It's all so preeeties~ It matches perfectly with my current art style too.
How much is it going for on the market these days? Maybe that can be your next quest! :D
About 2000... I want all the awsome Plauge Doctor stuff first though.
The plaaaague! *runs around yelling about buboes and armpit sores*
*walks around town dragging a hand cart and ringing a bell* Bring out yer dead!
good scene XD |
Our dead get eated by the bunyips here, so we can have epic battles and not have to worry about cleaning up! ^_^
:illgetu: You guys have too many cool crytids and folklore creatures!!! I am jealous! All we have to eat out dead is...uh..... desperate people in mountain passes in the winter and creepy guys in Colorado.
We just have monster eels and taniwha..... (Tunny-fah)
Monster eels? Kinda like the shrieking eels?
No, just really big ones. They live in our lakes and rivers and scare the sheet out of children.
Hahaha. Uuuh. They sound like fun. <.< The only place eels should be is in my sushi!
I dunno if we have anything cool local creatures... I mean, there are a few native american tribes where I am, but I don't know too many legends for the area, .... We DO have a place called Moodus that has something called Moodus Noises, and the Algonquian tribe there called it "Machimoodus" which meant something like.....'place of many bad noises.' The story is that odd groaning type noises are heard in the woods, so they thought it to be the home of one of the gods. BUT, the coolest thing is that is actually true! Thank you local geology! These micro-earthquake things, and how the land shifts in this area, causes these echo-y groaning noises to be heard. Just...outta no where. It's really cool. Ok, so we have that. |
That is cool! Well, our Taniwha are basically to do with the Maori gods and such. They're land monsters. There are forest taniwha and mountain taniwha. Some people actually think that the earthquakes we've been having are the taniwha waking up to take back their land. No sheet.
Um awesome! What are they supposed to look like?
:D That's so cool! Man, I LOVE local legends and folklore. I wanted to study folklore in grad school....but I am still thinking of what would best lead to a job, lol. SADLY. At least I can still study it as I please for fun.
Cool, yes. Not so cool would be if they actually did wake up.
touche :P
Oh, we do have something else cool I guess. There is a park called Sleeping Giant which looks like a giant sleeping (imagine that) and that is also tied into the Moodus Noises, which aren't too too far away. The sleeping giant is the same god Hobbomock, that made the noises in Moodus, who was put to sleep by a benevolent god, after he went on a rampage, stamping his feet and crushing everything. So, now he is dormant, laying down in the hills. I used to hike there all the time as a kid :D |
Very cool!

See his noggin up there? It's cool cause it's the only hill like that in a valley.... result of a slip fault ridge.... /rock dork |
Now that is really cool!
Yah, its awesome how much it really does look like a sleeping giant. XD Even the feet are prominent, though you can't tell...trees are blocking the view.
We used to hike up the head a lot ;) |
You stepped on his face? O.o He's totally going to eat you....
O.o I never thought of it that way. I am surprised I've got away this long without getting swallowed there...
He must think you have pretty feet... either that or you smell weird.
