Kalin sighed. "That hasn't changed, clearly." He sighed, facepalming.

Yukina laughed."does that worry you?"

Kalin shook his head. "Not really...." he replied. "You need a hobby...other than annoying people."

Yukina looked to him."do ... I annoy you?",she asked calmly.

Kalin laughed. "No, I don't think that's possible." He said.

Yukina felt a lhgt blush come to her face but smiled."good , but if I o, you have to tell me alright?"

Kalin followed her eyes. This is nothing...it has to be nothing....
"What do you mean he can't leave?!" Edward shouted. Kyle facepalmed. She'd volunteered to go with Edward to the hospital that morning, and now they'd found out that Kalin wasn't going to be released until a blood test was done. "I alreaddy told you," The doctor said in a patient voice, "that we found something in Mr. Kessler's blood that we can't identify, so we're sending it through tests so that we can be sure that it isn't contagious or life-threatening." |
The next day Yukina was sitting with Kalin ,reading to him about alchemy. And showing him all the things she had learned and where she had been.

Kalin whistled. "Wow..." He said. "How long do you think it would take me to learn alchemy?"
"Damn it!" Edward complained. "And I have his ticket! Can't Yukina leave at least?" "Yes, but she won't until Kalin's ready to leave, I'm afraid." The doctor replied. |
Yukina smiled some."i dont know, your a quick learner",she said said clsoeing the book."but it takes a lot of focous,hard work and dedication....and yo have to have a reason for doing it",she said smileing at him.'what would your reason be?"

"A way to get all of us home...and to protect you if we can't." Kalin replied.
The doctor sighed before explaining again. "When I was checking up on Mr. Kessler and Yukina, I discovered a virus in Mr. Kessler's bloodstream. I took a blood sample, and it's being tested right now so we can figure out what it is, and if it's life-threatening or contagious." He said. "And it's because of this that Yukina is refusing to leave." |
Yukina's face turned a light pink and ssmiled to him."well you have good intentions, so I think you'ed be allgood to learn",Yukina said happily.

"Then you can start teaching me when I get out of here." Kalin said with a smile.
"I know, I know." The doctor sighed. "You guys want to let them know you're going out of town? Ed here's making quite the fuss about it." |
Yusei nodded.'good idea.."

Kalin took hold of Yukina's pinky with his. "Thanks," He said.
The doctor nodded. "I can let one of you in. One. And preferrably not Ed." He said. "I'll go," Kyle said. |
Yukina smiled."but in return you have to promise me something"

"Okay," Kyle said as the doctor led them to Kalin's room. |
Yukina looked dead serious." that when we get home , you wont join the dark signers again ....",she said looking him in the eyes.'and thet you'll start to teach me how to play the hermonica", She said this time ith a bright smile.

"Agreed," Kalin said with a smile. "I won't go back, you can count on that much at least."
"In here," The doctor said from outside the door, and Kyle walked in. "Hey there you two," She said. "Ed, Yusei and I came to let you know we're going to be out of town for a few days...well, after Ed had a fit." |
Yukina smiled at him brightly." great!",she said and went to give him a hug but sighed as Kyle came in then looked confused."where are you guys and headed, and why id Ed having a fit..?"

"He just found out that Kalin's going to be stuck in the hospital for another day or so, and he'd gotten us all train tickets under the impression that we'd all be going to track down Akiza, who's in East City by the looks of it." Kyle replied.

Yukina smiled some." I'll refund him after ...but i'm staying here with Kalin",she said calmly.

"That's what the doc said," Kyle said. "Guess we'll be seeing you when we get back from East City, then."
"Yeah," Kalin said. "Good luck getting Akiza back." "Thanks, we're going to need it." Kyle started to leave, then turned back to Kalin. "And here's hoping that you'll be fit for duty once we're back." Kalin nodded as Kyle left the room. |
Yukina smiled as she left."we'll have a few days of none ed madness",she said sighng happily.
