Curry didn't seem so happy about the thought of being the first person to confront Elizabeth, especially if she was now awake. He himself was a beast when he woke up and didn't want to be bothered with anyone or anything at all other than high-calorie, sugary, caffeine-laden energy drinks. He was the rare kind of person who could not stand coffee.

"...Fine. But if you hear fighting, I'd suggest bringing up some pain medication for her," he hummed before turning away and heading for the stairs. He had a feeling this wasn't going to be pretty, and he took caution when he finally reached the door and turned the handle, going to step inside...

This left Mycroft all alone with Marcus. He didn't follow Curry when he mentioned that there might be fighting--he didn't like being around people when they fought.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-28-2011 06:42 AM

Marcus looked up when Curry left, a bit surprised that Mycroft stayed behind, though he smiled, "Glad I'm not the only one sane enough to stay out of that room." He said before patting the couch next to him, "Come on hun, I don't bite, come sit and explain to me why you were careless enough to get so sick." He had no shame, didn't think any conversations were out of bounds, regardless of when they'd met.

-------

Elizabeth almost had to sit from the lack of energy, but she heard foot steps on the stairs, and she pressed herself against the wall, waiting as they opened the door, and didn't move a muscle until whoever it was stepped in the room, then she took a swing at the back of his shoulders, not wanting to hit them in the head, but she still had to play it safe.

Mira-Charma13 01-28-2011 06:49 AM

Mycroft shuffled forward uncertainly at first, but he did sit down next to Marcus, leaving some space between them. "I don't like biting people," he said, simply. "I just don't. So...I don't unless I'm forced to."

Curry had his guard down at first but he noticed, his eyes attuned to the darkness of the room, that the bed was empty just as he saw something move out of the corner of his eyes. A square blow was laid behind his shoulders--it surprised him a bit but did little damage. There was not much that could cause his kind a lot of pain...and the hit was weak.

He turned around, not wanting any more blows thrown, and grabbed his attacker's arms, holding them high above them both.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-28-2011 07:19 AM

Marcus nodded to show he understood, giving a sympathetic smile, "Is it because they don't always know what you're doing? Because there are plenty of humans out here that would gladly let you do it, even if you told them what you would do. You may not like it, but if you don't start doing it, you'll end up like you were soon and there won't be anyway to bring you back. You'll just keep biting, anyone and everyone, and you won't care." He wanted to say he'd seen the damage a blood crazed vampire could do, the scars on Elizabeth's back were the result of one, he'd just kept slashing at her flesh, didn't even notice the other slayers driving mental into him until he was dead. He kept quiet about it though, giving her time to keep her secret, and sadly looked back at his book. "It's just not a pretty sight."

----------------

Elizabeth wasn't sure what she'd been expecting, but her attack didn't do anything at all and it caught her off guard. The moment he grabbed her arms she winced and dropped the drawer, and hurt enough that she had to close her eyes, and when they were pulled above her head she let out a small growl of pain, jumping she placed a foot on her attackers hip, ready to kick off him in an attempt to break his hold. However when she opened her eye to do so, she froze, looking confused and just stared at him. "....Curry?"

Mira-Charma13 01-28-2011 07:32 AM

The look on Mycroft's face was akin to the face of a child that had just been struck. He dropped his baby blue eyes to the ground, an air of guilt surrounding him. "...Curry is always there to stop me," he reminded him, sounding a little hollow. "I don't want to bite people. I can't do it. I've tried. He puts himself in danger stealing packs of blood from hospitals for me...I feel bad...but I just can't do it unless I've temporarily lost my mind."

It was true. Mycroft could not bite people when he was not starved. He would try and then chicken out, running away before Curry could catch him.

Curry gently set Elizabeth back down on the ground once he saw that she had calmed down. "...Yes?" he replied, sounding somewhat smug. "I'm merely coming to check on you. You're injured. I was wondering if you wanted something for any pain you might have...or something to eat."

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-28-2011 07:43 AM

Marcus felt bad for making him look so sad, and gently patted his leg for comfort, "You did so just fine earlier, didn't hurt me even a little, and I didn't go screaming off into the night. Maybe you just need to try feeding from a friend, then your brother won't be in trouble and you won't loose your mind." He offered, feeling like if Elizabeth found out he was offering to be a donor, she'd shoot him on the spot.

----------

Elizabeth just stared at him, mildly confused for almost a full minute after he asked his questions before she seemed to snap back awake. That was how she'd gotten here, she'd blacked out shortly after seeing Curry. Then she realized her phone wasn't in her pocket, and Marcus was going to be unhappy. Forgetting his questions completely she went from confused, to worried. "Shit!" She cursed out, ignoring her injuries for the moment as she pushed past him to run out and down the stairs. "How long have I been here? Where's my phone? Shit, shit, shi-"

"Women would you stop cussin'. Man saves your life and you have to ruin it in five minutes by swearing your brains out." Marcus bit out at her when she came running in the room, looking for her phone, though he smirked when he saw she had forgotten she was only in her jeans and bra at the moment.

Elizabeth looked overjoyed to see him at first, then looked angry, "What the hell are you doing here? What's going on?" She asked looking at everyone at least once before staring at him, "Not answering my phone doesn't mean you barge in to find me, what if they'd been serial killers? Or worse? You'd be dead." She snapped at him, growing more angry when he just continued to smile. Then he picked up a shirt off the ground and smugly held it out.

"Yes but if I was dead, I'd at least still have my shirt on."

Blushing, she reached forward to snatch her shirt away, and face three shades of red tugged it back on before she seemed to notice Mycroft. At first she assumed he was someone new, then she realized she'd recognize him no matter how sick he looked. "You're looking much better."

Mira-Charma13 01-28-2011 07:50 AM

"Maybe...I don't know. It just scares me..." Mycroft sighed, reaching up to scratch his head, when he was suddenly startled out of his thinking by the sounds of pounding footsteps and explicit cursing. He noticed the woman from before, Elizabeth, making her way through the living room with Curry hot on her heels.

He first noticed her anger and then noticed that she was topless and covered in bandages--Curry had probably had to take her shirt off to do his bandaging work. He wasn't using to seeing much nudity from girls, seeing as Curry tended to bring more men over to the house than women, so the jumble of colors in his cheeks mirrored those of hers.

"...Yeah..." He didn't know what else to say to her statement.

Curry chuckled, leaning back against the wall to watch the situation unfold. "My apologies. I had to take your shirt off to apply the bandages. Now, would you like something for the pain, or something to eat?" Curry and Mycroft kept human food in the house. Though it had no effect on their stomachs, it still tasted good...

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-28-2011 08:04 AM

Elizabeth sighed and rubbed her temples, two of them had known she was topless and not one had tried to put it back on before putting her in bed. Marcus she understood just wasn't phased by it, the other two though, well they were strangers and it was weird. "Some juice and a bullet?" She asked, sarcasm filling her voice, sounding a bit more snippy than she'd meant. Instantly though she cringed when a shoe connected with her shin and she glared at Marcus.

Marcus just gave her a look, one that clearly said to be polite or she'd end up blowing what small cover she had left.

So she forced a small, "Juice and the strongest pain meds you have...please." She added on at the end before carefully sitting down in a chair, out of kicking distance from her friend.

Mira-Charma13 01-28-2011 08:09 AM

Curry shrugged himself away from the wall to fetch the requested juice and pain medication. He didn't seem phased by how rude she'd been. He was wondering, now that she seemed to be all right, just what had happened to her. he hadn't smelled the dead vampires--he'd been too concerned about her.

Mycroft was wondering the same thing. He stayed put where he was, suspicion and a bit of fear cloaking his expression. He did not know whether or not it was safe to trust her. He was much more vulnerable than his sire was even though he was in vampiric terms very old. He was clumsy and didn't know how to fight...Curry had always defended him.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-28-2011 09:36 AM

When the tension became to much to take, Marcus finally asked what he was sure the others wanted to know. "So out with it, what happened?" He asked, certain she'd make up a story close enough to the truth it would sound believable.

Elizabeth looked up at the question, finally catching on that no one knew what had jumped her. Marcus knew, but the other two didn't or she doubted Curry would've saved her. So she just frowned and looked at her lap, "I was on my way to the office, I don't remember how everything happened but three men jumped me, I always carry a blade with me for safety and...I guess I just got in some lucky shots, enough for them to at least let me go apparently." She said, even getting her voice to shake a little bit, as if she a bit shaken from what had happened, maybe even scared.

Mira-Charma13 01-29-2011 04:32 AM

Mycroft frowned, his eyes looking rather remorseful. He believed her...then again, he hadn't been himself at all when the whole thing happened, so it was understandable that he was fooled so easily. That and he was a bit gullible anyway...

Curry did not seem so convinced, as he walked back in with the desired pills and a glass of cold juice. He idly sniffed the air and noted that there were remaining scent traces of saliva from one of his own kind. Perhaps she had been attacked by vampires...or just one? But then how did she escape? Certainly a normal human couldn't escape on her own...unless...

He didn't make any assumptions just yet, but his suspicion was rising. "You are welcome to stay here until you recover," he offered, holding out the glass and the pills to her.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-29-2011 06:16 AM

Elizabeth happily took the pills, trying to read his face, but if he thought she was lying, he didn't show it, so she tossed them back and followed it with half the glass. Ready to insist that Marcus would be able to take her home so she wouldn't be such a bother.

Marcus smiled before she could answer, "Wonderful, cause I'm too tired to drive and she's too busted up, and now on pain meds, to drive anywhere. Do you have another guest bed or shall we draw straws to see who should bunk together?"

She tossed him an unfriendly look, he wasn't even trying to be smooth about getting her in bed with the guy, he was a firm believer that if someone saves your life, it could be love, why he hadn't finished her off she didn't know, but Marcus was just too focused on her having a date more than who the date was.

Mira-Charma13 01-29-2011 06:19 AM

"We have one guest room," Curry revealed, idly. "The bed is small, so only one person can fit in it, most likely. I'm willing to share my bed with someone if it's needed."

"Me, too," Mycroft agreed, nodding profusely. Usually people were only brought to their home by Curry for his own entertainment purposes...and...it was kind of nice to have guests for once. Mycroft was normally a social, friendly person who loved having contact with other people. But because of his species, socializing was often a bad idea.

Curry didn't seem to like that Mycroft had offered up his bed. His overprotective, parental side came out as he glanced in the boy's direction, but he said nothing.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-29-2011 07:07 AM

"Well that's perfect, small beds are never any good for recovery, and since you two are all right so cozy I'm sure you'll be fine sharing a bed. And I'll just bunk with Mycroft to make sure he doesn't get sick again."

Elizabeth shot him another look but this time he didn't let it go unnoticed, "Don't look at me like that I'll behave myself, unlike some people I can wait past the first night."

If there had been a wall within her reach, she'd have put her head through it. "I hate you."

"You'll get over it, besides, by now the meds are kicking in, you'll pass out wherever we put you. I think your savior earned some cuddle time."

He was right, she wasn't in pain, which mean she was beyond drowsy and high at the moment, so she just shrugged, "Fine, just put me in a damn bed with whoever so I can sleep before these make me delusional."

Mira-Charma13 01-29-2011 07:13 AM

The look on Curry's face was a mixture between smug satisfaction, abhorrence at Marcus' statement about sleeping with his younger companion, and weariness. He was tired and just wanted to rest...for now, anyway. There was a chance that things would change once they laid down in bed together, but for now all he wanted to do was rest.

"...Fine. Since that's settled, come with me." Curry gently wrapped his cool fingers around Elizabeth's arm and tugged her towards the stairs, leading her up to his room. It was the biggest bedroom in the house, though it wasn't giant...it was also rather plain. He hid most of his belongings in his closet, out of sight.

Mycroft just stood there, looking like he felt a little embarrassed about sharing the same bed with someone else.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-29-2011 07:18 AM

Elizabeth let him lead the way, glad for the help walking again, it was becoming rather bothersome after her small act of violence in the guest bedroom. She did glance around the room, but the moment her eyes landed on the bed, she made her way towards it, kicking her shoes off in the process, and since it wasn't anything new after today, tossed her shirt with it before crawling onto the bed, under the covers, and giving a sigh of relief when she finally laid down on her and her head hit the pillow, a small moan following, "This bed....is so...comfy..."

Marcus watched the two leave, and when he looked at Mycrofts nervous face he smiled, "You'll be fine. I promised to behave." He reassured before standing and lightly taking his hand, "After you." He said, gesturing for him to lead the way since he had no idea where the boys room was.

Mira-Charma13 01-29-2011 07:22 AM

Curry followed her. He had a smile on his face and he chuckled at her comment. He usually just slept in comfy sweatpants, so he was standing by the bed near his dresser digging in it, looking for a clean pair. "I'm glad you think so. Get some rest--I'll be joining you in just a moment. I need to change into comfier clothing."

Mycroft fidgeted slightly, unsure if he believed him or not, but he led the way down the hall, taking a left. His room was on the first floor. It was smaller than Curry's but much more decorative. He seemed to love the ocean--he had an aquarium and his room was nearly all blue.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-29-2011 07:28 AM

Elizabeth was ready to follow the order and just pass out, till he mentioned getting changed, then for some reason the drugs decided she didn't want sleep that badly just yet. So she whined instead, "No fair, I want clean comfy clothes to sleep in. I probably got your bed dirty wearing my jeans in it."

Marcus was almost like Elizabeth, he didn't wait in the doorway or around the room to let the awkward silence thicken, instead he made his way over to the bed, discarding everything but his boxers before laying down under the covers giving a small yawn, "If I snore feel free to just smack me till I stop."

Mira-Charma13 01-29-2011 07:31 AM

"I have clothing you can wear but it'll be giant on you. And the blood is all dried--it won't ruin the sheets. I'll pick something out." Curry had chosen a simple pair of red sweatpants to sleep in, but he kept the drawer open and rummaged through it just a bit longer. He pulled out one of his big, baggy black shirts and a pair of gray sweatpants and set them beside her on the bed.

Mycroft hesitated before heading straight for his dresser, to get some cozy clothing for the night. He wore sweatpants, like Curry did, or shorts. He nabbed a pair of white shorts and scuttled into the bathroom to change.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-29-2011 07:41 AM

She managed to sit up and grab the pajamas, even stand so she could tug the shirt over her head. He hadn't been kidding, it was large on her, so much that it fell just above her knees. Tossing her jeans and bra on the floor, she figure it was long enough that she'd be safe without the sweatpants on, she was just use to sleeping in, well most of the time nothing because she's shower and then just pass out under her covers. Once the shirt was on, she curled back up under the covers, "Much better, thank you." She said with a smile, though wondered if she should thank him for helping her now or later, her vote was on a bit later.

Marcus smiled at how shy the boy was, for a vampire who could have anyone he wanted whenever he wanted, he certainly was bashful. It made him wonder how long he'd been a vampire or how he'd become one. There was always the chance his changed had been a violent accident, but Marcus didn't want to assume anything. So to keep his promise, by the time he was done changing, Marcus had his eyes closed making an attempt to fall asleep.

Mira-Charma13 01-29-2011 07:45 AM

Curry tossed the abandoned sweatpants back in the dresser, heading off towards the bathroom to change into his pants. "You're welcome. Get some rest." He disappeared into the bathroom wordlessly and returned just a moment later with nothing but those pants on. They were just a bit low cut. In the light of his room his many tattoos and piercings were more visible than in the darkness of the club.

Mycroft returned just a moment later with nothing but those shorts on--he got too hot if he wore a shirt at night. He hesitated by his bedside again before crawling under the blankets and settling down to sleep. He kept a good bit of distance between himself and Marcus, mostly out of embarrassment.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-29-2011 07:50 AM

Elizabeth almost fell asleep, but the moment he walked out of the bathroom, she cracked and eye just to see what he was doing, and before she could stop both eyes were open and she just stared at him while he made his way across the room. If she had to, she'd blame the drugs for such girlish behavior. "They're beautiful." She said softly, though not sure if she meant the tattoos or the piercings, she was going with tattoos, but didn't add it on, allowing the compliment to apply for both.

While Marcus was a bit disappointed by the distance, he knew he was working with someone who wasn't a real social butterfly. So he rolled onto his back, which closed the distance a good amount, but still left a few inches between them for comfort, he didn't want to push the boy to do anything he didn't want to, but at least this way if he wanted to get closer, he had the option.

Mira-Charma13 01-29-2011 07:54 AM

Curry wasn't exactly sure what she meant--the piercings, the tattoos, or the sheer amount of muscle he had. "Thank you," was his simple response. He made his way over to the free side of the bed and settled in beneath the blankets, letting out a sigh of relief. He normally didn't sleep until morning broke, but he was exhausted from everything that had happened.

Mycroft was a social person...but he wasn't used to being so close to someone else, particularly someone else who was nearly naked in his bed with him. He jumped a little when Marcus rolled over, shortening the distance between them, but he couldn't move over any farther or he would end up falling off of the bed. So he stayed put, his eyelids drifting closed.

Mad Hatters Revenge 01-29-2011 07:58 AM

Seeming like she wasn't bashful at all, the moment he was under the blankets she rolled onto her side to allow her fingers to trace over the tattoo on his left arm, starting at his wrist, taking her time as she traced every inch up his arm and onto his chest. If she didn't think about it, she wouldn't blush, she was simply enjoying the artwork and how it felt on skin. She almost felt like she could simply fall asleep tracing it over and over again.
