Uncharacteristically, Holly clapped happily. So far everyone's powers were...pretty cool. Shifting her weight uncomfortably she also stepped forward.
"My main power works, and looks, better when I'm in actual combat..." she shrugged and looked at Jacob. "In this case, it sort of does the same thing as yours." Holly looked around for something to shoot at and spotted an abandoned cargo box. Pointing at it, a crackling bolt of blue electricity shot from her finger tips; blowing up the box and sending little bits of wood flying everywhere. "Sorry," she laughed sheepishly. She added, "I'm also pretty flexible," Holly took her arm, bending and twisting it in all different directions; most not looking natural in any way. |
|
When the box blew up Angel gave a little flinch. Everyone here seemed so much more powerful that her and she was truly thankful that she was on their side. Then when she saw the girl bending her limbs in unnatural ways she diverted her eyes slightly, it made a shiver run up her spin but she said nothing, it was a useful ability to say the least. Her wings fanned out behind her as she took her bag off her shoulders before returning to there resting place, folded up on her back. They often aggravated her but she never took their usefulness for granted.

Viktoria watched as others demonstrated, impressed, but not really wishing to demonstrate. To demonstrate, she had to find a subject to shapeshift into. "Well, here goes nothin'." She grinned before observing Jacob for a moment. Simultaneously, her body morphed rather quickly into an exact copy of him, even wearing the came clothing as him. "I can do animals, too." she said simply, then morphing back into her own form. Then, Veila did a quick lap around the building, her speed would make her more of a blur than anything to the naked eye. She then stopped back in her place, "Could've been just a tad faster but, I'm still working on that." she smiled again, then waited for the next demonstration.

Ally felt like she was going to collapse and sleep in a coma for three days. She hated teleporting, that was the only thing that really drained her and Matt knew that. But Ally had no choice, she had to make him seem like a mutant or he can't come with her. The young girl quickly teleported him back to where she was and held onto him like her life depended on it. But she didn't look like she was about to pass out though. Ally stood on her toes and whispered to Matt saying, "Play along." she got off of him and smiled cheerfully at the surrounding mutants. "I can manipulate fire, but I think I already told you that." Ally smirked and stepped back, she breathed a little flame to her hand and made a little figure of a cat and quickly disappeared. "Well, I kind do better but I'm really exhausted from traveling.

((Guys, I wanted to tell you that I put up an OOC thread, which can be found here. Feel free to propose some ideas you may have for the roleplay! I look forward to hearing from you! :D))
Jacob couldn't help but clap at the wonderful demonstrations of mutants' powers. They were phenomenal. He had sent the kids that came with him home to the island, giving them plenty of time to hang out with their families and whatnot. "Guys, how would you like to join my team?" he asked, signaling the mutants to gather around. "Essentially, we protect mutants from human cruelty. We rush to the defense of mutant communities all over the world. It's not a requirement to be allowed on the island, but you'd be making a difference all over the world if you decided to join." He stopped, letting his message soak in before he would continue. Eventually, class was over, and Tali was free to go for the rest of the day. Tali left the class anxiously, running to her 'house' to see her mama and papa, the man from before. In around five minutes, Tali was at her house, panting slightly as she peeked into her papa's study. He was sitting there in his large recliner, rubbing his eyes furiously. Without a second thought, Tali walked into the room and climbed up onto her papa's lap, leaning her head on his shoulder as she asked, "What's wrong, Papa?" "The government wants to take you away," the man stated simply, pinching the bridge of his bony nose. "The U.N. believes you're too powerful for one country to possess, so they are ordering us to give you to them. It's all because you're an Omega-Delta class mutant; the highest the scale goes so far." "You won't let them, though. Will you?" she asked, obviously worried. "A man's on his way to talk to you about it as we speak, but no, I won't let them take you," the man replied, smiling slightly as he tickled his daughter's stomach. She giggled like the toddler she appeared to be before she relaxed in her papa's grip and sighed contentedly. Unfortunately for Tali, the U.N. had asked many times before. Tonight was probably the night they would use force. The man reached into his pocket, trying to keep from disturbing the now-sleeping girl on his lap. He withdrew his cell phone and called Kenji. He almost gave up when it went to voicemail, but remembered that Kenji usually checked his phone and recorded his message. When played back, Kenji would hear, "Kenji, this is Dr. Merecoly. I need you to watch Tali tonight. Come on over to our house when you get this," with the sound of a little sleeping girl's breathing. |
Angel nodded to what Jacob had suggested. "I would be willing to join your team," Angel told him softly as she turned to him with a gentle smile. "I have always been trying to find ways to use my abilities to help others, this would be a perfect opportunity." As she thought about it, excitement filled her. This was what she had been waiting for ever since she discovered that she was a mutant. "I think I would be a very reliable asset to your team," she added hoping to help her chances of him letting her be a part of his team.

Alexander looked at everybody as he noticed them all show off their powers. He was a little hesitant to show his powers in front of them. "I guess everyone else went.Do i have to?"he said softly to himself, complaining a little bit. He didn't fully control the powers so he wasn't sure if he should or not."Um.Would it be too late for me to show off my powers?"He asked softly, feeling like since he didn't do it yet he was slowing them all down.He stared at the warehouse ground for a moment, wondering if they thought he was stupid for not showing off his powers yet or even doubting that he even had any powers.
After finnishing with his training Kenji began to head back to his room.Just before he opened the door to his room he noticed he had a voicemail. He smiled as he noticed it was Dr.Merecoly. He now walked outside of the millitary building so nobody could hear the call, in case something was important. He listened to the message as he noticed that they had just wanted to have him watch tali. He walked quickly to Dr Merecoly's home, wondering what was so ergent. He wanted to keep her safe even though he knew she was a mutant. He soon got to the door of the house and softly knocked on the door, trying not to knock so loud so he wouldn't wake tali up. ((sorry i'm so slow, i have a bit of writers block)) |
"Great to have you in the team then," Jacob responded to Angel, smiling brightly. "We don't have a team-name, so you can discuss that amongst yourselves. It seems like you all have pretty good control over your powers, though. Very good stuff. It means we have to take less time teaching you to control them at home."
Jacob was flabbergasted to see a woman bust through the door, a feeling which only increased when he saw the chopper fly down behind her. Once the shock of the girl, crushing the chopper into a ball had vanished, Jacob created a portal that sent the chopper to the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. "Would you like to join us too?" Jacob asked the mysterious young woman. "We're heading to a safe haven for mutants, and we probably have to go now. That chopper probably had a tracking device. If you're going, hold on to me tightly." He finished by sticking his arms out, leavign something for the mutants to grab onto. Dr. Merecoly had somehow managed to get out from underneath Tali, leaving her on the red armchair in his study, sleeping peacefully underneath a fleece blanket, and was currently talking to the man from the U.N. who had come to speak to Tali. Currently, they were talking peaceably over a cup of tea, though the reason he was there was enough to put tension in the air. "Oh, that must be Kenji," Dr. Merecoly said, rising to answer it. "Would you excuse me for a moment?" "Kenji," the doctor began, opening the door. "I need you to take Tali out into the woods. You need to be at least thirty miles away by sundown, which is four hours away. Can you do it? Come with me; I'll wake Tali up and you can escape through the back window." The man climbed up the stairs with long, loping strides, hoping to keep the man from waiting too long. "Tali. Sweetie, I need you to wake up," he said to the sleeping girl, causing her to stir and groggily open her eyes. She rubbed them like a small child while her dad continued. "Okay, now you need to go. Remember, thirty miles. There is a pack you can take with you at the gates. You'll have to go through the jungle. Now go." He gave Tali a kiss on the forehead before handing her to Kenji and urging him towards the window, while he went back downstairs to keep the man busy. |
Bielle ran downstairs and seen her parents cooking in the kitchen, "Hey mom hey dad, what are you making to eat?" She asked slouching on the counter, "I am making you a grilled cheese sandwich, your father is trying to cook something." Sadi, her mother, said as she placed the grilled cheese sandwich, Bielle's favorite food, on a plate with some fruit. Bielle took her plate and sat down to eat after she was done Bielle looked up to see her father, Henry, failing miserably at the oven "Um dad do you need any help?" She asked walking to him. "No, I'm fine why don't you go out and do what ever it is teenage girls do." Henry said looking at Bielle then back into the pot. Bielle shrugged her shoulders and decided to leave, "By mom and dad, I'll see you later." Bielle said with a smile as she opened the door and ran down the street.
Bielle ontinued running until she started to walk in her black babydoll dress shoes tapped the cement and her shredded dark purple mini dress swayed in the gentle breeze that made the dress move more than it was suppose to. The dress stopped at her thigh and stopped at her fingertips. Her hands weren't human, her hands were the sharp parts of her sleeves, her skin was grey, a dull grey. Bielle's hair was a bright blonde but were in the sharp of horns, her eyes were the most beautiful part of her body except that she was missing her left eye and had stitches running along her body. Bielle smiled happy that she was outside feeling the breeze but unfortunately Bielle couldn't enjoy most human things since she was dead. Not paying any aattention she walked passed humans that gave her a strange look because of how she looked and what she was. |
'Hm...that's an awful big decision...' she looked around at the other mutants. 'Well, I guess I should go...helping people is better than trying not to die from bullets every 10 minutes.' Holly nodded at Angel as the girl decided she'd join.
"Count me in too, I suppose." Holly put a hand on Jacob's out stretched arm. If anyone was going to be left behind, it surely wasn't going to be her. |
The woman that busted through the doors startled Angel but Jacob did not seem threatened by her presence so she shrugged off the woman's grand, starling entrance. When Angel saw Jacob's arms extend she took his hand tightly in hers as she brought her wings as close to her body as she could. Her heart was racing and she couldn't wait to see this island that she had been searching for the past six years. She looked to the other mutants in the room, hoping that they would all agree to join, she was eager to get to know them all and learn about their powers.

Daemon wandered aimlessly, stumbling a bit from exaustion and lack of food. She seemed to be in a warehouse area of a city she had never been to. Leaning heavily against the last one, she slid down the side of the building, relishing in the shade and looking out over the field that she would have to cross. When she heard a chopper, she curled up, pulling her cloak tight around her and making the shadows look deeper, more concealing.
She watched as a girl ran into the field, being closely followed at shot at by a helicopter. She lost sight of the girl when she ran into the warehouse, but watched as the chopper crumpled up into a ball, and then dissapeared into what appeared to be a portal. Cautiously, she stood up, making her way slowly to the enterance of the warehouse. She saw that the doors had been blasted inwards, and made her way over to one side of them. She peered inside, making sure that her hood still covered most of her head. She heard the people inside talking about a team of some sort, and although she was curious, she didn't want to get too close in case she had to run again. |
Viktoria eyed Jacob's outstretched arm for a moment, seeing two of the girls grabbing onto it, taking a moment to think about this again. She didn't want to get involved with something she'd regret, but when she though of their cause, her resolution came back full force. I have to fight for my kind... After all the trouble I've gotten into snooping around and looking for information on this mutant island, am I just going to give up this amazing opportunity? Oh, hell no. They aren't leaving me behind. Viktoria grinned, "Count me in as well." she said simply, adding her hand to the small-and-growing pile of arms upon Jacob's.
|
Alexander nodded softly and smiled.'if i can't show it here i guess i can show it at the island...'he thought to himself, walking towards Jacob and trusting him, he grabbed unto Jacob's arm, not speaking to anyone because he didn't want to be yelled at for not showing his powers yet.He hoped to show his powers when they got to the island. he kept a grip on his scarf as well, not wanting to lose it any time soon.it was the only thing he had other then his memory's that made him remember his father and mother.
Kenji was quiet as he now quickly hurried to the window. He wasn't sure what was happening but he was sure it had to do something with the army wanting full control of her, like a mutt of the military. There wasn't too much of a difference from the ground and the window. With Tali in his arms he jumped out the window, holding onto her tightly so he wouldn't drop her."Do you know whats happening?"He asked tali softly, curious at why he was taking her to the woods.'thirty miles?why? i hope she isn't in danger.' he thought to himself. |

Daemon inched into the room, looking around the vast warehouse. She stuck close to the wall, keeping the shadows around her so as to be less noticeable. Her wings were tucked close to her back, her bare feet made no sound on the ground, and her cloak didn't so much as rustle. In effect, she was a living shadow, silent and watchful. She heard the girl who had been running from the chopper introduce herself, and say that she could negate powers. Daemon practically clung to the wall at this statement; she felt safe with her shadows, and didn't want to lose them just for getting too close to someone. But, she wanted to know what they were all talking about. There was a girl with wings standing there, so Daemon assumed that they were all mutants like herself, or at least most of them were.
Making a split second decision, she let the shadows settle back to where they had been, steppling forward, though making sure that her cloak kept her features hidden. "If you don't mind my asking, what are you all talking about?" she asked calmly, using the shadow her hood created to hide her features, while looking at all the people standing there. |
Jacob couldn't help but smile brightly as the new mutants took him up on his offer. As the number of people holding on to his arms grew, so too did his optimism. "That does't matter," Jacob said in response to Nyx's explanation of her powers. "I can create a special portal for you before we go through."
"Oh! Another one! Truly the fates are smiling down upon us," Jacob said when the newest girl revealed herself. "We are heading to my island. It's safe for mutants there, and there are very few humans that live there. If you would like to join us, just grab onto my arm." "I don't know Kenji," Tali yawned, resting her head against Kenji's shoulder as he carried her. "Papa said that the U.N. was getting tired of his refusals. Maybe they're planning on kidnapping me, or something." Tali's powers were quite extraordinary. She could tie with any soldier in any competition that didn't rely on skill, not to mention she could handle any mutant, no matter how powerful they were. Her chances of winning shot up to ninety-eight percent if there were more than one opponent in a seven yard radius around her, as she could copy both of their powers/ physical characteristics and use them both. It also let her detect anyone, regardless of how hidden they were. This was due to the fact that she knows when people are around. It's almost like her mind sets up a mental link with them to copy their powers, though she can't tell who it is that she senses. "Kenji, there's someone up ahead," Tali warned, still resting in Kenji's grasp. "Maybe you should take the long way to the gates instead." |
Daemon looked skeptically at the man, but seeing as most of the others were holding onto him already, she couldn't really see the harm in it. Reluctantly, she pushed back her hood, leaving her features in the open. She flexed her wings a bit, dislodging her cloak from over them, which she then wrapped around her neck as a sort of scarf. She wore simple black pants and a plain, long-sleeved black shirt undernieth. She blinked her eyes a few times, getting them used to light again as she had gotten so used to walking around with her hood up, before looking at the group again.
"People call me Daemon. And if you have a safe place to stay, I would be forever greatful." Slipping back into the formal speach pattern she had been taught when she was younger was all too easy. She was always taught to be polite and formal when meeting someone for the first time. Not to mention that it showed that she didn't trust them, which she wanted. She didn't want anyone thinking she trusted them just because she was friendly - that would only cause problems later. Right now, all Daemon wanted was a place to sleep where she didn't have to be on high alert at all times. |
"WE ARE INNNNNN!!!" cheered Ally waving her arms even though she's getting ready to pass out. The young girl still held on to her friend so she could keep her balance and not collapse. St-stupid... But it's worth it. Ally thought as her eyes grew heavier by the second or more like hours for her. Soon everything grew black and she fell asleep.
"Atcha..." James muttered as he caught the shorter girl, You did a very good job, he thought as he heard the girl muttered something about chocolate pudding being better about vanilla pudding. James looked around at all of the mutants gathered around here, although most of them were women he didn't mind, he didn't really care actually but as long as they somehow help him cover up that he is actually a mutant in disguised as a human but is actually a real human. This way it would make the game more interesting... ((I might not be able to post as much... I think. Sorry.)) |
Bielle continued walking until she heard comotion in a specific building. Running to it, she looked and saw a man standing there with some kind of vortex beside him. "What is that? And who are you" Bielle asked backing away a little. Her figure made her stick out like a sore thumb compared to the man sense he was alive. The zombie girl walked closer to the man then stopped. "Where does that go to?" Bielle asked blinking a few good times and her left eye socket started to make a low whistling sound.

Serhan had been watching and tracking the pair since they left, but it seemed he had gotten too close, the girl seemed to be alerted to his presence. It was time to make his appearance. He shot small spikes of bones through his feet and shoes as he dropped to the ground from the tree he was using as a lookout. Combined with his military training and a slight boost from his powers, the makeshift cleats enabled him to catch up to the two quickly. It was a good time for the mission too, Serhan always did his job better when he was having a bout of insanity. Something about his brain's inane chatter made him able to actually perform more intuitively. He appeared before Tali and Kenji and stopped about 50 feet away. Then he shouted, "This is special agent Karakura, I'll have to ask you to return to the house now. Force will be used if your refuse. And I do hope you'll refuse..." Then he gave a toothy grin.

Malcolm was on his way to the next city, having been run out of this for being a mutant (and hard to kill) when he came upon a field full of abandoned buildings, surrounding a warehouse. It was starting to get late and Malcolm, needing a place to stay for the night walked towards the warehouse, which seemed to be the only one open. When he got to the warehouse he found it full of people, and unafraid he walked right into the building, knowing that they were probably either humans running from the law, or mutants like himself, forced into hiding by the human population. He smiled and said, "Good afternoon."
