it's like a BOGO for chicken

Liztress 02-09-2011 04:49 AM

I like KFC but Bojangles is good too.

fairywaif 02-09-2011 04:58 AM

I've never had Bojangles... I've never even seen one!

Game Master 02-09-2011 05:28 AM

I think it's a North Carolina/ Virginia thing. Liz says they were never any in Florida.

fairywaif 02-09-2011 05:41 AM

Hmm. well, if I end up going that way I'll have to try it out.

Liztress 02-09-2011 05:59 AM

It's worth a try. And if you ever go to like Florida/Georgia/South Carolina and you like BBQ, make sure to eat at a Sonny's. Their food is the best.

fairywaif 02-09-2011 06:11 AM

I don't know. Their barbecue would have to compare to my Mom's! She makes a mean barbecue! I've seen commercials for Sonny's though, so i know it is in the area.

Liztress 02-09-2011 06:14 AM

I'm coming over to your house. I would love some good old fashion homemade barbecue. <3

Estrella 02-09-2011 09:31 PM

Did Liz add me on FB? :o

sidrabutterfly 02-09-2011 09:42 PM

Unfortuntly she hasn't made any lately because we don't own a grill. We used have a grill that was hooked right up to the gas line, so we didn't have go out and buy any. Our Mom would go outside and grill during snowstorms. Ahh, that was the life.

Yes, Liz did. Was she not supposed to?

Vgrace, I never heard of having the grill connected to the gas line.

Estrella 02-09-2011 09:54 PM

Just wanted to make sure it was you. x3 It's totally fine.

Liztress 02-09-2011 10:11 PM

Good, good. ^_^ And yes, it is me.

crazymuch 02-10-2011 12:09 AM

well dad used to barbecue all year round, but he uses charcoal. it just makes the meat taste better. but anyway, he'd shovel the back-porch of snow and start grilling, or be out there with an umbrella and a spatula. that man loves his barbecue!

fairywaif 02-10-2011 12:21 AM

Ha, yeah my Mom (vgrace's Mom also, we're sisters, as her siggy says) was pretty crazy about that. i miss those days. I keep trying to convince her to grill in the park, since we don't own a grill anymore...

crazymuch 02-10-2011 12:27 AM

the quickest way for them to get us to come over for dinner is if he barbecues. :)

Legendary Archangel 02-10-2011 01:21 PM

I am still the top ticket holder :boogie: -raises his mass of tickets high into the air and showers in them-

For those who have NO idea who I am, this is Azazel's Mule

Liztress 02-10-2011 02:47 PM

Yes, you are. And that might have scared everyone away. xD

You know... One thing that I didn't think of until now (and this is thanks to the mass amount of tickets you bought) is what happens if the same person wins more than one prize. I didn't put in the rules if you can win more than one or not. /is a ditz for not thinking that far ahead

Estrella 02-10-2011 02:55 PM

Reading this thread made my stomach GROWL! Nomnomfood.

Liztress 02-10-2011 03:54 PM

Lmao, that is why I try to avoid the mentions of food when I'm hungry. Especially with the thoughts of chicken...

crazymuch 02-10-2011 10:35 PM

that was like today, in my anxiety group we got talking about positive self-talk ... how we have a knee jerk negative thought and how to then reword it in your head, like "I can't do it" becomes "I am doing it and I am fine." so I brought up "AH! Kill it! That spider is going to eat me!" hoping to get a positive idea of a thought instead ... the class ended up talking for about 15 minutes about spiders. we found out later one of the girls has a serious arachnophobia! we all felt horrible.

sidrabutterfly 02-10-2011 10:54 PM

I'm glad I don't have arachnophobia. I only get scared of the really huge, big as your hand spiders. I don't want one of those in my house while I am sleeping thank you very much. My mom has no fear, she just scoops them up and takes them outside. She is my brave protector.

crazymuch 02-10-2011 11:09 PM

the only spiders I don't like (aside from Black Widows and Brown Recluses ((which have both of those here))) are the ones that follow me. you know, you move a bit this way and they move in the same direction, keeping up with you. and then when you look at them, you can see them looking at you and their little mandibles all twitching like it's licking it's lips or something! those meet the bottom of my shoe SUPER fast!!

YamiSora 02-11-2011 07:12 AM

heeeeeeh Sora isn't afraid of spiders, or bugs in general, he just doesn't like them....the only exception is butterflies and ladybugs............OH! and rolly pollys XDD

Antagonist 02-11-2011 11:22 AM

I don't mind spiders, as long as they don't bite me. :XD

I can't stand earthworms and wriggly bugs...like centipedes and millipedes and maggots etc...they freak me out. Caterpillars are okay though.
