~ Sin of Angels ~ Demons of Virtues ~ http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs48/f/20...rkDragon77.jpg Ever since their creation Angels and Demons have fallowed their stereotypes. Angels, beings of light who do not crave, can not fall to Sloth, Gluttony, or Greed. Do not anger or show Wrath. They feel Pride only of others. They do not Lust after or Envy another. Demons, those who live in shadows, feel Pride only for themselves, want for everything or everyone, Envy everything, fell Sloth and Gluttony at all timesBut the thing both were Born never to do was fall in Love Humans have gone through many evolutions, so it should have come as no surprise that these higher creatures were able to as well. But it did. Angels and Demons grew and broke their pattern, their ‘molds'. Angels fell to Sin, and Demons fell out of Sin.But both grew the ability to Love But not all evolved, in fact only a few have. The majority still hold to the old ‘mold', hunting the new. Plus God and Satan have no clue as to who created these new ‘molds'. All they know was it all started when the greatest taboo happened. -- "Celenia, a great Angel of Light, was sent down to Earth to scout for invading Demon troops. Nathan, a powerful Demon lord, was leading an army to Earth's surface. When they came face-to-face, the world had stopped, just a moment, for the two. Then the only thing heard was a voice from no where. ‘I give you both the freedom, the freedom to choose thy path, choose what you want, each other or the old ways. Choose wisely, for it is not only your own, but that of the future.' The two looked each other in the eyes, studying the other. Then as if reading each other's mind, agreeing wordlessly to explore this new feeling. -- It was years later, after they had fallen to their personal Sin, when God and Satan both put out a hunt for the two. They fled to Earth and hid, for hundreds of years, never found. But it was too late, the wheels of fate were on motion. More would soon fallow into this taboo." -- Now Thousands of years later these same creatures, be they of new or old, grew the abilities to love another, along with fall to sin or rise to virtue. But those few who have had to hide it, for a new hunt was out, for those who could love. How did this start? Who made them? And Why do it? ---------- ~ Rules ~ Fallow Them ~ 1. ---------- OPEN TO POST |
Draiden pulled up the collar of his trusty, old coat against the chill breeze. It was unusually cold for a city on the coast like this. The sun was getting ready to set and the wind rolled up against him in waves. He looked just like any other homeless person in this place, except his hair wasn't dingy and rather than wreaking of garbage, if you got close enough to him, he smelled kind of sweet. He would have seemed a few inches taller if he didn't slouch as if the weight of the world were resting on his shoulders. As much as Draiden had grown accustomed to this planet, he wanted to go home. He wanted to pretend this never happened and go up and join his holy brethren and not have to hide his wings or his story. But he knew he couldn't. He had held onto the faith that his Lord and Master would one day call him back, one day forgive him and treat him with as much love and respect as He did these meek people for so long, he hadn't even noticed the hope slipping away. Until it was gone completely. He sat down wearily on a bench, and pulled out a hand-rolled cigarette and felt around in his pockets for a match. No such luck. He glanced around and saw another man sitting next to him.
"Excuse me. Sir?" he asked softly, the cigarette held gently between his teeth. The man jumped, apparently not expecting him to talk to him. "You wouldn't happen to have a match, would you?" There was an awkward pause and then the man seemed to register the question. He reached into his pant pocket and pulled out a small lighter, tossing it to Draiden. Draiden lit up, took a long drag, and then offered the lighter back to its owner. The man shook his head. "Keep it," he said, rising and walking off to find a more secluded place to sit and wait for God only knew what. Draiden sighed and tucked the lighter into his inside pocket for safe keeping. Then he leaned his head back and exhaled, letting the smoke waft upward in a silent prayer that he knew would go unanswered as he sat hidden in plain sight of the world. |
Silver white wings, that seemed to glow a light blue brushed against the pale skin of their owners legs. Long purple hair flowed down below their waist. Artemis sighed, opening her dark lavender eyes to look up at the moon, which was full this time of the month. She was thinking back to her time as a 'goddess'. She wouldn't regret it for the world, even if they shunned her for it 'among other things' she thought to her self. She had been standing among the many branches hiding away from prying eyes, her wings needed the release from their concealment. She briefly herd a exchange, then sniffed as she smelt something. She looked around, to see if anything was burning, nope nothing. She fallowed the smoke tails, leading to a male on a bench. She blinked, at first she thought he could see her, but he seemed to be lost in his thought as he was leaning back. She gulped 'oh man, please don't see me!' She hastily though, getting ready to move away quietly.
Anaed huffed crossing her arms as she sad on the cold concrete. She thought back to what happened, she was only asking for one fight, it's not like she was going to kill the guy, even if that sounded like a good plan. She even said please 'but no-o, they had to just throw me out, literally.' She sighed then slowly stood up brushing of her jeans and hoodie, grumbling as she did so. "Maybe I'll go get some hamburgers to make me feel better...yeah I'll do just that" She smirked then happily walked down the street to a nearby fast food rest-rant, completely forgetting about what just happened. |
A flash of silver, just out of the corner of his eye. Draiden lifted his head and glanced into the thick foliage on the opposite side of the street. He thought there had been movement. But as the wind once again caressed his face, he took it as a simple trick of the shadows. Nevertheless, as he rested his head back once more, he kept his eyes focused on where he thought he had seen the light, taking his cig and lightly dropping the ashes from it with a flick of his wrist. There it was again. He sat up, leaning forward. His brow furrowed and his cold grey eyes narrowed as he focused.
"Hello?" he called gruffly. One hand subtly reached into his overcoat, past his concealed feathers to his thigh, where the chain hung around his belt loop. He had never been mugged or jumped before, but he'd be damned if he was going to let his guard down anywhere. Maybe /they'd/ found him. Maybe they were preparing to kill him now. Quiet paranoia settled in to his mind. "Anyone there?" he barked, letting the cigarette burn without use out of the corner of his mouth. |
Artemis cursed under her breath, she was crouching low on the branch allowing the leaves to hid her, but he some how knew she was there so that just threw of her plans to escape. She gave a 'ch' out of the side of her mouth as she thought. Most likely he was human, so she could implant the thoughts of never seeing her if he did find her, but on the off chance..she was screwed. She couldn't change back because, that would give away her position, and then he would know something was up. She was cornered. She sighed then spoke in her low alto voice "Umm....nothing to be alarmed about, just a random stranger in a tree stargazing" She said as a last resort, hoping he would leave it alone.
Anaed had started to skip a a bit as she made her way the last few bloke, along with pulling out her i-pod, putting it in her ears, blocking out all the human noise around her. She mental gagged as she passed on male 'jeez, if your going to drink alcohol, at least stay home till you don't stink' she just rubbed her nose then went on her way to Burger King |
He frowned, his whole face seeming to say "Do I look stupid?". He retained this expression as he flicked the little butt of the cigarette out into the street. Finally he rolled his eyes and shrugged it off. If this mystery person was willing to put on that kind of lame excuse, his guess was she wasn't planning on hurting him. The army of angels tended to be a little more blunt and, well, clever than that. He scratched the back of his head. "Eh, you too?" he muttered, looking up as the stars appeared. He rose silently.
"Best of luck with that," he said with a wave and began to walk off in search of a place to sleep, maybe something to eat if he could find it, his brown braid thumbing against his back. Another breeze slipped under his coat and plucked one, sunshine-colored feather from his concealed wing, carrying it away and down the street, unnoticed by its owner. |
Artemis sighed, sure she looked like an idiot, but hey she like being alone. When she opened her eyes she saw something fall down. She jumped down, softly, so he could hear. She picked it up. "It's a feather...is he...?" She looked up at his retreating figure, and with out thinking called out to him "Hey random stranger in the old coat, you dropped something!" Right after she said that she remembered her wings. "Shit..." She looked around for something to cover them with.
(No Anaed post for this one...) |
Draiden turned around. What happened next seemed to happen in slow motion. He saw the silver again in the corner of his eye and he recognized it even before he'd turned all the way around. If he had had a heart it would have stopped. She had wings. She had wings. Dear god, creator of all that was good and holy. He spotted his own feather in her grasp. His eyes widened. "Y-you..." His mind was racing too quick to finish the thought. He took a step back, preparing to run, to let his wings burst free and fly, to flee.
(Want Draiden to try and catch her attention too? Or wait for QueenDarkSide to post so the gang's all here?) |
Artemis watched as he slowly turned. She furrowed her brow, why were his eye wide, and did he look scared? She quickly let her mind to a quick scan of his. Yes he was scared. She quickly held up a hand palm forward "Calm down, I'm not going to hurt you or anything...Unless your going to hurt me...." Since she had found the feath, he was either a angel, or was carring a dead bird. She was going with the formar. So either he didn't know about the hunt, didn't care, wasn't hunting her, or was being hunted too. 'please let it be the last one, not that i hope he is, but it's good for me....gaaa stop talking to yourself Artemis' she sighed she pulled out her sias and bow, then placed them on the ground "There, see, no trouble."
(You can do what you will...the new guy is probably going to post with Anaed. So that other lady can choose which party to join) Anaed finally made it to the rest-rant, she quickly ordered, made sure to make it a large combo. Then walked out the door munching on fries. She hummed to her self as she scarfed the stuff down. 'well I may hate humans, but their food is great.' she threw the bag away when she only had her drink left "mmmm....root beer" she murmured to herself |
Draiden felt a quick violation of privacy of his own thoughts, for what particular reason, he could not say. But he took a guess that if he had his own unique powers, she probably had some too. Nonetheless, she had layed down her weapon. He looked down at bow and then back up at the angel, gnawing on the inside of his cheek. Finally, he nodded. "Okay," he said flatly, giving her a once over. "Can I ask why you're here then?"
((Alrighty.)) |
Feliks saw Anaed leaving Burger King right when he was entering the so called 'restaurant'. But he didn't pay any special attention to her at the time, he already had his daily entertainment planned out. Feliks walked right up to the counter and stared at the worker with his dead eyes and a smile plastered on his face. "Ummm...Can I help you miss?" The worker asked as he looked at Feliks a little confused at his appearance. Feliks smiled "I want a number 11!" he said like a child. The worker looked down at his computer and a puzzled expression crossed his face as he scanned the keyboard "Umm...We dont have a number 11", Felicks pointed at the menu "Ohh then whats that?" The worker looked back, looking at the menu over and over again "Where? I don't see anything" Felicks was still pointing, "Right there next to number 10!" The worker raised his voice a little "We don't have a number 10 either!" Felicks pouted, "I want a McNuggets!" The worker became angered at Feliks "This is Burger King! We don't have that!" "Then I want Filet Mignon! Hold the filthy pickles!" Feliks said almost to a beat. "What are you talking about?!?" the worker asked now angry and confused only to receive the reply "Fly chicken fly~!". "You're holding up the line ya little brat!" Feliks looked up at the worker and began to fake tears causing the worker to panic "H-Hey calm down" he said softly not wanting to let the other workers know he caused a customer to cry. "Give me 30 bucks and some food to go" the worker looked at Feliks pissed "What the hel--" tears started falling from Felicks' eyes and the worker panicked "Okay okay!" .The worker, fed up with Feliks' antics, turned around put a random assortment of food in a bag and gave it to him and at the end of his nerves said "Please leave.....please" Feliks looked in the bag then turned to the worker "30 bucks" he stuck out his hand and shook it "Gimme...Now" The worker sighed and reluctantly took out his wallet and gave him 30 dollars "You little devil" he said whimpering, Feliks smile glowed "Thank you for your time~!" he said as we waved good bye to the worker.
Feliks left the resteraunt and went skipping in Anaed's direction while humming and munching on some fries. |
She hummed in thought, the began to speak "Would you believe me if I said I have no clue. I was flying looking for a populated city, took a break. My wings hurt from hiding them, then I stood in that tree resting." That's basically what happened, she didn't point out the fact that's she was being hunted or that she had been in the town for two months. But hey he didn't need to know that.
(jeez I have nothing to wright)) Anaed, being a demon, had eaten her food quickly, so as she was sipping her drink she could hear all the commotion going on in the Burger King, just a few shops awahttp://images.menewsha.com/forum/editor/color.gify from her "What the hell..." She mumbled. She turned to see what was going on, but sadly couldn't see anything. She huffed again, still in a bad mood "I hope they got robbed" She turned and started walking again |
[[Sorry for the delay. Had a busy night last night jumping between sites. ;__; Where are we?? In a city, I presume! Well, I'll post and you can tell me if I need to update it. ^_^]] Frankie was perched on the roof of a building, kicking her skinny leg back and forth, leaning back on her arms, her wings twitching slightly. She loved just loitering in the city. She often got harassed by the building managers with brooms, to get off the roof. Today they came out in a pair, both with brooms. "Get out of here, you freak!" they yelled. Frankie just stared at them with a cocked eyebrow "Yeah. I'll get right on that." she'd reply, and turning her attention back to the city. She had a good view of everything around her, so why would she want to move because it made an inconvenience for another. "YOU'RE RUINING BUSINESS!" the managers would yell "Screw you." she'd reply in a low tone, growling under her breath, her eyes turning to black as she looked back with narrowed eyes at the owners. One stormed up and struck Frankie's wing weakly. Angered, Frankie stood, standing a good 2-3 heads taller than them both, not including the height of her wings, she stared them down "You sure you wanna do that again..." she hissed darkly. "Ahh, whatever. You guys suck." she said, turning herself and stepping up on the ledge of the roof. "I'll be back tomorrow and we can do this all over again." she said in a sarcastic tone, and letting herself drop from the roof. Her wings spread out to slow her fall, and her feet mad a large crack and shook the roads as she landed. Frankie began to walk down the street, her hips swaying back and forth. |
Fiddling with the end of her long braid Zalia made her way down the hallway. As she walked the click click of her heels bounced off the walls and made it echo. She was on her way to meet with the ruler of all Demons, Satan or as some people called him, Lucifer. Pushing the huge doors open to his 'throne' room Zalia stopped, crossed her arms and cocked her hip to the side. Today she was wearing a pair of leather pants and a strappy leather top that ended mid stomach. The back was open so her wings could fit comfortably. All over her body were intricate patterns tattooed into her skin. Her blood red hair was in a side braid that rested over her shoulder.
When Satan beckoned her over she began to walk again. Her movements were very graceful, like a dancer's. That was the only one thing she truly loved to do, dancing. Stopping in front of the Demon Lord she knelt before him. "Stand" He hissed out. Obeying she stood back up and looked him in the eyes. Most wouldn't dare to do so but Zalia didn't have a care in the world, she was his pet. "I have a mission for you dear Zalia. One I think you will enjoy very much. I want you to hunt down all the one's that can feel and bring them to me for their punishments, can you do that?" A wicked grin spread across Zalia's face and she bobbed her head. "Oh yeah I can do that." After talking a little longer with the Demon Lord Zalia bowed her head and left. The doors creaked shut behind her as she walked down the hallway once more. Going over to a huge open window she jumped out into the air and free feel for a second before opening her leathery wings. Flying to a different part of the castle she entered her room through another window. She had to pack, for she was going topside to hunt. |
Draiden's lips pursed together as he debated whether or not to believe her. Finally he sighed, and flicked his wrist. The ground where her weapons lay jumped up to her hand length. It was an offer, a sign of trust, handing her back her own weapons. And he wouldn't have done it so abruptly if anyone had been around, of course. Then he heard shouting. How could one not in a place so open and yet so hard that sounds bounced off from everywhere. He listened around, this place was almost getting too loud for his liking. "Sorry for freaking out on you," he said, "can't be too careful." His stomach growled and he grimaced. "Ugh, if only people traded money for stories like they used to. Stories used to be worth more than books back then," he muttered to himself, too quiet for anyone else to hear. "And that's all I have anymore." Looks like he'd be scavenging. People threw out perfectly good food sometimes. He remembered the girl angel standing there a few yards away. "Sorry I haven't introduced myself. Giving out names usually means getting too attached to something." He shrugged. "Plus you were hiding, and stole my feather," he pointed out bluntly.
|
Artemis smiled as he handed back her weapons, in a rather unusual manner, but none the less she put her bow back along with her sais. She giggled a bit as his stomach growl, then blushed when hers did too. "Yes, that's true. They even use to come from miles around, just to hear a good story." She sighed "I have a bit of money, we could go get something to eat...somewhere cheap..." She then pouted "And I didn't steal it, you dropped it." She crossed her arms, then sensing a human mind she closed her eyes and put on her glamor, hiding her wings, and changing her cloths to jeans and a tee shirt. She looked down "Man I really need to change this style..." She shrugged "oh well"
Anaed slurped on her drink till she was sure there wasn't any left, then turned and tossed it in the trash. As she was lowering her arm she sniffed then looked around. 'it feels like someone is fallowing me...' She caught a glimpse of colors, but that was all. 'Oh well' She started walking again, her i-pod blaring, not caring about how it bothered others. |
Walking down the road Jatan followed his sister who was following a woman. Satan had called for him just a short time ago and had told him to go topside and help his sister with his mission. The two of them made a great team together and he knew Zalia wouldn't have minded. He continued to follow after her, wondering when she would finally notice him.
Zalia took a few more steps before she turned and grabbed her brother by the throat, moving very fast. "What are you doing here!" She snarled as she pushed her brother farther into the shadows. Before coming topside Zalia had changed so she would fit in better. Now she was wearing a pair of ripped white skinny jeans tucked into flat knee-high boots. She changed her top for a black lacy long sleeved shirt. Her hair was still in it's side braid. Zalia had tucked her wings away in slits she had on her back, better to blend in with. The Demon still had a hold of her brother as she turned her head to the girl she had been following, looking to see if she had seen them. Coughing Jatan grinned at his sister. "I'm getting better it took you longer this time to sense me. He sent me to help you, he knows we make a good team. Now let go." After a few second his sister did and he rubbed his throat with his hand. Like his sister he had his wings tucked away so he could blend in also. Wiggling his eyebrows at his sister Jatan began following the girl again. He heard a heavy sigh behind him and he knew Zalia was following. |
Anaed looked over her shoulder for a second time 'there it is again.' She was beginning to become paranoid. She picked up the pace just a bit and turned at a corner at the end of the block. If Demons were after her, she would at least get them away from human. She shook her head a bit 'jeez, a thousand years and I'm still not use to these feelings' She looked back to see if she could see who was fallowing her. She then looked around to see where she was, then cursed. She was entering the part of town where no one went, and now they could easily find her. She mentally checked her glamor to see if it was still working.
|
Getting an idea Zalia stepped from the shadows and called out to the girl. "Wait! Please don't run away I didn't mean to scare you!" She made her voice soft and inviting, very different then her usual icy tone. It would be better if Zalia got the Demon to trust her and she didn't know if she was one of the feelers. She had to know first so it looked like she was going to make a friend.
Following his sisters lead Jatan stepped from the shadows also and stood slightly behind Zalia. "Please we really didn't mean to scare you. You know how it is these days, you have to protect yourself. That's why we were hiding, we didn't know if you were a friendly Demon or not." Jatan's voice was deep and soft like his sisters. He was trying to be the least bit intimidating as possible for one his size. |
Anaed paused in her step, then turned to find two demon. 'Just great' she thought sarcastically. She looked them over , one was a female, the way she move told Anaed she was a master fighter. She looked at the taller male, he too move like a experience fighter. She looked around to find no one, so she turned to them "Yes you can't be too careful." She narrowed her eyes "What are you doing on the surface, unless you have a mission too" She did lie she had a mission, that was how she escaped, by going out on a mission and never coming back.
|
Zalia stared at the demon before her before answering. "We were sent out on a mission. Just some recon for you know who. He didn't really tell us much, were looking for a Demon of the name Sharti." She made up everything, even the name. Zalia needed to win her over so she lied expertly. They needed to get close, close enough to determine whether this was Anaed. It was said that she was a feeler and had ran away.
"Have you heard of her?" Jatan wanted to get her talking so she would become more open to him and his sister. Hopefully she would become comfortable talking to them soon. |
Anaed blinked for a second then tilted her head in thought. "I can't say that I have, but then again I'm not one to remember a name" She looked back over at them, they seemed normal enough, though her instincts were still telling her to run for the hills. She sighed "So if your looking for this girl, why were you fallowing me? And what did she do to get the warrant for her capture."
|
"Well then, I'll owe you," he said grudgingly, always one to remember to return favors. He frowned as she laughed at his hunger, feeling as though he was some part of a joke. "But you did hide," he said, wagging a finger at her. Then her wings disappeared and his eyes widened again. "H-How did you do that? Is that your power?" he asked, in a little bit of awe. He had never magically hid his wings, at the moment they were tucked very closely to his body under his coat, making him look a bit bulkier than he really was.
|
"We were following you because you are the first Demon we have spotted and we wanted to make sure if you were her or not. From the description we have of her she has the same hair color as you but we figured out that you are not her." Jatan said with a small smile on his face. Of course everything he just said was a lie but he did it with ease.
Zalia picked up where Jatan left off. The two of them were very good at doing that. Finishing each others sentences or saying what the other was thinking. "She stole something from Satan's chamber, she was one of his mistresses. It wasn't something of importance but no one steals from the Lord, so he sent us." Again another lie. |
