Resistance- A fight for survival?

Rules:

The rules are fairly simple.

1) Follow Menewsha's TOS. I don't want anyone getting in trouble here.

2) NO GODMODDING. That seriously makes me angry. You control your own character/s and that's it, unless someone else has given you permission to do so. If that's the case, say so so you don't get in trouble for it.

3) I am Game Master. At various times I will take over NPC's to try and advance the plot along. Ramnakua is my assisstant. If you have a problem, feel free to talk to her about it if I'm unavailable. She is also able to take over NPC's to advance the plot. (BTW, if you have suggetions for plots or archs, feel free to pm me with them ^_^

4) You're allowed up to 2 Characters per person. Unless you talk to me and I ... for some reason, okay it.

5) Youre race can be one of the following: Human, elf, vampire, neko (or any variation there of. E.G: Dog boy, wolf boy, or anything else that has animal ears and tail), or a Lycanthrope of any flavor.

I reserve the right to add should I need to. Though I hope I don't.

FIRST POST:

Talana silently rose from her memories and glanced around the room. Nothing had changed in all the time she'd been here. It was still set up for Malakai, from before he'd died. He'd been her only visitor and her only break from the monotony of time. Not that he could see her. She'd been as invisible as a ghost, but she'd enjoyed listening to him talk and reading over his shoulder whenever he'd brought a book.

At the far side of the room was his chair, and she silently drifted over to it and let her hand hover over the arm. She wondered what it would be like to touch it. all her time spent asleep, and as this unseen spirit had made her forget what it was like to feel.

Shaking her head, she turned her attention to the desk beside the chair, and then to teh bed in the center of the cavern. It was comfortable, she remembered choosing it specifically for that reason. Not that she could feel it now ...

Her body lay on the bed, resting peacefully and undsiturbed by the passage of time. Her hair (loose) was spread along the bed behind ehr and spilled over the edge onto the ground. Everything was silent ...

And if she had to spend too much more time here, she'd go insane.

She breathed deeply, though oxygen was something she didn't need, and closed her eyes, silently praying to wake up soon.

As if in answer to her prayers, voices seemed to filter to her. Her eyes snapped open in surprise as she drifted towards the entrance, refusing to get her hopes up. Others had come through these mountains, these caves, but no one had ever found her cavern. No one had ever entered her room.

Still, it would at least cure her boredom for a short time.

((OOC: Yes, they find her cavern))

Dimitri sat in the caves around his camp alone. He didn't want ot talk to anyone right now. They were beginning to get annoying, talking about what they were goingto do to defeat the king and what kind of government they would set up afterward. THat wasn't the point of the Resistance. Their point was to free the world from the king's reign, not replace it with someone else's. He thought that self government of the home or village was best. No one should have to look up tom some supreme ruler. Dimitri began to tap on the wall with the small sword he had brought with him. He heard a loud crack and looked to see a fissure open on the wall. He looked through it and saw a small cavern with living accomidations in it. He proceded to crack fissure larger and eventually see a girl on a bed in the room. "What is she doing in there?" He thought about teleporting there and, before he could thinl twice about it, He teleported there in a puff of black smoke.

He looked around and was simply in shock. He had never seen a place so large, especially inside the mountain. He went over to the girl and lokked at her. He thought that she looked quite young, but had an aura that made her seem much much older. "Who are you?" He decided to sit there until she woke up.

omglol 01-22-2011 10:26 PM

Melora awoke suddenly at the sound of the fissure opening, as she had taken a nap once the camp was set up. For some reason, Dimitri had decided to teleport into there. Melora envied him at that moment. The crack appeared too small to fit through, and she knew her gift was fire weilding, not teleportation. At least she could see into the cavern if she wanted to. "Should I tell the others?" Melora mumbled. Looking toward the group, she knew that they were talking about strategy and would get aggrivated if she interrupted. So, she decided to pick herself up, walk over, and peer inside. What she saw shocked her.

"Woah, Dimitri, what did you find?!" Melora inquired. The cavern she saw looked like a room, complete with a bed. Furthermore, there seemed to be a young girl sleeping, with Dimitri sitting next to her. Melora felt as if her dreams had come true, as it seemed like forever since she slept on a real bed. "Dimitri, do you know how to open this crack, you know, wider?!"

Isaac Levis 01-23-2011 12:51 AM

"No that is not how we can go about things.", Kael stated stern and seriously, "We need to put a council in charge. Like what was suggested earlier. A group of people who have different experiences and varying outlooks. That is the only way to represent the interests of everyone efficiently. You put in another king and despite how good of a person he is you will eventually get a tyrant."

Kael was tired of the argument. No one was making any ground it was like talking to a brick wall. The people around the campfire were set in their beliefs by no there was no one else switching sides. At least it was just that, campfire talk, and not real negotiation. It was time to leave the bickering behind.

Standing up Kael rolled his shoulders before turning and walking away from the camp. Maybe he could find a nice quite place on his walk. Somewhere he could meditate and perhaps see where the future might lead...

His thoughts were disrupted by an unusual scene Melora was talking to a crack in the rock. She seemed to be asking Dimitri if there was a way to make the entrance bigger. Kael silently advanced forward and glanced in over her shoulder to see the room for himself.

Dimitri was already inside which could have only been done by teleportation so Kael assumed. It struck him very odd that a room be in this place, and to be covered over like that. Someone did not want something to be found... or did not want to be found themselves. From what he could tell the rock layer was pretty thin between the outside and the room.

Taking a few steps backwards he charged the rocks shoulder first sending more cracks through the thin wall. Kael repeated the process and this time ended up stumbling into the room. His shoulder sent pangs up to his brain once he hit the floor with the rest of the rubble he knocked loose.

Standing slowly Kael brushed himself off, ignoring the attention his shoulder attempted to demand, "Well there we are, a bigger entrance. Though I am sorry I dirtied the floor."

((OOC: Alpha's currently at work, so she can join when she gets back ^_^))

Talana blinked at the three people in her cavern in complete shock. How did they ... they shouldn't have been able to .. but ... they're here ...

Eyes never leaving the three strangers, Talana found herself drifting towards her body until she hovered just behind it. It did put her rather close to the male by the bed (Demitri, she believed the girl had called him), but she still felt a bit more secure that being so far away from it.

Am I going to wake up? she wondered, silently, hopefully.

omglol 01-23-2011 02:08 AM

"Yes!" Melora cheered. "Thank you for opening it up, Kael. I can get get in now!" It had been torturous for Melora to not be able to get in. She loved to explore, and the rock wall kept her from doing so. "So, where is this plaxce anyways?" Melora asked. She had seen some weird things in her lifetime, but a room inside a mountain was a first. Not only that, but a girl slept in said room! What was going on here?

AlphaWesternWolf 01-23-2011 04:19 AM

Standing at the entrance, almost seeming to have appeared there a youthful man with long white hair adn green twimmed blue eyes tilted his head slightly. "You guys make a lot of noise." His voice was almost monotone as he spoke before stepping over a few stones. Walking over to the girls body Xavier looked her over with calm eyes.

"She almost doesn't seem alive....and this place...it resemble a tomb of sorts, aside from the chair there." He nodded to the wooden chair not far before looking at the others. "We shouldn't touch her, who knows what kind of curses or spells have been set upon her body to ensure it's life like state."

puppetmaster999 01-23-2011 04:40 AM

"Um... Hey guys. I think she's waking up." Dimitri said, feeling something beside him head toward the body. "Who are you?" he asked again. He had barely noticed the others entrance. He really didn't care about them. He was too curious about the girl. He continued to sit there, quietly waiting for the girl to awake. He looked at her and thought, crazily and only for a second, that she could be the turning point of this war of rebellions.

Isaac Levis 01-23-2011 05:09 AM

Kael nodded to Melora, "Happy to help.", he said with a smile.

At the sounding of Xavier's voice Kael jumped slightly and turned his head back to the entrance he had made.

"Afraid that noise was mostly me.", Kael admitted with a shrug.

After Xavier had given his views on what the room might be Kael took another look around with this 'new' information. While he would not have used the word 'tomb' to describe the place Kael saw how Xavier could come to that conclusion.

Kael trailed his hand over the chair, wiping off a layer of dust in the process. The decor and aged look of the chair and desk revealed how old this place really was. It was not like he knew anything about furniture or designs but if asked to guess the age he would say it could be hundreds of years old.

Dimitri drew his attention away from the environment and to the sleeping woman. Taking his time Kael examined her intently without realizing that they were all being watched. Taking a moment to consider his actions Kael decided that his curiosity would get the best of him. He put his hand on her wrist to see if she had a pulse, which would be followed by a rubbing of the shoulder to see if he could get her to wake.

Allanasha 01-23-2011 06:33 AM

The pulse in the girl's wrist was steady and strong, by all accounts, it appeared as though she really was 'just sleeping'. The body moved, loosely as Kael shook her shoulder, but she gave no signs of waking.

As Talana watched the people, her worry began to fade away. There was something about them. Something ... familiar. Whatever it was pulled at her and made her relax. As she continued to observe them, she failed to notice the faint draw as her body drew her back until she was already being pulled back in.

She gasped faintly in surprise as the images before her cut off, and all she could see was black. Instantly, she began to panic and fight against the force that dragged her back to her body. When that didn't work, her mind began screaming. As panic continued to set in, all her mental sheilds crashed.

Zrech sat to the side of the arguing group. He listened, but he never took sides, and he never put in his own thoughts. He didn't know, exactly, what needed to be done, but he knew that none of that would work. Something different was needed, something -

His thoughts were cut off as a scream echoed inside his mind. Letting out a sharp gasp, he fell to his knees, hands raising to grasp his head. Barely a moment later, he managed to slam up his best sheilds, but still he could hear it echoing through his mind. He stayed there, kneeling and oblivious to the worried inquiries, until he was sure he could stand.

Then, he slowly pushed himself to his feet ans shoved through the gathered crowed, rushing towards the mental scream.

(((OOC: There seems to have been some confusion. There is no outward appearance of Talana's panic ....))))

puppetmaster999 01-23-2011 07:43 PM

Dimitri looked at the girl. "What is she doing here?" he said to the others "Who built this place and put her here? Why did they? What could even build this place? And how in the Spirits names could she be alive? I don't see a crumb of food or drop of water. Also, I don't see a way out, except for the hole Kael gladly opened for us."

Isaac Levis 01-24-2011 12:26 AM

Dimitri listed off questions as Kael continued to focus on the 'sleeping' woman.

"I have some of those same questions.", Kael admitted as Dimitri finished, "Her pulse is fine, what one would expect from a sleeping person. For her to exist in this condition without the things normally necessary for life... There must have been some sort of tampering that we can not explain."

He knew that it was just stating the obvious but he figured there was no damage in doing that. After glancing over the woman one more time he took a look around the room again. She was not dead and not in any normal form of sleep. His shaking did not seem to wake her either. There had to be some way to get her out of whatever spell she was under. The more he looked at the room though the more ordinary it became, nothing special about here other than a room in a mountain.

Kael let out a sigh before leaning against the dusty chair which in turn creaked in protest. He was visibly confused about the whole situation. Suddenly an idea hit him and he sat cross legged on the ground.

"Perhaps a look into the future will provide us with a better understanding of the present. I will need some peace in order to bring out the visions.", Kael explained.

Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes and filled his mind with the image of the woman who lay still asleep on her bed. Slowly his senses became dulled and would continue to do so for a time that he could never predict. Anywhere from minutes to, on rare occasion, hours. He could feel doors within his mind preparing to unlock and offer him new insight to the future. Kael did not know how many doors it would take before the vision started, but he knew it was never the first.

omglol 01-24-2011 01:07 AM

Melora shifted around impatiently as Kael explained the woman's condition. Then, to her horror, Kael said that he needed to wait for a vision! She knew it took time to get one, and everyone had to be silent at that! Melora could hardly bear to wait, yet alone be silent. But, knowing the importance of this, she calmed down and waited for a bit. She decided to use this time to think about the situation. First of all, in a room inside of a mountain, some girl is sleeping. Also, Kael says that the sleep is irregular. "Ugh," Melora muttered," too much thinking." All she could do now is watch the girl in the bed...

AlphaWesternWolf 01-24-2011 02:13 AM

Xavier looked over at the girl a moment, his eyes narrowing only in the slightest as he stayed silent. He knew what it took to gain a vision, he had watched other attempt it, he only hoped the vision that Kael eventually saw was useful.

Stepping away from the girl he began to look around, trying to find any clues as to what the cave was, aside from a tomb.

Allanasha 01-24-2011 05:56 AM

Zrech stumbled his way through the cave system, aware of all the attention he was drawing, but he didn't care. It literally felt as though something was dragging him forward, and it wouldn't let him stop, not for anything.

He barely paused as he found the room entrance, leaning heavily on the ragged stone as he let his blue eyes scan it. He took in the four people, not even coherent enough to notice them, and then his eyes fell on the girl. All at once, his eyes seemed to work properly, giving him every detail of the fragile looking girl asleep on the bed.

"What's going on here?" he demanded, voice shaky.

Isaac Levis 01-24-2011 06:42 AM

"What's going on here?" asked a whisper that echoed softly through Kael's mind as he worked at opening the first door.

The subtle shifting sounds in the back of his mind had stopped. All was quite as his invisible hand reached out for the door inside of his mind which he literally pictured as a antique oak door with a polished gold handle. To the untrained eye every door he had ever come to has looked the same, not that anyone else could see them the way he did, but Kael could pick out minute differences between them. This door was covered with small scuffs and scrapes though the doorknob remained untouched. Kael jiggled the door and found to his surprise that it was firmly locked.

'The first door is never locked!', Kael thought to himself in a panic, 'Doors are hardly ever locked in general!'

The door suddenly distorted and in response Kael took a moment to return to a calm state of mind. He again attempted the door, and again he was met with the same resistance. At first Kael tried a more cautious approach but all attempts to prod open the door failed.

As a last resort he pooled together his mental strength and slammed into the door. There was a response and Kael gathered himself for a second assault which sent him flying through the door. What he expected to see on the other side was yet another door, probably locked like the first one, but instead found himself tumbling into the vision.

Opposing moods were the first things to tear into him. Kael felt as if he was jumping from a bath of ice into a scolding tub. Hate mixed with love, admiration with loathing, and so many more conflicting emotions. There was the pang of defeat and suddenly hope sprang into him. The colors around him turned from a deep purple to a honey gold and Kael felt like he was floating on clouds.

This feeling lasted for only seconds though as Kael flicked open his eyes at the sudden feeling of cool dirt pressed up against his face. His face was pricked with sweat as if Kael had just gotten back from an afternoon jog. Unknown to Kael he had fallen onto his side only moments before, showing no outward signs of stress besides the slow building of sweat on his brow.

He opened his mouth but could not speak. Attempted to stand but could not move. In a sudden shock he realized that all he could see were blurs of shapes he barley recognized. Instead of panicking Kael waited patiently for his senses to return to him, as he hoped they would.

Sure enough half a minute later feeling returned to his fingertips and he found that his mouth could move. Minutes later the process would be complete and he would be back to his normal self.

In an attempt to signal he was ok Kael began to mumble unable to properly control the muscles necessary for talking, "Mn I-h okiah." he managed to say with great effort.

As his senses returned to him Kael passed the time by thinking during this vulnerable moment, 'The first door... was the one to the vision? I have never felt anything so... confusing... since my first visions...'

Even thinking was putting a strain on him so instead of continuing Kael lay on his side, unable to move, waiting patiently for things to get back to as they were.

omglol 01-24-2011 03:11 PM

"What?" Melora whispered as someone stumbled into the cave. "Not quite sure myself, either, but there seems to be a girl thats sleeping in this room. Now quiet down, Kael's trying to have a vision." Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, Melora saw Kael topple over with his eyes still closed. Moments later, however, they were open, but Kael obviously was unable to move. After a couple minutes or so, he attempted speech, so Melora knew that he was fine. But when she turned back to the others in the room, she saw they newcomer leaning on some of the stone, Xavier scanning the room, and Dimitri looked as if he were pondering some questions. "What an eventful day this has been," Melora mumbled.

puppetmaster999 01-25-2011 01:09 AM

Dimitri was sitting quietly. He didn't turnwhen the other person came in. He was too busy in his own thoughts to bother noticing. He brought himself back to the day he first entered these caves. He was young, only about eight, and he and his friend Shavin were exploring and he ran ahead. Dimitri thried to catch up but Shavin was a lot faster than he was. Dimitri didn't know of his powers at this time and only heard somehing thud and when he went to where the sound came from he saw Shavin down the bottom of a chasm. That day stayed with him forever. They never recovered the body.

Dimitri sat quietly waiting for Kael to give any pertenent information.

AlphaWesternWolf 01-25-2011 01:26 AM

Xavier looked at Kael a moment, making sure all was well before looking to Zrech. Really, he didn't know what to say to any of them. Stepping towards the woman he leaned his hip against the stone and looked down at her.

Raising a hand he closed is eyes, concentrating on pulling a bit of water out of the air to cover his hand. Opening his eyes once more he ran his hand down the girls face, removing any dust from her skin, though the 'water-glove' never seemed to leave his hand. The water was cool though, seeing as the cave was as well.

As he did this he watched her face, looking for any signs of movement. "I wonder who she is, and who placed her here." His voice was soft, more as though he was talking to himself, thinking out loud, than anything else.

Allanasha 01-25-2011 01:30 AM

"I'd much rather know why her mind is screaming," Zrech replied, curtly, his eyes focused on the sleeping girl.

Suddenly, the girl arched off the bed with a gasping scream. Her arms jerked up from their relaxed position to try and fight off some unseen foe.

Isaac Levis 01-25-2011 01:58 AM

The voices in the room were dulled and left a ringing in his ear as Kael began to sit up. By no means was this level of disorientation normal but at the same time it was not unheard of. That and his initial attempt to communicate seemed to put his friends at ease which was exactly what he was going for.

As Kael pushed himself up off the floor he felt an overwhelming soreness in his muscles an ache that mimicked days of grueling exercise. Then without warning she began to scream. Immediately Kael threw his hands onto his ears in an futile attempt to quite the noise.

As a reaction he began shouting. Kael's head pounded as he regained his composure moments later. Forcing himself to quite he managed to bring himself to his feet and look again at the girl who left him dazed, twice.

There she lay kicking, screaming, and punching. Kael struggled to take in breaths as he stood there waiting for his voice to come back to him.

"Her future... It is... Amazingly complicated.", He finally revealed, "There was very little I could take away from my vision."

omglol 01-25-2011 02:17 AM

Melora stood in a shock as the girl started sceaming. She could take yelling and such, but this kind of thing could take anyone by surprise. Not only that, but the once calm sleeping woman kicked and punched the air for no apparent reason. It even seemed like she still was sleeping!

"Well, this is weird," Melora muttered. "Is she still asleep? What was that Kael? Did you say that her future was complicated? I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you very well."

Still amazed, Melora stood there, for there seemed to be nothing else to do. Never before had there been such a weird day for her. First the crack, next the room, then the girl, and now this! Will this girl ever wake up?

puppetmaster999 01-25-2011 02:25 AM

Dimitri looked at the girl in shock. What's up? He did the first thing that came to mind. He wipes her brow and tried to calm her, humming a lullaby he used to hear in the orphanage. He didn't expect it to work.

fairywaif 01-25-2011 03:29 AM

Alatheia peered into the cavern.
"That girl. Is she hurt?"
Her healing powers could help any wounds the girl had. She seemed fine, but perhaps she'd been put into some sort of coma to stop a disease. of course, if they weren't able to heal it then there was no way she'd be able to heal her now. But still, she could try. She was surprised by how well furnished the place was. And how well hidden. She pondered why anyone would conceal a place like this, and why is it was so nice. Questions for later.

Cloaked Hatter 01-25-2011 06:25 AM

Wyvern sat by the fire, staring into the flames and only paying half a mind to the conversation. Feeling restless, she decided to explore a bit, see some of the other caverns. Walking along, she heard a scream. Fearing the worst, she tore off down the cavern, hearing the screaming coming out of a large hole in the wall.

Seeing that a girl on a bed was the source of the screams, she looked around at all the other occupants of the small room. "Um, don't know if this would be proper, but shouldnt we restrain her so she doesn't hurt herself?" she asked, speaking loud enough to be heard over the pain-filled sounds.
