Frankie stood up and followed Steel into the bathroom, where she watched as he pushed a rock and suddenly there was a room. Frankie took a step back, she was surprised. She curiously furrowed her brows and walked up behind him, looking at the pedestals. Frankie stared at the other box in the room and smiled, "I would love to." she said, walking up to the empty pedestal, placing her own life in the center of it. She heard a sigh come from the little box where her Spirit was now settled. Frankie turned and looked at Steel with a soft smile on her face. She was still wearing the red Tunic she'd put on after her bath the previous day. She played with the hem that was just in reach of her arms when they were down. |
Steel looked at the two boxes, as he watched his box began to glow. He forgot how nice it was to see, for it had been lacking of anything for some time now. He watched as he glowed just a bit brighter when Frankie placed her box down. "It hasn't glowed like that since I died." he said softly. He looked into her eyes and softly smiled. "You make my heart happy." he said mostly joking, but being completely honest. He gently took her hands in his own. "How do you feel?" he asked softly, when all he really wanted to do was kiss her.
|
Frankie smiled and shook her head "You haven't got it yet..." she said, grabbing his hand and pulling him close, taking his arms and wrapping his arms around her small waist "I can read your mind." she said softly, winking at him. "And I feel ... Nothing, anymore." she said, literally and figuratively speaking. "As long as I'm safe, I guess I feel fine." she replied, looking around the dark room. [[SORRY IT'S SO SHORT.]] |
Steel held her close. "You will feel again. I promise." he said as he looked into her eyes. He liked having her so close. "If you can read my mind then you know this is already coming." he said softly as he gently brought his right hand to her cheek and pulled her into a kiss. With his other arm he pulled her even closer to him. "We were meant to be." He whispered softly into her ear. Steel then kissed her again, this time with a be more spice.
|
Frankie's eyes widened and then she almost went limp, but managed to keep herself standing, mostly. Frankie kissed him back, shutting her eyes. "We might be.." she whispered before Steel's lips were again locked with hers. She shut her eyes tight again, wrapping her arms around his neck. When she kissed back, something in her gut told her to stop, and then there was a knock on the door. Instantly, Frankie pulled away and looked down to the floor, adjusting her sweater dress. "Steel. I need you a minute. The sun's down." Julian's voice boomed into the room. How long were they in the room for. Frankie blinked and looked up at Steel. "You're being summoned." she said, pointing to the door. |
It took Steel a moment to realize what was going on. "It looks that way." he said, as he let his arms fall to the side. He walked over to the door, and slowly opened it. He looked at Julian, and glanced back at Frankie, "I'll be back." he said. His manner wasn't as happy as it once was. Steel walked out of his room, closing the door behind him. "Julian is everything all right?" he asked. He was concerned about something, it was as if the news was going to be bad. "What's going on?" he asked.
|
Julian looked at Steel with darkened eyes "She needs to start now." he said, pointing into the room where Frankie was. "She's progressed faster than any vampire I've ever met." Julian said, crossing his arms and hanging his head "I need us to start right away." he said, then placing a hand on Steel's shoulder. "And don't get too attached." he said lightly, in a low toned voice so only Steel could hear. Frankie wandered to the door and pressed her ear against it to listen in on the conversation. She heard Julian say she needed to start her training today. She stepped back and sat in the middle of the floor. She was wondering what this training could entail. She fiddled with her nails again and just through to herself. |
"well shouldn't she have a day to adjust to this life?" He asked considered for her safety, and the safety of any humans that might be around. "but if its your wish master, I'll do as you ask." he said looking into Julians eyes. "Attached, I thought it was Natural for a maker to be attached to there first." he softly under his breath. It was the first time in a long time that he didn't understand why his master was telling him this. He bowed to his master. "I'll prepare her." Steel said as he watched his master walk away to his study.
Steel walked into the room, and went over to the dresser. "We need to get ready." he said softly. He grabbed his leather clothing, and gently tossed some ladies clothing on the bed. "Put that on." he said as he began to undress. He fist started by putting on a muscle shirt, then a light brown shirt, then the leather. He then put the leather pants on, with his boots. "Trust me your going to be glad you have those cloths on instead of the other." he said softly. |
Frankie jumped when Steel came back into the room. She watched as he placed the clothing on the bed. Frankie watched Steel wide eyed as he so easily undressed in front of her. She gulped as she saw his bare chest as she looked away, she took a deep breath. His body was so muscular and toned. She then turned around and looked to the clothes with her hand in her sleeve, covering her mouth. "Okay..." she said. "Uhmm.." Frankie started, taking her hand away from her mouth, she half smiled and looked to the ground, playing with her finger nails "Could you turn around.." she asked him politely, uncomfortable with the idea of undressing in front of him. |
Steel smiled, as he walked into the bathroom. He was more then happy to have Frankie by his side, and hoped it was true, that they would be together for a long time. He liked her a lot and it had more to do with it then just being her maker. There was something about her that set him on fire, she was his blazing light. "Yeah I need to wash my face anyway." he said threw the door. "What do you want to do after training?" he asked her as he splashed water on his face.
|
Frankie smiled and looked to the clothes. Changing into them, there was a long pair of black pants, wasn't exactly leather, she wasn't sure what they were made out of. Frankie slipped the pants on around her hips and did up the button, she was rather curious how these people.. vampires, new her clothing sizes. The three tops that were on the bed still. She took a deep breath, removing her red top and grabbing what looked like the first piece to her outfit. It was a tank top, thin strapped. She slipped it over her head as it snugly fit around her torso. The other was a brown muscle tank that she threw on. The thicker straps covered the thin ones underneath. Finally, a jacket that matched the pants and form fitted around her body. "Huh, not bad..." she said to herself. "What is there to do.." she asked in return, doing up the zipper on the jacket. She went to the dresser where she opened the bottom drawer to find a bag, filled with make up. She sighed in relief and threw on some dark eye liner and a deep red lip stick. She looked at herself in a small mirror and shrugged "Good enough." she said, messing up her hair into soft curls. "There." Frankie said and walked to the bathroom door. "Are you gonna take me around town, or something?" she said, crossing her arms. |
Jay shook his head, “No he wouldn’t do that. At l-least not t-t-that I know of.” His eyes darted over to Steel and an apologetic look was present. Running a hand against the back of his neck, James clacked his teeth together, mimicking a metronome at its fastest speed. The hall shrouded the vampire, but you could still see his face and arms from the light in Steel’s room. Frankie startled him when she pointed out that he was familiar to her, but she also brought up his skittish tendencies. He fled to his room and dropped onto his bed quietly. Something about the girl set Jay off. She made him more nervous than he already was, but he knew not to cross another vampire’s ‘treasure’.
Jay curled up on his bed, staring at the wall adjacent to him. There was a picture of him before he was turned by Julian. Looking at the photo of himself brought back painful memories of the intense process that he’d endured to become what he was that day. Everyone saw someone that was important to them, but he had no one. There was no one that he had that wanted him, James was always classified as an undesirable and this hurt him deeply. His eyes began to burn viciously until he broke into an echoing snivel. Jay coiled his body even tighter than before and cried himself to sleep. |
Frankie's ear twitched. She looked behind her at the door to her and Steel's room. She blinked again. "Where's Jay's room..." she asked out loud, not really expecting an answer. She walked to the door when Steel put water to his face and she steadily opened it, quietly sneaking out. She creeped down the halls, not wanting to be caught by Julian again. He scared her. Frankie crept down the halls, trying her best to not make the floor creak. She pressed her ear to a couple of doors till she came upon one where she thought she heard someone crying. Frankie knocked. No answer. "Jay, is that you in there..." she asked softly, as to not catch anyones attention. |
Steel finished washing his face, as he did so he grabbed a towel and dried his face. He then walked out the bathroom, just to fined that Frankie was no longer in there room. He slightly growled with eratation. Steel walked out of there room and looked about the hall way. He spotted her at Jays door, he quickly walked up to her and gently grabbed her by "What are you thinking?" he said softly. "I thought you would wait for me..." he said as he began to walk with her the other way. "We have to start your training today." he said softly. "Jay knew that to..." he said, as he rolled his eyes. Steel felt as though he was dragging her behind him, so he stopped for a moment, "you can talk to him after training." he said.
|
Frankie bit her tongue as he spoke, her face distorted with irritation herself. When he turned around she spoke "And who says you can tell me when and who I can and cannot socialize with..." she said darkly, eyeing him. "I realize I have to do this training but he seems rather upset. And I'm not one to just let someone sit there and cry. I'm not like you guys, letting me sit in that room by myself." Frankie muttered and pulled her arm from his grasp. "Don't talk to me like a child." she hissed and walked passed him, realizing she didn't know the way, she stopped, standing with her arms crossed. She was upset. Steel didn't have to be so obnoxious about this, she was just concerned for Jay. That was all... |
Steel glared back at her, his eyes softened up a bit. "Jay can be unstable some time." Steel said as he looked at her, and saw how upset she really was. "I'm sorry I was wrong to take you away like that." he said hoping that his sorry would fix it. "I just am concerned I don't think your ready for training yet, Julian insist we start right away though." he said softly. "I will show you to the room. I don't know if he'll let me stay or not." he avoided the 'leaving her in the room' conversation. He knew that she would understand why they did it, when she was a bit older. Steel gently touched her shoulder. "I'm not use to this." he said softly.
|
Frankie looked up at him and shrugged "I'm better at learning things on my own." she replied coldly, her arms still crossed. "Steel! Is she ready!" Julian's deep voice boomed from a few flights down. Frankie looked down the stairs and blinked, before gulping down hard. "Is it gonna be hard, and scary?" she asked him, her eyes looking at Steel with more concern than ever. [[Short post is VERY short... My badddd, yo.]] |
Steel smiled at her "Hard yes, scary no, Julian is a good teacher, a hard teacher." Steel said as he gently took Frankie's hand in his own. "Let go love, he's not very patient." Steel said with a smile. "We coming Julian." Steel shouted down the stairs. Steel gently kissed her hand, "This way my dear." he said gently as he let go of her hand, but held his out for her to take. He looked deep into her eyes and softly smiled. "You'll be good and tired when dawn comes around." he said almost laughing.
Julian sat in his chair waiting for the two to come in. He was a bit irritated. Julian softly taped his foot to a beat. The beat was an old song that he learned as a young child, though he taped softly, the sound echoed threw out the room. Pictures of his brothers and sister flooded his mind, how they use to play in the hay fields, and help the master with the chores, or nights with the master after his wife and daughter were killed. He remembered that his master took the slaves in as if they were family. He let out a soft laugh thinking about all the good time's he had with his master. |
Frankie nodded and followed closely behind Steel. She blinked nervously as she walked down the stairs. She took a deep breath to get herself together. It was rare Frankie got nervous, she was more nervous at the fact that she didn't know what the training actually entailed. No one really told her much of anything in this place. Which, to Frankie, was VERY frustrating. In her human life, Frankie was a very fit and active person. She was always running around, and she was a Yoga Teacher as a full time job. She let out a sigh as Steel and herself approached Julian's office. (I assume that's where we're going first, lol.] Steel, opened the door for her and Frankie stepped in. Locking gazes with Julian, her jaw clenched out of anxiety. Julian was a very attractive man in her eyes, he was large, muscular and his chocolate skin tone would make anyone melt. SHe tried to hide her stare, to avoid it being seen by both Steel and Julian. Frankie sniffed inwards to herself, staring at the floor and playing with her nails. |
Steel gently squeezed her hand. "Everything will be fine." he whispered softly. "Julian, may I stay for the first night of training?" He said as he let go of Frankie's hand. Steel and Julians eyes meet in a dead lock. "I would prefer if you didn't. I want her to get the full training with me. She'll start her hunting training with you later this week." Julian said.He looked to the young Frankie."Welcome to the rest of eternity." he said, as he got up out of his chair. Standing to his full potential, he looked down at Frankie. "Are you ready, I know what you can see, and what you can do." he said. A twisted smiled formed across his lips, "Okay Steel you dismissed." Julian said. Steel did as he was told and looked at Frankie. "Good luck." he said softly.
|
Frankie gulped and blinked at Julian, and when he stood, if she had a heart. It would have stopped.. Again. Frankie held her breath lightly as Steel and Julian spoke, her eyes darting back and forth from each of them. In the back of her mind, she pictured the two brawling over her. The idea was amusing to an extent. She was binded to Steel , he was her maker and savior. Julian, he seemed powerful, mischievous and confident within himself. Which Frankie admired, and could only imagine herself n that position eventually. When Julian stood up and spoke to her, her white eyes widened with intimidation. Her stomach felt uneasy when he stated that she knew what he could do. "Not to be rude, sir. But I severely doubt you know anything about what I can do." she replied in the most polite tone she could. "You don't know the risks behind it." she said, bowing her head. She knew she needed to use manner with him, if she wanted to stay on his good side. |
Julian looked at Frankie the smile faded a bit. "Then tell me. Tell me how it work." his deep rich voice seemed to echo threw out the small room, though his volume never rose. His smiled soon came back to his face. "We chose you for your powers, everyone here has them. We are the elite." he spoke softly. "I know that you can talk to the dead... Am I right?" he asked. "There are other clans if you wish not to use your power, we could send you to one of them." he said. Julian waited to see what Frankie would say. He like the fact that she had guts, that was a nice change. Steel had tested Julian a few time, but Julian could tell that Frankie would be quite different.
(sorry its short) |
Frankie nodded "It's not just that. I can read what you think. I can see what colors surround you. And they tell me what you're like." she said "The risks of talking to the dead are ... sometimes devastating. I've had my body taken over, my family used to get threatened all the time by things they couldn't see. It's not something amateurs should be toying with." said Frankie, her voice stern, standing her ground. "It's not that I want to be sent away. It's that I wish not to be exploited for my... gifts, shall we say." she said, her hands now at her sides. Frankie looked at Julian's smile with what seemed like a cold stare, but she was just examining him, seeing what his smile could really mean. "It's rare I read thoughts. But if you have something on your mind. Just say it, because it's not as if you can hide it from me." she said, tilting her head curiously to the side. "What I can do, is not a toy. It's not an every day occurrence and not everyone can do it. I know what Vampires are capable of. And what I do, is not one of those things." Frankie said, crossing her arms "What about this training. What did you have in mind?" she said, getting right to the point. |
"We need you to not only learn how to fight, but also use your 'gifts'" he said, as he grabbed two wouldn't medal fighting sticks from the wall. He threw one at Frankie. "You will learn how to block out spirits." he said as he began to circle around her. "Do you know how old I am?" he asked. He said it out loud in his head. Julian was still circling around Frankie. "We will start with the mind reading, while fighting." he said as he swung at her. Julian wasn't planing on going light on Frankie, mostly because he knew that she had to be strong. She change in less the a week, so Julian knew that there was something more to this girl. Julian then pined her to the wall with the stick pressed up to her neck. "keep your eyes open at all times." he said.
|
Frankie gasped as he swung at her. Her body went backwards, fully avoiding the swing, her eyes shut, she heard the question and she was suddenly underneath the bar, the metal was hard against her throat, between a gasp. "1257." she wheeze, before she knew it, her knee had slipped up between the two and she shoved Julian back. "At least, that's what you tell people. Your REAL age is 3440." she said with a smirk. "But don't worry. Your secret is sage with me." Frankie said, joking tone of voice as she winked, gripping the metal rod he'd tossed to her strong in her hand. "I already know how to block them out. It's not that I have an issue with. It's when you're open doing a reading. That's when everything gets real." she said, swinging the rod around her as hard as she could, aiming for his ribs. Frankie knew this was going to be a lot harder than it looked. She was just blinding swinging, hoping to hit her target. She knew it was a bad idea, but at the moment didn't care. "And what makes you think I'm so different from everyone else!" Frankie said loudly, taking another thought from Julian's mind. "I hope you don't mind me intruding." she said, referring to her in his head. |
