012 12:38 PM

That's kinda the look I was going for. When I created it it was just past Chinese New Year and Valentines Day is just around the corner now, very soon indeed, so I figured it was appropriate. :D

Narcotic Dolly 02-11-2012 12:45 PM

Then you managed it perfectly. 2 birds with one stone and it's such a cute stone!

Ling 02-11-2012 12:53 PM

Thanks ^^

So are you from Australia or elsewhere?

Narcotic Dolly 02-11-2012 12:55 PM

I'm from New Zealand. I hold no grudges, I swear lol. And you Sweet-Ling?

-is watching Fat Belly-

Ling 02-11-2012 01:20 PM

I live in Australia and no grudges either. :)

Never been to New Zealand but I have a friend who has, and she says it's a nice place.

Narcotic Dolly 02-11-2012 01:29 PM

My sister is in Auz right now picking fruit. She's loving it. Never been to Auz personally but I have seen Neighbours and Home and Away lol.

Ling 02-11-2012 01:39 PM

Oh yeah, I'm not sure about Home and Away, as I've never really watched that show before but I know that Neighbours backgrounds/sets are pretty much typical suburban areas of Australia. :)
