Sora continued to ride in silence. He still didn't know what to talk about with the other male, but the silence was becoming unbearable. He looked at the silvernette though when he heard the other ask him if there was anywhere else that he wanted to go. He thought for a moment and then said,"I do actually. That small diner that you like. Let's go there." Sora knew that he needed to talk with the silvernette about what was going on.
Axel looked at the blonde and nodded his head. He hadn't found any sexier clothing that he wanted to bring with him. It was rather bland in colors, but any of the clothes that he found he knew for a fact would look really good on the other male. "Alright," said Axel as he looked at the blonde. "Let's head out then." Walking out of the room he began making his way towards the door as he waited for Roxas. |
Riku smiled lightly and nodded. "That sounds nice." he said. It's been awhile since he's eaten outside of the palace and he thought this could be an interesting experience. Plus, with Sora, it could be even more enjoyable. Besides, it'll give them a chance to talk. They most definitely needed too and he hoped this wasn't going to end up being an awkward conversation. The silverette wanted them to get along and quite possibly grow closer to the point where they could be in a relationship.
Roxas nodded and followed after Axel quietly. He was kind of regretting the fact that he didn't have any sexy clothes so he could wear for the redhead. He would have enjoyed the experience. The thought of it though caused a blush to spread across his face. He took a deep breath to get rid of it before his lover noticed. |
Sora smiled as he continued to snuggle into the silvernettes side as the continued to ride towards the diner that they would be eating at. They had a lot to talk about, and he hoped that the conversation wouldn't turn into something awkward. He sighed as he looked out towards the various houses and shops. This is where he belonged, not in the city, but with Riku.
Axel was a little sad that Roxas didn't have any form of sexy clothing, but that could and would change with time. Maybe sometime in the near future the 4 of them could go for a shop outing or something. Either way they were heading back to the palace now, unless Roxas wanted to go somewhere else before they went to the palace. Walking out of the house he went to his horse and untied her. "Roxas, by the way do you want to go anywhere special before we go back to the palace?" |
Riku smiled lightly when he felt Sora snuggled up next to him. That meant the brunette liked him... Right? He hoped so, otherwise he would have just made himself look like a fool when he kissed him earlier. He scanned the various shops and houses before he spotted the diner and he pulled his horse to a stop in front of it. He tied the horse to a pole sitting out front before turning to look at Sora. He held his hand out to help the other get off the horse, not really knowing whether or not he'd need it.
Roxas thought for a moment. Was there anywhere special he wanted to go before they headed back to the palace? "... Well.. There's this pond I go to all the time with my friends. It's really nice and peaceful if you want to see it." he said. It really was a beautiful place to relax. There was a meadow that was filled with flowers in the spring and boulders along one side that they used as a diving board. |
Sora knew this area well, since he had been living around the area for a few months. He knew when they were approaching the diner. He watched as Riku slid off of the horse, and tied it to a pole that was outside. He then took the hand that was offered to him as he slid off of the saddle of the horse. Once he was on the ground he looked at the silvernette and smiled a bright wide grin. He simply loved being with the other male, especially when they were doing things that they both liked to do.
Axel listened to the blonde talk as he found himself nodding his head. With the busy life of being the King of all the land that surrounded the town he rarely had time to look at the small things in life, or stop to smell the flowers. One of his advisors even told him that he needed to get outside more and enjoy the weather. That was also the same advisor that said that he was too serious as well. "Sure," said Axel as he held out his hand for Roxas to get on the horse. "Just lead the way once I am on the horse." |
Riku smiled lightly at the sight of Sora's smile. Just seeing it made him happier and he felt bad now about kissing him earlier. The last thing he wanted was to end up having the brunette to hate him now because of the one mistake. He didn't want to think about it right now, so he pushed the thought to the back of his mind. He walked up to the diner and held the door open for Sora to enter first.
Roxas hesitated before reluctantly grabbing hold of Axel's hand and pulling himself up on the horse. This pond wasn't that far from his house.. Just a 10 minute walk. But riding the horse there would be so much faster and then they could spend some more time together. So he pushed his nerves down and pointed off down the road away from his house. "It's that way." |
Sora waited for Riku to come towards him and pass him. Walking through the door that was opened to him he went into the small diner. It was a nice, modest place, and he loved the overall atmosphere. "This is a nice place," said Sora as he looked at interior. A very nice place indeed.
Axel helped Roxas up onto the horse and began getting the blonde onto the horse. Axel nodded as he heard the blonde tell him where to go and he kicked the horse gently in the side as the horse began moving off in that direction. He really wanted to see this pond that Roxas was speaking of. He wanted to spend time and go places where the blonde liked to go. |
Riku nodded as he followed Sora into the diner. It was a nice place it it was actually a place he enjoyed coming to whenever he was in town. "Yeah. It is." he said, taking hold of the brunette's hand and leading him to a booth. Once they were seated, a waitress came over just a few moments later to take their order. The silverette looked at Sora to let him order first.
Even though the horse was going slow, Roxas was finding it hard to relax. It wasn't that he didn't want to, because he did. But he knew that the moment he got off, he'd be perfectly at ease. He kept his eyes open for the turnoff that would lead to a path that would lead them to it. He smiled lightly and pointed off to a dirt trail through the woods. "That way." |
Sora was immediately taken over to one of the booths where he sat down. A menu was placed in front of him as he looked at it. Not really knowing what to order he looked at the menu trying to figure out what he wanted. The waitress came back over and he looked at the two men that were sitting there. Sora knew that Riku would let him pick first, but he had no idea what he wanted, still. Turning to Riku he smiled at him and said,"I'll have whatever he is having."
Axel continued to steer the horse around, noticing that the blonde in front of him was rather tense. He figured that it was because of the horse. "Alright," said Axel as he moved the horse so that it was going down the small dirt path. |
The waitress nodded and turned her attention to Riku. She smiled lightly as she brushed a strand of hair out of her face while she waited for him to order. Riku scanned over the menu before turning his attention to the waitress. "Burger and fries please." she nodded and wrote down his order. She asked what he wanted to drink and he just said water. She nodded again and turned her attention to Sora and repeated the question to him.
It didn't take long, only a few minutes after turning onto the dirt path, that he saw where they had to turn. But where that spot was was too big for the horse. So Roxas turned to look at Axel. "We need to walk from here." he said, eager to be getting off the horse. It was just a two minute walk through the woods and they'd arrive at the pond. |
Sora looked at the silvernette in front of him. A burger and fries did sound good actually. "I'll have the same thing that he is having with a glass of lemonade instead," said Sora as he looked at the waitress. She, too, wrote down his order and then left leaving the two of them alone again. Sora looked around, scanning the crowd, happy to know that people didn't care if he was a prince from another land here.
Axel looked at the blonde and nodded his head as he directed the horse over to a tree where he got off of the saddle and then hooked the reins around a tree branch. "Stay," he said in direction to the horse. "Lead the way." |
Riku waited until the waitress was gone before turning his attention to Sora. He was so happy to finally have this time alone with him after being separated for so long, but he wasn't really sure if the brunette felt the same. And it wasn't as if he could just straight out ask him. So he just went with a different question instead. "So.. How've you been lately?" he asked, leaning back in his seat.
Roxas was so relieved when he was able to get off the horse. When he slid off, his knees buckled, but he managed to stay upright, thankfully. He smiled lightly at Axel before taking hold of the redhead's hand and leading him towards the pond. He didn't want them to get separated, even though there was very slim chance... That, and he just wanted to hold his hand. |
Sora looked at the people in the diner again. He really did like the atmosphere. Maybe, it was the fact that even though the place was packed with people, it still felt like they were the only people there. Sora turned to Riku and looked at him. "I've been alright, I guess. When I first assumed the role of Roxas it was difficult. I had to work really hard. Like labor work, not like practicing for a fencing tournament or something, but legitimate work. It was really hard, but I like having something to do," said Sora as he waited for his food.
Axel walked along the path as he was being led to the pond. He smiled, glad that Roxas wanted to show him something that he liked to go to often. "Are we almost there?" asked Axel as the two of them continued to walk to the pond. |
Riku smiled lightly and nodded. He knew that commoner work was a lot harder than the things a prince would normally do. And, he had to admit, he was surprised that Sora actually pushed his way through it. Surprised, and proud. He knew the brunette wasn't the type who'd give up easily, but there were so many people in the castle that would have given up long before now. "I'm glad to hear that."
Roxas nodded. "Yeah. Just a few more steps." he said. Right as he said that, he pushed past some branches of a tree and stepped into the clearing. He smiled lightly when he seen no-one there. That meant he could actually have some alone time with Axel without anyone interrupting. |
Sora looked at Riku as he smiled he was about to say something else, but then the waitress came back with their food and their drinks. Sora bowed his head a little bit and said thanks, to which the waitress smiled at him and then walked away when she was done. Sora looked at his food wanting to immediately dive into it, but he wanted to wait for the silvernette as well. He didn't want to be rude after all.
Axel was getting rather tired, he had always been used to riding on horses or being taken in carriages everywhere. He was glad though when he heard the blonde say that they were almost there, and then he stopped. They had arrived. He decided not to push ahead of the blonde since he wanted Roxas to show him where they were. |
Riku was curious as to what Sora was about to say and he wished that the waitress had waited just a minute longer. But she didn't, so he smiled politely at her as she set down their food before the silverette turned his attention back to the boy in front of him. He had planned to wait on starting to eat until after he heard what the brunette had to say, but the food smelled so good and his stomach twisted, wanting food in it. He didn't want to seem rude though by eating first... But it looked like Sora was waiting for him, so Riku picked up a fry and started eating, not wanting to go too fast.
Roxas smiled lightly. The area was just as he had remembered it, except for maybe there were a few more rocks. But still, it had a very relaxing atmosphere around it that made all the tension in the blond's body leave immediately. He pulled Axel to the middle of the area before turning his attention to the redhead. "So... What do you think?" he asked, indicating the area. |
Sora could see the hesitant way that Riku looked at him. He was glad, though, that he didn't have to tell Riku to eat before he did as he watched Riku slide a French fry into his mouth. He wondered briefly if he would put other things in his mouth too, but then he mentally slapped himself for thinking something that crude in the first place. He began eating slowly as he tried to get the blush to go off of his face.
Axel looked around him and let out a surprised gasp. This place was simply breathtaking. He smiled as he was led to the middle. There was a little inlet surrounded by water on all sides. There was a bench in the middle as well. "This place is so beautiful," said Axel as he went to go and sit on the bench that was under the shade of the tree. Everything was so full of life around him. Hell, sure he had seen gardens before, but nothing compared to something wild and free growing. |
Riku was glad when Sora started eating. He still didn't like the fact that he was the first one to start eating, but it was too late to change anything now. He wasn't going to let it bother him. The silverette tilted his head curiously though as he watched a blush spread across the brunette's face. What was he embarrassed about? Or was he sick? "You okay? You're face is kind of red." he said, a little bit of concern coming through.
Roxas smiled lightly at how amazed Axel seemed. This place always seemed to get that reaction when people first come. Not that many people come here, but still. He went to take a seat on the bench next to the redhead and he nodded. "Yeah. Me and my friends would come here everyday and go swimming." he said, leaning back in his seat. He wondered briefly if it was warm enough out to swim, but decided against it. He didn't know how long Axel was wanting to stay here and he didn't want to seem like a bother if he got wet. |
Sora continued to look at his plate as he continued to eat slowly. He didn't know what he could say to the silvernette. Looking up though he smiled at the other male and said,"There's nothing wrong. I am just glad that we are here the two of us, together. It's like we're on a real date right?" Sora smiled at the other male as he went to go and take a bite from his burger.
Axel listened to the blonde talk as he found himself smiling again. He loved his time with the blonde, and he never wanted it to end. He looked over as he heard the blonde talking about how his friends and him used to swim in it all the time. That must be nice, being so carefree that was. Maybe someday he could come here and swim around with Roxas, and do some other things as well. Shaking his head he tried to rid his head of those thoughts as he said,"Maybe someday we can come here again." |
Riku nodded, a small smile forming on his face. So Sora thought of this as a date? That was completely fine with him. "Yeah. It's just like a date." he agreed. The silverette had actually been considering this to be a date between them anyway, so he was glad that the brunette saw it the same way. He took a bite of his burger and relaxed against his seat.
Roxas smiled happily when he said that when Axel said that he would want to come back here again. "That sounds like a great idea to me~" he said. He would love for the chance to go swimming with the redhead and he hoped that he wouldn't mind. He was silent for a moment before grabbing hold of Axel's hand. He didn't want to go anywhere... He just wanted to hold it and he hoped the older male wouldn't mind. |
Sora looked at Riku as he saw the silvered hair boy smile in front of him. He found himself smiling as well. "Indeed it's like we are on a date," said Sora as he took another bite of his food. He knew that he probably shouldn't ask his next question, but it was bothering him. Looking at Riku again he found himself saying,"Riku, do you love me?" He then turned his head from the other male again as embarrassment painted its way onto his cheeks.

Riku found the smile on Sora's face to increase just how cute he was. He really couldn't help thinking like that, even if he would never admit it. He was about to take a bite out of his burger when he heard the brunette's question. What had brought that on? A blush spread across his face, even though he tried to fight it. He knew he couldn't admit to the brunette about his feelings, so he was going to just say a small lie. "I.." he paused, noticing the blush on Sora's face. Why was that? Was he asking because he loved Riku? The silverette couldn't say that he didn't return his feelings now... At least, he knew he could tell the truth. So Riku smiled lightly and nodded. "Yes. I do."

Sora looked at Riku as he smiled at the silvernette. "I am glad," he mumbled as he continued to eat some more of his fries. He was glad that Riku returned at least some of his feelings. He wished that the time that they had together wouldn't have ended, but he knew that he would have to go back to the palace soon.

Riku was silent for a moment, eating his food quietly. He was still curious about as to why Sora would ask such a question, but he decided he really didn't care. After all, now he didn't have to hide his feelings from the brunette. But now there was worry eating at his mind. What if Sora didn't return his feelings? He just had to ask. "Hey.... What's your feelings towards me?" he asked, needing to know the answer so he doesn't feel like an idiot for confessing his feelings for the boy in front of him.

Sora looked up from his food. He knew that if he had something about liking Riku then the question was bound to be turned on him. Sora looked up at the sivernette as he swallowed the last of his food before he looked at him and said,"I love you, and I always will." He couldn't believe how inept he was at this.
